Ann and Anton - Exclusive Training Video
With only ONE WEEK to go until the first Live Show of Strictly Come Dancing 2010 (Friday 1st October, Ö÷²¥´óÐã One/Ö÷²¥´óÐã HD, 9pm-10pm!), the excitement is mounting day by day.
Today's training video sees former MP Ann Widdecombe and long-timeÌýStrictly favourite Anton du Beke take to the floor. What do you think of their partnership? Will they get a landslide victory from the judges and the public, or will they end up losing their deposits?

Anton and Anne look so cute together but personally I would have paired Anne up with Brendan. Then they could have given Michelle to me, while Anton played with his hole. In the wall, that is.
I hope Anne takes some fashion tips from Ola and wears a revealing catsuit when they perform the Cha Cha Cha.

That's very impressive considering the height issues - you can tell a pro dancer because he isn't crouching down to accommodate her (see Joe and Kristina last year and to a lesser extent Gethin and Flavia on the Christmas special). Very smooth from what I saw, I think she may surprise us.

Loving this VT.
The dancing is better than I thought it would be and the rapport between them is really lovely. She needs to get some really strong support underwear though and make sure her ballroom dress is heavily boned to help her stand up straighter. It's a bane having big boobs when you dance - I should know. Get 'em under control and it'll make moving around each other alot easier.
I saw Ann on the train once going out on the Shenfield line from Liverpool Street station when she was in her blonde phase and I was pleasantly surprised by how attractive she was in real life. I think she should replicate the blonde look for the show as it really suited her and will make her feel more glamorous for the dancing, which will help her in her performances - I know she will think it's all stuff and nonsense, but I'm right - she does have a feminine side, although she doesn't think so, but it's okay to let it out and be girly in this show Ann. I know you used to listen to experts and specialists in your political career and you have to do research when you are writing your novels - you can trust me not to offer you bad advice as I used to compete and later on teach and coach for competition. I really want you to show people the real Ann that's been tucked away under that gruff exterior all these years. Think chrysalis to butterfly Ann - you can do it.
Looking forward to the performance guys. I think the public are going to love Ann if she doesn't grumble too much.

I love Anton, he's one of the last real gentlemen, refreshing, charming, witty and so very patient and he is a dancer.
Aside from the "feet" problem and the posture problem, I'm sorry that no-ione has stated the obvious, aside from a hint about "stately as two galleons" and that is, Ann Widdicombe is a very large, well endowed lady! I don't know if they make sports bras that big but she needs one, and I am so not trying to be rude, just stating a fact.
I am not looking forward to this, I believe the waltz will be one of the better ones, having seen the first offerings, but thereafter it can only go downhill.
I am wondering if Anton gets the pantomine acts so that he can spend time on his other TV committments? If so, shame on you Anton, we want to see you dancing with somebody who can give the others a run for their money!

Please keep her in the show for a long time, she is adorable. Anton is so gracious too, he certainly needs his sense of humour. As a woman on her own myself, I think she is such a role model, in that she does goes for it and doesn't care. As for her politics mind you, I oppose most of them, being very much a lefty.
Best wishes Anne
