do I sense more transcribing in my future...?

• Comment number 2.

ohhh, a diary? is it HAL? Would love it?

yes, OPOSITIV

more transcribing to come!!!!

• Comment number 3.

Wow...tremendously powerful stuff and can i say, beautifully written.

• Comment number 4.

I always seem to have a bit of trouble with deciphering the handwriting.

• Comment number 5.

I think Milo will make it out of the final episode alive. Just got this feeling. I'll bet five cupcakes. Have to go now. Late night screening at the local cinema. See you all later or maybe tomorrow.

• Comment number 6.

Wow! Lots to read.

• Comment number 7.

Wow, a bleak look into the future and 5 years after Future Eve has died! Does this mean she has to live to be the saviour?

• Comment number 8.

Shall I transcribe? Starting now.

• Comment number 9.

Well...*gets on the transcribing then* ight take a while ;)

• Comment number 10.

What's this?
*Settles on sofa and starts to read*

• Comment number 11.

Now that is a fine piece of writing. Very evocative - more so by being so down to earth. All hope abandoned

And dated 2042 - five years after Eve died and went back for Annie.
There are a lot of 5s in this series...

• Comment number 12.

Evening All :)

So five years since Eves death and nothing has happened? The future war continued, the world is in an even worse state. The saviour was unsuccessful. Maybe as purgatory exisists outside of time, the few months that has passed for FW has been years in the future world. I wonder whos diary this is, if he is a ww or human.

• Comment number 13.

Wow. 2042. Sounds as though there was No Mercy, and all is lost.

@BBD - perhaps Eve has nothing to do with it - current Eve or FE. Perhaps she's just a girl born of 2 WWs, and her birth was simply an event that prompted the vampires to act now. Period.

Or perhaps Mr. Snow got tired of SA, and decided now was as good a time as any to take over the world.

• Comment number 14.

I like all of the comments about people being obsessive about mirrors.
Very poetic.
Not a vamp writer. Maybe not even a wolf writer?

• Comment number 15.

@Nikki Are you doing it? Cool, means I don't have to, thx ;)

• Comment number 16.

completed the 3 pages read.
Tragic, but at least giving some answers. Vampires using ownership of buildings as weapons, vampires possibly killed by fire and bombs, vampires using agriculture as means to feed the cattle and religions turning to the WAR CHILD , expect this unknown child as the diary which stops in 2042 does not seem to have ever existed.
Do the OOs want or not the War Child alive?
Has the War Child disappeared in 2012?
She would be 30ys now...
By altering her past, FW has even made it worse for her specie... unless the war child is somewhere hiding in the corridors of time ready to rise up like the phoenix {who has muttered HARRY POTTER?}

many questions and yes you can collect the cupckes I lost...

• Comment number 17.

That is very well done. Great imagery, wonderful emotion, clever storytelling. *applause* to the author.

• Comment number 18.

love the Terminator reference ;)

• Comment number 19.

sorry @saint - does it say the war child doesn't exist? Ican't read it properly, it's too small on my laptop

• Comment number 20.

*Shudders*
I got shivers down my spine reading that. Though I laughed out loud with the John Connor reference

• Comment number 21.

Wow! *gulps* what a harrowing diary extract. So atmospheric and tragic. A bleaker scene could not have been portrayed. Does it mean that FW actually made things even worse by dying? Or is it still an alternative world that will never happen if RW real agenda is revealed? I don't quite trust her logic.

• Comment number 22.

November 2042

I can't remember the last time I saw a mirror in the wild.
The world is full of bathroom cabinets without doors, cars without wing mirror. They've all either been smashed by them or stolen by us.
In the early days, when we realised they had no reflection, people started panic buying them, stealing them wherever they could find them. Thinking that spotting them, recognising them, would somehow save them.
I saw people carrying mirrors from dressing tables, curved shoplifting mirrors, even a mirror ball once. I also saw people get killed for them. Not by csmpires, this is by other humans you understand. Desperate, thinking it would give them an edge. Committing a monstrous act in order to better fight the monsters, the irony lost to them.
It didn't matter. You didn't need a mirror to tell them apart. The living were the ones barricading themselves in, or running, screaming, sobbing. Whereas the vampires walked. As if they had all the time in the world. A Sunday stroll as the world burned.
Some cities were hit worse than others in the first weeks. Whole districts gutted or flattened by bombs, often by panicking humans using their own weapons against areas they considered lost. But some areas are untouched, pristine. In some places you can almost pretend that nothing has happened, if you ignore the stench on the wind.
It's how we view things that has changed. Every location pared down to logistics; how defensible is this street? What are the entry and exit routes? Is there any access to sewers? Who owns this building?
That's an important one: who owns the building? Because if they own it, they can walk right in. Just a piece of paper. A legal convention standing between you and death.

