Favourite Surf Films: Retina rehab (NF), endless summers, seasons, recognise the enemy (NF), Big Wednesday.
Worst Wipeout: Surfing a reef break and attempting to make the un-makeable left, needless to say I didn't make it! Got picked up and unceremoniously dumped head first onto the reef.
Favourite Manoeuvre: Just staying in the curl.
Favourite Surfers: Mike Stewart, Ross Mcbride, Jeff Hubbard, Laird-ass Hamilton.
Worst Surfing Habit: Looking for barrels that aren't there, singing crap songs waiting in the line-up, sitting way out back waiting for the elusive "Big One" (which never seems to come usually ending up in hypothermia.
Best Surfing Experience: Finding surf on the north east coast of England where I never expected it. Surfing perfect 3ft reef breaks alone (apart from a curious seal).
Weirdest Surfing Experience: See above. Also surfing Llangennith when it was absolutely tipping down, then thunderstorm came and scared most people out. I got quite close to Mother Nature that day in a very spiritual sense.
Other Interests: Photography, rock climbing, snowboarding, buzzing around on my scrambler, mountain biking, films, books, partial to the odd pint, my beautiful wife.
