Radio 2: Wake Up To Wogan

Sir Terry Wogan will once again host the auction of experiences and items money cannot buy, in aid of Ö÷²¥´óÐã Children in Need.

The auction kicks off on Monday 12 November and will run over four days from 8am.
Ìý
The items on offer this year include the chance to watch Led Zeppelin rehearse before their hugely-anticipated concert at London's O2 Arena; an ice skating lesson with Torvill and Dean; VIP passes for Silverstone and lunch with your favourite Formula 1 team; as well as the opportunity to lunch with two knights – Sir Terry Wogan and Sir Roger Moore – which may leave the winner shaken and stirred.

Radio 2: The Music Marathon

Sarah Kennedy will launch Radio 2's annual Music Marathon at 6am on Friday 16 November, inviting listeners to pledge for a request or dedication.
Ìý
The opportunity for listeners to request their favourite tracks will no doubt prove popular, as Radio 2 tries to match last year's record-breaking total of over £2million. The Marathon will finish at 7pm when Radio 2 hands over the fundraising baton to Ö÷²¥´óÐã television.

Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio Pudsey

Ö÷²¥´óÐã Children in Need fundraisers will have their very own radio station when Radio Pudsey launches on Monday 5 November.

Broadcasting online throughout the month, Radio Pudsey will feature live content as well as the best of the radio and TV content produced by Ö÷²¥´óÐã teams around the UK in the build-up to Appeal Night.

The live studio broadcasts will be based in Glasgow's Pacific Quays with presenters Cameron Stout, Angellica Bell, Sarah Cawood and Des Clarke offering a lively mix of fundraiser interviews, reports from events around the country, celebrity guests, music requests and news on how previous appeal income has been spent.

Ö÷²¥´óÐã Children in Need in the Nations and Regions

This year's television appeal show will feature live entertainment from Ö÷²¥´óÐã studios in Belfast, Cardiff and Glasgow as well as broadcasts from a wonderfully diverse range of venues around England:

- The Rheged Centre in Cumbria – Europe's largest grass covered building will host celebrations in the North East.
- The Blackpool Illuminations – the North West's famous lights will shine a little later this year for Pudsey's Party on the Pier.
- The Lincoln Eye – a cornucopia of entertainment will be on offer to fundraisers assembled on the waterside.
- Meadowhall Shopping Centre in Sheffield – where Pudsey will switch on the Christmas lights.
- Tattersalls Auction Rooms at Newmarket Races in Suffolk – Europe's largest bloodstock auctioneers, where millions usually change hands at the blink of an eye.
- East Midlands Airport – fur will be flying as Pudsey boards a special flight to Jersey.
- Birmingham City Centre – where 50 pantomime horses will compete to be crowned the Ö÷²¥´óÐã Children in Need Grand National winner of 2007.
- St Paul's Church in Portland Square, Bristol – home to a city circus which teaches skills including acrobatics, somersaults, cartwheels, juggling, stilt-walking, and unicycling.
- The London Transport Museum in Covent Garden – Ö÷²¥´óÐã Children in Need will go underground to get a sneak preview of the newly refurbished museum.
- The National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth – with a special appearance from a free-diving mermaid.
- The Milestones Living History Museum in Basingstoke – which features a Victorian-themed network of streets with shops, a village green and pub.
- Ebbsfleet International Station in Kent – the brand new station on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link.

Poverty on your doorstep

The UK has one of the worst rates of child poverty in the industrialised world. Ö÷²¥´óÐã Children in Need is teaming up with the Frank Buttle Trust, the largest Ö÷²¥´óÐã Children in Need grant recipient in 2007, to shed some light on this issue with a social action campaign running across Ö÷²¥´óÐã local radio stations in England in the build-up to this year's appeal.
