Drama

Julia Ormond is to star in a new 主播大秀 One drama, Gold Digger, which tells the story of a woman falling in love with a much younger man and the effect it has on her already damaged family.

Factual 

A new 主播大秀 Two series is to recruit young volunteers to work in a hospital to find out if they can make a real change. The Great NHS Experiment, a four-part series to be broadcast next year, will follow a group of 18-23 year olds from all walks of life as they volunteer at Royal Derby Hospital.

The new series of The Real Marigold Hotel began at 9pm on Wednesday, on 主播大秀 One, and follows comedian Syd Little; TV presenter and journalist Selina Scott; actress Stephanie Beacham; Grand National winning jockey Bob Champion; writer and former politician Stanley Johnson; actress Susan George; Krankies double act Janette and Ian Tough; and Eastenders actor Peter Dean; as they head to India on an experimental adventure.

It was also announced that five new history programmes have been commissioned for 主播大秀 Two, including on how Princess Margaret reflected Britain's social and cultural changes at the time, and on the deep historical roots of the Windrush scandal. 

Radio

主播大秀 Radio 2 is to celebrate the 60th birthdays of Michael Jackson, Madonna and Prince over August bank holiday weekend. Paul Gambaccini will hosts a special Pick of the Pops focused on Madonna and Prince, while Trevor Nelson reveals the King of Pop's 20 biggest hits.

主播大秀 Radio Ulster/Foyle remains the most listened to radio station in Northern Ireland, according to the latest figures, an average weekly reach of 566,000 listeners - approximately 37.5 per cent of the population (aged 15 plus). Average weekly reach has increased by 22,000 from the same period last year, with 544,000 listeners - approximately 36.2 per cent of the population. 

Digital/iPlayer

The 主播大秀 iPlayer includes a feast of sport, with Match Of The Day: Community Shield highlights; the Golf Women's British Open highlights; and Rugby League Challenge Cup semi-finals. Radio 1's Ibiza coverage begins, and the Proms season continues with a wealth of performances available to view.  

Regional

For the first time ever it will be possible to see the National Eisteddfod in Cardiff Bay next month through an Augmented Reality app. The bilingual app, AR y Maes, is the fruit of the partnership between 主播大秀 Cymru Wales, S4C and the National Eisteddfod, will allow users to see Cardiff Bay and the Eisteddfod from a new perspective by downloading trails containing location-specific virtual content that will trigger as visitors enter certain locations.

Blogs

Record audiences of nearly 12 million people, 60% of the adult population, are enjoying adapted Radio 4 programmes such as Book At Bedtime, From Our Own Correspondent and Witness, on the World Service.
