Context

When you want lots of people to contribute in a fair way.

Overview

Everyone in a session draws up ideas in a common format, so it's easier to understand and compare them.

How-to

  1. During an ideation session, make sure everyone completes the following steps for each of their ideas.
  2. Start by drawing a "T" on a sheet of A4 paper, or whatever you have to hand.
  3. Write a short description of the idea to the right of the vertical and beneath the horizontal line of the "T".
  4. Draw a picture to the left of the vertical.
  5. Give it a snappy title above the horizontal of the "T".
  6. Stick all ideas up on the wall or in a shared virtual space and get the group to dot vote (emoji work well for this on virtual whiteboards).
