Captain Ian Drummond is the skipper of the Red Eagle ferry, which sails between Southampton and East Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
Sea City joins him on one of the busiest days of the year for Red Funnel, as thousands of festival-goers cross the Solent heading for the Bestival music festival.
He enjoys the buzz of days like these, and the contrast between those heading out for a good time and those coming back after a hard weekend of partying!
There are hundreds of passengers and cars to carry on each crossing and he has just a short short time to get them all on and off and keep the Red Eagle on schedule.
"It seems like mayhem to an outsider but we've been doing this for quite a few years now," says Captain Drummond about the聽importance of experience in the job.聽
Fitting cars on to the decks is like solving a giant jigsaw.
Like many of the people featured in Sea City, Ian went to sea at a young age.
He鈥檚 been with Red Funnel ferries for 17 years.
Formerly he worked for the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, which is part of the Ministry of Defence.
