My 400th page!! Wooohoooo! Man, my eyeballs burn, fingers hurt, my wrists ache and my rear is numb. This book better get published...

So much suffering!! Anyway, congratulations. I assume it's 400 pages on the second book, Moo: you certainly are picking up speed!! # English is my second language. I must therefore leave the assault and battery on the English language to the "natives." A heavy heart is my lot, but, when you come to think about it, I'd really rather join the hue and cry against the fleeing feline felons ... I have always wanted to join a posse, screaming "guity until proven innocent"! and "shoot first, question later"!

Well...the first book is finished. This is the second book. I'm pounding it out all at once so I don't "lose the thread of the story" (which happens if you stop writing for too long...). And THEN I will go back and tinker with the books and tidy everything up and add more details etc. Oh and Brodgar wasn't helping me spell on my blog - just my book hehehe!

And to think the New Testament, the Koran and the Complete Works of McCavity are less than 400 pages!! I pound garlic, Moo produces by the pound, and the last I heard TWS had managed to put FC and Marmlade Unfortunate Chum in the pound. As to Brodgar the grammarian, he may not be evil, but he sure looks it.

My cat Oceanfish is an excellent editor and proofreader- his paws are like lightning on the keyboard- however, he does curse his dewclaw when stretching for the Escape Key. Congrats on Volume Two of The Mighty Tome!

Bound4Orkney: another scribe by the sound of it. Let's cut to the chase. I am finally getting to feel there are too many new island immigrants. No, I am not settling in any of those quasi- flat protuberations passing for islands either (eh?!), thank you very much. How Fred's load did not sink the ferry is beyond me. Had it done so, Fred and his sunken load could have set an example/warning. (Too true: I would have missed him!). By the time he got to the quay and shouted: "I am here, scupper the ferry" it was too late. True there is murder most foul (not quite fowl, not yet) galore on the islands, but still the influx is frightening. And everyone arrives with a computer containing massive hard discs for the murder of the English language. Good heavens, hombre, where is my tequila?

Ah yes, I anticipate many will feel as mjc does upon my arrival to the islands, a feeling I have also shared with mjc when forced to read signs in Spanish in my hometown of Washington, DC. But fear not, dear mjc! I shall be sure to edit my hard disc's spellcheck to correctly spell "colour" and to delete the naughty word for a zippered pouch one wears around one's waist.

I googled "Fred Loads" FC, just to make sure you were not leading us by the nose. Indeed, you are as good as any ayatollah's fatwa: Fred Loads is verily a famous gardener, an inspiration to Fredblog hopefully. I noted also that Loads' colleague is one Sowerbutts. Ah, the range of British family names ... (we have a few humdingers in our own country, but I won't bore you...)
