Well done SCD!

Another opportunity to see the talented Ian Waite and Ola Jordan in action.
I am not very familiar with career of Miss Wiseman, however it is good to see Mr Judd step out from behind the Drum Kit and show his talents extend beyound Trumpet, Keyboard and Drums of course.
I am sure that these two celebrity pop stars will focus the younger genaration's attention even more on the delights of SCD.

My apologies for poor proof reading but I was so excited at seeing SCD were being represented on 主播大秀 Children In Need.
Of course they want our money for the good causes and I am sure we will donate what we can, I have put some dosh in the fund already.
I am disappointed though that Claudia Winkleman has not volunteered to participate, after all Tess did her bit with Anton in 2008.
Ah well another year maybe, but in the meantime I reckon that young Harry could do very well tomorrow as he is upbeat, talented and fit.
On the other hand, Ian is a brilliant teacher and Rachael could be a Dark Horse in this round.

Still related to the show but not the contestants, the idea to slot the special show in the 8pm slot is a good one. Chidren In Need starts at 7pm and a lot of people do jobs that require overtime or the shift to work till a late hour of the evening. I think the 8pm slot may allow lots of people who DO work late to get home. The load of daily traffic should be lessened at that hour.

Ought to be a good show done for good causes.

I do miss Ian something rotten. So I'm thoroughly looking forward to this.

I have missed Ian too, so I will be glued to the screen Friday night. Looks like there doing ballroom, shame I do like to see Ian in the tight latin trousers(loved the red ones he wear last year with Jade for the salsa)

Great to see Ian back and even better to know that we will be seeing Matt Cutler on the Christmas Special. Thank you Strictly!

As Usual a great and entertaining evening from 主播大秀 children鈥檚 in need however I can't stop thinking that that one factor is continuing to impede fundraising and at the risk of being very unpopular I need to say that it is...

Terry Wogan!

He continues to be his usual sarcastic self in particular his distaining comments against the valuable checks that were received both from individuals and companies e.g. if memory serves his sarcasm to 鈥淕reggs the bakers鈥� and even more astonishing to a 16K donation from Coin Star

Does he not realise that coin star is used by people to cash up their change to buy shopping at supermarkets so not necessarily the richest members of society

So many of these people have chosen to donate their money to childrens in need and Terry can鈥檛 even give the company and these individual donars a 鈥渨ell done鈥�

It's absolutely great that popstars are taking part and it was true that harry should win because he was great .

I see Craig was his usual charitable self. Mind you his was virtually Father Christmas-esque compared to Terry's. What was that about?

Still, best performance won on the night for me. And another feather in the cap of Ola Jordan that James does not have in his. Not only does she have a Glitterball trophy in the cabinet in the Jordan household but she now has a "Strictly Come Dancing: Children In Need Special" trophy. Hahahahah.

Two excellent routines choreographed and mentored by two of the best professional dancers in the 主播大秀 stable.
Credit to both of the celebrities, especially as they only had a few hours for these routines which were worthy of the main show. Ola's Paso Doble was very good and Harry carried the male role through very well, but Ian's dance with Rochelle was beautiful with a classic lift that brought tears to my eyes.
Still that's another trophy for Ola; come on James if you want your Crystal Dance Ball this year.
I hope that the Grey Suits & Floral Dresses watched and learned from this display of ballroom bravado and intelligent instruction which was extremely entertaining for the anticipating audience.
Memo to Management: More of the same please!

Didn't see last night's Children in Need Show but by all accounts was the usual fun and games but still donated.
Re: Strictly Come Dancing. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is sick and tired of the negative comments on the news and other programmes re M/s Ann Widdecombe. What everyone forgets is that these 'celebrities' (doubtful in some cases)entered this show supposedly with a modicum of dancing (social) or with none at all. M/s Widdecombe has never professed to have any at all! With her height,weight and age I say fair play to her. These 'celebrities' are not training to be professional competitive dancers (takes many, many years) but to let the 'average man in the street' see what can be achieved by making the effort to try.
Get real and enjoy the programme for what it is, Light Entertainment, in an oh so dismal world. Forget all the cut-backs etc for just an hour and sit back with a glass of wine,if you can afford it, and chill out. Can't wait to hear what Ann has to say tonight to the judges well, at least the 3 that are qualified to make comment and not just the token 'eye candy'. I can think of one minority on the panel who could do with grammar lessons.

Harry was REALLY good, which I admit, suprised me! I thought he wouldn't put much effort in to the dancing (for some reason) and was just turning up for the 'charity cause' but he really did try and do the dance justice to the best of his abilit! I was impressed having not been expecting much.

Strictly should get Harry for next year! He'd be a great contestant because there is clearly dance potential in him and, secondly, the ratings wouldn't do the programme any harm either.

Rochelle herself did well, and looked beautiful in all her Strictly gear.

At the start I joked that it was Alesha in the Pudsey suit. Then Pudsey gave two ten and I knew it was Alesha in there. Saying that though Len copped out with a pair of nines, so no change from his marking for this year then :)

That Matt fella, if you imagine him doing that week one of a normal SCD year, you'da have to say he'd be a favourite for the series.

and anyway how could Pudsey give tens when he can't see all the arms and the footwork with that head bandage over his eye. I mean he's got no depth perception.
