I was sad to see Darren without Lilia and no Matthew Cutler (the best SCD Latin Professional Dancer). Strictly will not be the same without those two competing , no matter how much glitz they try to put into the launch.

The clip is too short for my liking but obviously I know why, lol, must save it all for the Saturday show of course.
Having seen this I'm really looking forward to watching the 'recording' (as I'm out Saturday night sadly).

Can't wait to see who is dancing with the pro on Sat. It looks very interesting and the interviews Ann Widdicombe and Paul Danials gave were funny.

So agree with the comments regard Lilia. I went and saw them both in Latin Fever and Darren and Lilia brought the house down with their dance magic. They were fantastic. I am sure the American dancers are great people, but come on Auntie let us see the pro dancers like Lilia and Darren on Strictly they are two of the best.

I agree it is sad to see some favourite Pro dancers either leave or take on different roles ( my particular favourite is Ian Waite) but we must all be willing to give the new professionals the benefit of open minds, and who knows, they and their - for now - difficult to pronounce names may become our favourites before we reach for the Turkey and crackers at Christmas !

i love this show am not too sure why they had to get rid of matthew but hey i will still support this show. what i would like to know is how these pairings are actually picked. every year i hope anton will win and he is never given a chance with his partners. surely the new dancers should not get the best.........

I really love strictly and I love to see the dances performed with the correctness and agility as long as it doesnt get too raunchy, I feel sorry for Ola and Anton they dont stand a chance of winning come now it is a bit silly, who you going to dig up next (sorry about that comment but it needed saying) we need a little more decorum from the producers like selecting people that stand a chance people with flair.It needs a cealing putting on the age limit say 50 or 55 max as long as they are agile. Why do you keep getting rid of the good ones like Karen Hardy and Darrens wife they were beatiful movers as are all the professionals. You have been thrown in at the deepend Alesha your doing a good job among Bruno Len and Grumpy.

Although I will miss Camilla,Lydia and Ian-I think this year's line-up is excellent!! I cannot wait till Oct 1st!!

I can find no info on this site about the new pro dancers. Can someone please tell me where such onfo is buried?

I am really excited about this years show but I have one question, why do they keep giving Anton the dud partners.....He doesn't stand a chance and I for one would like the opportunity to see what he is capable of! Oh well I suppose there is always next year!

I always look forward to strictly will not miss it, but a little upset with some of the pairings and the fact that the dancers we have grown to love over the years like the lovely Ian waite who i had the pleasure of meeting this summer after the strictly pro tour and matt and brian are not part of the main show this year, i know that ian and darren are in the dance trop but it is not enough for me Ian, matt, brian, darren, and lila are some of the worlds best dancers and have made strictly what it is today and last nights show did not do it for me i am afraid. I also am upset that poor anton always gets the dud partners and poor ola did not fair much better this year.

reply to Amanda I do agree that the pro dancers were different last night and was missing all the pro whose gone like Lilia she was good and Matt and Brian AND ALSO Ian Waite he got lovely wavy hair miss them but still it was good last night.
I wish they should pick Karen hardy or Darcy Bussell for the panel they were good sorry that i am not keen on Alisha

hi bbc when is poor anton du beke going to get a decent partner come on hes worth more than just a couple of weeks in the show does it take a long time for you to pick a no hoper for him so if you have a compertion next year let us see him for longer with a partner who he can winn the show with

@hippo, not sure if you have recieved a reply but 'hippo' and 'sign out' are two seperate functions. you can sign out as hippo if say someone else wants to sign in on your computer. you can also click on 'hippo' and it will list all of your prior comments.

So how is watching Ann Widdecombe and Paul Daniels going to be exciting? Then of course we've still got Bruce - straight into jokes that no-one finds funny - he has to keep waiting for the audience. I've watched all series of SCD - not looking forward to this one at all. Bring back our lovely professionals and Arlene!

I've always been a huge Strictly Fan but after last Saturday's show, I have to say, I was a little dissapointed.
I was absolutely gutted when I saw Matt Cutler sitting in the audience; why did they get rid of him?
Pairing Anton with Ann Widdecombe is a joke. Anton is a wonderful ballroom dancer, he's been there from day 1 and never made it to the finals - give him a break!
Finding out who the celebrities were paired with, was done in such a cheesy fashion...I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Please don't dissapoint this year Strictly!

Bring back Darren and Lilia!!!

Its that time of year again,nights drawing in ,lighting the fire and Strictly on the box .Yessss.Oct cant come soon enough.The pairings this year look really good.How cute does Tina O Brien look with her partner.But I do feel sorry for poor Anton will he ever get a decent dancer .He seems like such a nice person . what about poor Lillia .

The professional line up has constantly changed and only Anton, Erin and Brendan were there from the start. Dropping Matthew and Ian was a real shame but 2 of the new male dancers look very exciting (can't remember the young one's name but I think he may be a mistake). No-one ever mentions that Anton really can't do Latin, his jive is embarrassing.

Doesn't anyone else think Felicity looked FAB FAB FAB?...and teamed up with Vincent- WOW!! Will give Tina, Kara and Michelle a run hopefully ??? Hope she delivers....Artem HOT !!

I think Ian Waite has been one of the most talented dancers ever on SCD. I was devastated to see that he is not paired up this year with a celebrity. He worked wonders with the tall, and often awkward,girls. I am glad that he is in the troupe of pro dancers but it still wont be the same. Any reasons why he has been side-lined when he is still so amazing to watch?

Ann is just SO BORING now- she is coming over as over now as someone to be laughed AT- not WITH- and that is sad TV.I was never amused- loved John last year- Ann not as likeable- not sure of her reason for being there !
I am still rooting for Felicity- she is very keen to learn how to dance- and HOT at 64!!
The problem is, she is detached from it all and just 'going with the flow'- so maybe not immediately likeable with the public and judges....Pamela, and definitely Patsy SOOOO desperate on the other hand- and to me- a bit sad !!! they are being paid a lot after all!! Lighten up Patsy- your life doesn't depend on this !!
The men- apart from wooden Gavin- are really enjoying themselves (plus Felicity)- S C O T T and Matt for the final at the moment!!! Go Jimi too !!
As for the professionals Artem wow !! Aliona and Flavia absolutely drop dead sweet and gorgeous !!
