Hope that tonights show is a good one, and all three couples dance to the best of their abilities.

As I said on another thread, I would have liked all of our couples to perform the 4 dances that they have prepared. I think that would be a fitting spectacle for the final. They will all have spent so much time training this week (even through all the coughs and sniffles going around) that to me it is unfair that their hard work is not rewarded by being allowed to perform all 4 dances.

Poor Matt and Aliona - perfect show dance and bad comments - why?? Kara is fab, but made loads of mistakes - and if you look her resume up is a trained dancer!!! Boo to the judges, lets hope the public get it right!

Good evening all. Could not tear myself away to sign in!!! Well, for my money Matt best on first dance and should have scored 40. But the showdance, oh dear. Very poor choreography. Just a gymnastics session. Kara not great on either dance. Pamela just wonderful on first dance. A little ordinary but perfectly executed. I wanted to go for Matt because it is so much more difficult for men than women. Men have to lead, women do not. But that second dance was just awful, so I think I have to say Pam has nailed it(or should have done). Cannot understand how Craig could slay Kara's dance and then give it 9??????????? It was not worth 9. Ö÷²¥´óÐã, I hope you are not exerting any pressure in the hopes of the "romance publicity"!!!!!!!

Anyway, enjoyed the first programme tonight. Can't wait for the second installment.

Is it just me or are the judges being more strict on their comments and scores for Matt and Aliona. It seems that they want to criticise him for his gymnast background. Surely in the final is definately not the right time or place to do this!

Why are we doing the freestyles second.

The whole point of the dance is that it is the big one as James said.

That being the case it should be performed last as it has been in every series up to this point.

I'm also not keen on the fact that one of the final couples has rehearsed two dances which they won't get to perform. And that is wrong

I can not believe how mean the judges are to Matt. Seriously, Pamela is a lovely dancer but booorrring. Kara is also fabulous but a trained dancer. From the very start they have been incredibly unfair, sometimes making no comment or being highly negative. When they awarded Scott such high marks despite being dragged around the floor it was ridiculous, tonight it has happened again! How on earth did Kara get nines when she went so wrong and was so flat, and Matt a seven, despite an adventurous effort. Starting to feel a little upset with the shifting goal posts

Agree, I'm a Matt fan but didn't really like the show dance that much but then thought that Kara was no better ~ just a succession of lifts and some that didn't come off and no better than Matt really. At least Pam's dance was a dance in the strict sense of the word and she has done herself no harm ~ wouldn't like to call it now. But GO MATT

So here we go again.

How on earth did CRH give Kara two more points than Matt for the showdance? AND, the other three gave Matt a hard time, and Kara some nice comments, but gave them the same score - are they trying to psyche Matt out or something?

I'm absolutely fed up - the judges have been really disgraceful this year with their comments - formal complaint on its way.

PLEASE people, let's even things up and VOTE FOR MATT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yep ..... great programme, a bit disappointed with the costumes tonite overall, and Matt and Kara's showdances were a bit too ambitious ..... Pam and Kara for me ... I think ..... but would really like a 3=way tie!!

Do you follow the show at all, Pamela's dance lessons have been comented on before by the Judges...at 61 don't you think she got it a little to quickly

Latest bookies odds are still Kara favourite and Matt running a close second with Pam some way behind ~ if thats anything to go by......

I don't know whether that is overload, there was lots of discussion earlier in the week about how the phone lines work on another thread and it sounds like overload, given what was said then

Think its a mixed bag after tonight and everyone pretty even. Just down to whoever is your own personal favourite now I guess

KARA IS NOT A TRAINED DANCER.
I am concerned about the number of people who have said she is. She did tap, etc. as a child and then had six hours training to take part in Sports Relief two years ago.
For that reason she was denied one week's training with Strictly, to offset.
So please do not allow this to affect your voting.

What a result!! The top three were in the final, and one of them had to win. The est ever strictly to date!! Cant wait to find out the line up for the next one.

CONGRATULATIONS KARA and ARTEM loved you from the start and so pleased you won ,very worthy winners. What a great crowd this year you all seem to get on so well. We were fortunate enough to be in the audience at the semi finals and saw the devistation that poor Matt went through ,and found it heartwarming when Scott went to reassure him. Pamela and Matt as others were very good losers but in our eyes no losers you all were fantastic.I felt sorry too for Poor Len wasn't he full of cold but as entertaining as ever as were the other judges,Bruce and Tess.Great show,Great series, Great final.Saturdays will not have the same sparkle so Thank you to all involved .

Congratulations to Kara and Artem who were worthy winners of S.C.D Athough my personal support went to Matt and Aliona.
In fact all three couples were worthy no matter who won.
My only gripe would be on the Judges inconsistant scoring Kara Brilliant Dancer as she is messed up bigtime with her Showdance Routine yet managed to score 9's, while Matt while not perfect but relatively no mistakes managed a 7 in his Showdance.
Len doesn't like the acrobatics and tricks and Props but didn't ming Widder's on the Wire c'mon len make your mind up although he was right to Score Kara down for not being in hold 40% of the time in the American Smooth something that the other judges ignored,my point being why have rules as when they are broken and it doesn't affect the scores.

But anyway apart fom that its a Wonderful Program and long may it Reign

I think ultimately, the right person won. It was very close in the final, and let's be honest, Kara did enough to sneak it.

When Brucie retires (which should happen immediately) he should be replaced by Brian Connelly (song & dance man, west end performer and great comedian) and NOT John Barrowman (pretend American, pretend Scotsman, pretend everything!!!). Connelly is the perfect Brucie replacement!

Im so glad kara won,matt and pamela thought they had it in the bag, now they can start tere romance, please next year if bruce retires NO NO NO to john barrowman or graham norton, lets see new people on there now instead of the same old faces, happy christmas every one.

After all that build-up thought the final was incredibly disappointing and was not happy with the final outcome.
Matt was first every dance and never got the final (because you are the best -) spot in any of the dances whereas Kara got the psychological high ground for 3 out of 4 dances.

All the show dances were disappointing. Matt too much gym and not enough dance; Lara looked like it was from glee gym show and Pam's was sweet a bit corny doing it to Dirty Dancing but did not really push the boat out enough. Think Pam's the best noneth

Matt's dancing was the best on the night. Kara has been good and the best sometimes but not every time and she made loads of mistakes.

I tried to vote for Matt but could not get through and oh surprise surprise could get through for Kara.

Feels as if people are voting for the "romance back story" and the fact that she is young and pretty. James would have been a much better recipient on this occasion he did Pam proud and was excellent throughout.

Matt did not do enough dancing in his show dance Aliona tut tut.

After all the anticipation of this final with three excellent couples thought ultimately it was a bit of a let-down

Loved the final - any one of the final three could have won - I cried during most it - the dancing was soooo good.