• Comment number 23.

How heart-wrenchingly beautiful, but so very tragic! It colours a truly horrific world with no future..... Oh Annie I would not want to be you right now!

• Comment number 24.

Oh My!

As always, thanks to Rebecca and the team for this. Mmmm, sits down to twirl moustache and ponder. A lot to think about!

• Comment number 25.

thanks Nikki . Blimey!! *speechless*

• Comment number 26.

@Sasha- lovely photo of you, earlier. Always heartening to put face to name. And Damien-oooh !
As for this blog- so intense. Need mojito and comfy blog sofa for a while to ponder.....

• Comment number 27.

@Sasha .. you have a moustache? Or are you twirling Hals as it makes a flying visit. Lets face it - it didnt belong on his face.

Who the heck has written this? Any ideas ?

• Comment number 28.

Yes it would seem that Eve dying does not do it?? So it is something else....
As long as we get a season 5 and so on I can just about cope with the apocalyptic diary entry.

• Comment number 29.

Oooh... Another letter. Been waiting for this.

@0positive By the by, don't worry about spelling my name wrong in the last blog. I didn't notice until you pointed it out!

Got to go now (watching Sports Relief) but I'll be back to read this tomorrow. see you all then! (I'm looking forward to reading your transcription Nikki!)

• Comment number 30.

Evening bloggers, Mods and Rebecca,

Agree with everyone who is saying how well written this diary entry is. Top marks to whoever wrote that.

I wonder how avanced the Vamps plans were, had they always planned to become involved in Agriculture knowing they would need a food source for their farmed humans. Or did they realise they needed it when the infrastructure broke down in a much messier take over than hey were expecting? Hmm didn't expect my Being Human musings tonight would involve me thinking about food supply logistics....this blog takes some fascinating tangents doesn't it!

• Comment number 31.

@ doesitsay, you don't think Annie's written it do you? I can kind of imagine her saying it. I'm probably talking twaddle as usual

• Comment number 32.

news- even the famous mojitos aren't working for me tonight. blog too sobering. It MUST be an alternative scenario if Annie doesn't make the right choice. For some reason I don't think its the infanticide route, either....

• Comment number 33.

Hm...so if a vampire leaglly ownes a house...does only he ge to go in there univited ore all vampires? Has this ever been stated clearly in BH-verse? Because in other verses a living being needs to own a house in orer for vampires to be unable to enter without invitation

@Nikki thx for transcribing ^^

• Comment number 34.

Hi everyone! :D Hope everybody's had a wonderful day?

Wow, I'd hate to be living then. That poor person, and the people too. So I just want to be clear in my thinking that the diary is from the future, not FW's but a future on a different timeline? I hope that makes sense?

• Comment number 35.

@Opositiv - can you rent a house to stop the vampires getting in? I mean, if you rent a house/flat or live in it, a vampire would still have to wait to be invited in?

• Comment number 36.

Great diary....very moving. However I remain confident that the future has already been changed (Eve bringing Hal to HH, Hal stopping Tom attacking the humans and thereby stopping Cutler's plan ....in parts) and that between them Hal, Tom and Lenora will stop the plans for world domination by the Old Ones....well, at least until series 5!

Thanks to whoever wrote the diary and thanks to Rebecca for posting

Just also wanted to say well done to sea, sasha, Saint and inch for providing Damien with nourishment...the poor boy has lost weight since doing Travelling Light so he certainly needs more cupcakes! Great pics....if you want to see mine with him it's on my twitter profile page

• Comment number 37.

They knew this, or course. The first thing they did when they took over the government was to pass a new law. Compulsory purchase orders on every building they had a record of.
Now a building they don't own is an aberration. Perhaps we set it up as a safe house, for a time. And maybe they'll even allow it, turn a blind eye for a week, a month. Maybe. Then they bar the doors and burn it to the ground. Or get the army, their army now, to blow it up. An example to others. To keep the herd in line.
Because they're not stupid. We're their food supply. They need to keep a certain percentage of us alive. And those people in turn need feeding. Which leads to the surreal situation of vampires suddenly becoming very interested in agriculture. Or at least, ensuring that the system in place continues to function. Farming is suddenly the safest occupation in the world. If you own a farm or have an agricultural degree you're virtually untouchable. They need you. You're making the food to feed their food.
I saw a man at a checkpoint yesterday. His papers were out of date, and he was pleading, imploring with the vampire behind the desk. He claimed he was training to be a farmer but it didn't seem to make any difference. As they dragged him off he began to recite a list of crops he'd obviously been learning, he babbled it like a prayer, as if it would save him. A catechism that proved his worth.
It didn't work.
Some people turn to religion. Most vampires at least flinch at crucifixes. Surely that means that God exists, that he's coming back. Surely. Some are desperate to think so, praying to God to come down and smite the monsters. Others make new faiths, placing their hope in another saviour; The Church of the War Child, The House of Eve the Blessed, Witness to the Wolf Born Saviour. Different sects all spouting the same basic story: that the child born of two werewolves will one day rise up and save us all.

