Going live dangerously

I’m delighted to say that having rebooted computers, switched mics and given the text machine a boot up the bahookey that everything is working in the studio tonight.
Hopefully it didn’t sound too bad on air but behind the scenes it was a nightmare.

It was the last thing I needed as having spent the entire weekend at a three day wedding party I was feeling fragile and was hoping for an easy show. Dealing with technology gone wrong is hard enough when you have a clear head but when you are feeling shabby it’s the pits.

Still, the second half of the show went smoothly enough and we had a great summer mix courtesy of Neil from Stirling. Details can be found .

Tonight it’s live tracks and concert albums. I was delighted that Nancy Cantor e-mailed to ask for Deacon Blue’s Dignity. I’ve got a great version recorded at Barrowland in 1998 where the audience stun the band into silence by singing the entire first verse by themselves. Tune in to hear it tonight. Should be on about half six…
