Worst Wipeout: Down at Rest on my lonesome early in my surfing career, tried to catch a wave far too sizeable for my ability, got thrown what felt like 150 feet forwards and landed on my back (making a noise similar to that of which a belly-flop does!). Winded and gasping for breath, managed to roll onto my board and ride in to the beach coughing and spluttering as I went.
Favourite Manoeuvre: Going left! I'm hoping this develops and changes soon, I seem to be able to do more than just go left but its the only manoeuvre I can purposefully pull off!
Worst Surfing Habit: Not paddling long enough to catch a wave then blaming it on anything except myself.
Best Surfing Experience: know its been said before, but catching my first clean wave. I can still remember thinking 's*** this is fast' and of course I ended up going left!
Weirdest Surfing Experience: Sat on my board out back at Coney, and had a flashback to when I was a kid saying to my uncle "I'd love to learn to surf one day", that picture/conversation had never entered my head since it happened over 15 years ago - weird.
Other Interests: I suppose you could say I'm a sports fanatic; I'm about to start a part-time course in Architectural design; most types of music and obviously enjoying a beverage or two.