• Comment number 38.

@ 4 Rob. Yes, that's what I think, too. I also think FW has another agenda or has deliberately been set off track by "other forces"

• Comment number 39.

RealMitchell...with you on the Annie front...I cannot believe she will bring herself to kill the babe..neither do I see how it would alter events....but I do think that Annie's actions, whatever they will be, will be crucial to the final scenes in BH4

• Comment number 40.

35.@brookesey
I think renting it would keep them out. After all, Cutler couldn't get into the reporters hotel room without invitation and that is less then renting something.

• Comment number 41.

38- RealMitchell, I agree with on FW. I think she has another agenda and has been set off track by other forces.

• Comment number 42.

@ Brookesey - I hadnt thought of Annie as I didnt picture her being around. Think she could do the poetic turn of phrase ( all praise the writers) I keep remembering her her phone message "suicide" note in season 2 " This scream of time ahead of me".. but some of the themes dont fit - the way the writer talks of Eve is a bit impersonal.. however we dont know how time has changed and if Annie may be around.. I wonder if this new future has a lot more ghosts in it and they have made more use of the doors??

• Comment number 43.

@Dorina- yes, don't you think? Annie will be the pivot. About time too. Could also be her swansong....

• Comment number 44.

So is Eve's world is not a happy place - sometimes I think that in Bristol there might be a small sect that follow and prey to the lady in grey - if so could images of Annie one day repel vampires?

• Comment number 45.

@ewan - Interesting thought! If its the emotional component of the image that harms the vampires, this could be so. Depending, of course, on what Annie does on Sunday....

• Comment number 46.

Ooh like that @Ewan_KoG re Lady in Grey. She would walk mournfully from place to place and where her blue eyes alight vampires burn.. ( well some of them anyway).
Have to say Ewan.. KoG - is this King of something - pls xcuse if already explained. Names are importante one thinks? Im Doesitsay .. colonel on my shirt .. quote from SG1.

• Comment number 47.

Some say that the vampires killed her long ago, and that we were all doomed the moment that happened. Others say that she will rise up one day and turn our oppressors to dust, probably arm in arm with Jesus, Vishnu and John Connor as she does so. I think that's just as likely as anything else.
I don't know why I keep this diary anymore. I used to imagine that I was writing to some future reader, some kindly historian that would pore over this account and attempt to piece together how it all happened, how humanity lost the war with the vampires.
I suppose it comforted me to think of it in that way, because I always pictured my historian living in a better world. A world where we somehow had risen up to overthrow them all, long before the historian was ever born. And he would read this account with a detached indifference, in the way that we read accounts of the Black Death.
Distant deaths, long ago, rendered emotionless by the buffer of time. A brutal world unimagineable to his pampered existence.
But I don't think that anymore. I don't think of any potential reader in a better world. I reject that for what it is: vain hope. Self delusion, folly. We have lost. We will not rise up. There is no brighter tomorrow, not now, not ever.
My future historian, if he exists, views our deaths with indifference not because of the passage of time but because his skin is cold, his eyes are black pits and his heart is dead.

• Comment number 48.

Re Annie as the author---- I don't think it could be her in any case because FW says Annie 'went' when she was about 18, and this extract is written 5 years after FW death.....
@Nikki- Have reposted your transcription to Fb pg- thank you so much, in admiration of your efficiency! x

• Comment number 49.

46 - Knave

• Comment number 50.

44: @I love the idea of people praying to Annie! Yes it seems that having faith in the item is what makes the difference. Does that mean we can hold the vamps off with our Being Human Boxsets!

• Comment number 51.

49 @ Knave Ewan.. thank you.

• Comment number 52.

@ Nikki, Thank you for transcribing. Need a drink? Or a seat on the blog sofa? lol.

• Comment number 53.

Phew - nurofens!

• Comment number 54.

Just repyling to some posts from last blog

@415 LizzyT - Lmao when you posted Otters Who Look Like Benedict Cumberbatch, I thought it read as Others Who Look Like Benedict Cumberbatch: imagine my surprise as I looked on that page & burst out laughing.

@419 Sarasalian - I'm unsure about the music - but I love Andrew's voice *fans self*

@423 Hodge - *squeel* thank you - Watching now :)

• Comment number 55.

