Sharon Watson
Contemporary Second Round Judge
Trained at the London School of Contemporary Dance, on graduation Sharon danced with Spiral and Extemporary Dance Theatre.
Sharon joined Phoenix in 1989 as a dancer and also choreographed for the company as well as creating new works for the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, National Youth Dance Company and Union Dance.
Before returning to Phoenix Dance Theatre as the 7th Artistic Director in May 2009, she formed her own company ABCD, touring nationally and internationally and lectured at Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
In 2013 Sharon was nominated for the prestigious h.Club100 search for the UK’s most influential people working in the creative industries. For Phoenix Dance Theatre she has choreographed six new works, and produced six tours.
