Once again thanks for this. I'm so glad Colin chose this scene as it was so pivitol(?) for George and I loved the guy who played the Chaplain too - great performance by him.

Thanks Team(again)...please slow down....I can't keep up!!.

Another fabulous couple of scenes. George at first a bit suspicious of he sarky vicar when he finds him looming over Mitchell( must admit I thought at first he was a Herrick plant). Then when the danger was over, going back to talk to him and eventually putting his mind at rest and I think trying to restore the Vic's faith. It is a lovely, gentle,touching scene. Perfect for Russell who is fab at this sort of scene and the Vic who I really hope we will see more of.

Wow only 2 weeks left until the start of filming its gettting exciting now lol even though we won't be there but you know nice to get things going.

Blog team whats the chance of a few sneaky peaks of filming? That would be absolutely brilliant obviously nothing that gives anything away just some little snippets from the set? :-) pretty please?

Oh and definately yes to more Mark he was a brilliant character and the guy who played him is a cracking actor :-)

I missed the pilot and the first 2 episodes. In Oz we get everything late. My hubby is a late night channel surfer, he found this program & knew that I would like it....and I do! We both do. Love debating with my husband about the moral aspects of what exactly makes us human, and just how being human is not necessarily the moral high ground! Love the show. Yes, Mitchell is a dark, handsome, brooding vampire, generally how people generally perceive a vampire to resemble, George is a firm favourite as a most apologetic werewolf, and Annie...what a wonderful ghost.
The actors are perfect, scripts relevant & thought provoking. For, what is supposed to be purely entertainment, this series steps up to the next level.
Thank you to all involved have just seen episode 6, can't wait for series 2!

Austicia: Welcome, all the way from 'down-under'. It is quite refreshng for us old-timers who have been here forever to get a prospective from a fresh pair of eyes. In my opinion you got our three down perfectly...and anyone who describes the Vampire as dark, handsome and brooding is obviously a very intelligent, perseptive antipodian!!

Lol VF you do make me laugh :-D woah just had a really strange moment I forgot how to spell laugh lol christ think this job is actually numbing my brain ahhh someone fetch me a book quick lol.

Did anyone see Something for the weekend this morning? Rafe Spall was on there was a clip of the next desperate romantics hehe excited :-)

The scene is definitely consistent with the symbolic characters of the vampire myth... the hero seeking the counsel of a religious figure... all be it that the hero is a werewolf (... and another vampire..... and a ghost), he, he, he. But then again, isn't that what also happened in Van Helsing?

What George said about the Bible passage.. which was continued by the Chaplain makes perfect sense, because in some ways, I do find George to be childish (no offense).

I had a feeling that George was planning a showdown with Herrick, and it was a neat trick, telling Mitchell that he'll try to find a diplomatic solution and if all else fails, be the one to tell herrick where the showdown will be at, tee-hee!

The showdown was a bit dragging though... there was a lot of lip service involved, but hey, I still enjoyed it.

I think I liked this scene because George referred to his Jewish faith and I liked the way both men spoke about how their faith had become more "elastic" because of the things they had both experienced.

Also the locations of both church and funeral parlour make BH groupie viewing that much easier!

I'd think seeing vampires would if anything confirm one's faith in a religion. I.e. if they exist, what else does$ (good as well as bad.)?

A great scene. George's mention of 'growing up' is interesting too, as in that point in the episode he could mean different things. He could mean that he's going to distance himself from the supernatural (and therefore his friends) in his efforts to become more 'human'. Or it could mean that he is going to accept what he is and use it. It's great that the episode provides some misdirection by suggesting he meant the former, in his argument with the others back in the house, yet he we know how the episode ended.