@Nikki Good job, and soooo fast *is amazed* Oo I couldn't have transcribed it that fast, are you a Jedi or something? ;)

• Comment number 56.

@Nikki- or a spy? "You're a spy, aren't you?"

• Comment number 57.

Gosh, that's bleak. Really atmospheric writing, you really get a feel of how awful his world is.
But I am confused now: so Eve dying hasn't saved the world? And why are the vampires so desperate to keep Eve alive (Regus wanted her saved, Mr Snow seems to want her kept alive). Or is it because they already knew what the final bit of the parchment said? So many questions.

• Comment number 58.

56-@RealMitchell
*lol* yesssss, a spy! didn't think of that ;)

• Comment number 59.

55- Opositiv, Jedi she must be lol.

56- RealMitchell, who said that quote? Just curious.

• Comment number 60.

@57 timeandtide - I don't think it's saved the timeline she lives in, which is why she's meddling in the current BH timeline, to try stop it happening.....I think
*stops thinking as head is starting to explode*

• Comment number 61.

59-@Rob Jedis are scary...they got lightsabers and stuff ;) I don't trust Jedis as far as I could trow them...which admittedly wouldn't be more then an inch....

• Comment number 62.

what a sad, bleak future... let's hope it can be changed at least a little

• Comment number 63.

I've been thinking about the change in timeline. As well as what we've discussed on the blog so to clarify.

Hal - No longer blood crazed maniac intent on world domination - Yes we've got that but add to that.

Tom - Didn't kill the clubbers so, Not so much the cold suicidal wolf should still be in the fight able to wreak pointy vengeance on the vampires. Plus not hopefully not grabbed by police so free to do so.

Annie - Was hiding first thoughts were Run Away to cower but now with all these threats coming against Eve has her blue eyes on and is ready to fight.

So does Baby Eve need to die or has future Eve done enough to save herself?

• Comment number 64.

Bed. Dreamt about trying to get Hal to figure out twitter last night so need some sleep. His head exploded before I could get very far.
Think there will be alternative histories explained.
Wonder of Hal will meet his future self. That would be a lark.
Annie will have some crucial choices that will affect this diary and its writer.
Night all..

• Comment number 65.

61- But Opositiv, they're the good guys lol.

62- Gemstone I agree. But from what I understand, if one changes anything in the past, to try and change the future, then there's bad consequences in the future. Which if my initial assumption is correct, then FW's endeavor failed in changing anything. But I'm still curious as to which timeline this diary is for?

• Comment number 66.

Evening all. *Gulp* bit sobering this blog eh? So on a lighter note...

@LouLou (54): if only I'd paid attention when bloggers were explaining how to do bold text, I could have highlighted that it was otters. But I didn't so I couldn't...

Twitterati: ooh, I have some exciting new followers, thanks to @JJJJ and @BBD so cheers to all. I will follow back, but am slightly erratic on Twitter (as on the blog!). Won't give my twitter name here cos it is my full Clark Kent as someone else put it! But it's a Liz with a T....

Have just started watching Game of Thrones. Apart from wondering how the budget for the first 5 minutes compares to a whole series budget for BH, it was good to see Kemp in it (playing a much nicer character) and also a chap from S1 who was one of the unfortunate humans captured and fed off by Herrick's crew. He ended up appearing briefly to Annie as a ghost, prompting her rescue mission at the funeral parlour! BH has long tentacles...

• Comment number 67.

@60: LouLou: yes, of course, I find this time thing tricky at the best of times, but that makes sense...

• Comment number 68.

65-@Rob yeah, that'd what the whant us to believe...;)

hm...why does the blog keep on acting up aound this time every day this week?....

• Comment number 69.

Good evening everyone, after a long time lurking I thought I'd introduce myself. Leigh from the good ole U.S.here [curtsies] Just wanted to say I love BH (both versions) and the blog here. The PTB have done a very tremendous job of keeping us happy this series (thanks Rebecca) However it's the community here that I find most attractive. I used to belong to a Buffy community, the Bronze, we all became friends and even met up for parties with the cast crew, even met a few UKer's there. We had loads of fun debating and theorizing the workings of Joss's mind (just like LT), in fact it's still going strong even after 5 years of being off the air. This blog reminds of that and I'm sure you all, as well as this blog in some form, will continue no matter what happens, or when. I'm keeping fingers crossed for a series 5 and I agree with those who say that Annie will finish her arc and Alex will become a regular. I know there's no word yet, but what I've found re the ratings indicate they are down some, but still not too bad. Is that a fair assessment? Any indication of when we might know? Thanks for reading, and good evening to you all.

• Comment number 70.

68- Opositiv, yeah that's true lol, but I still like yoda. lol. The blog seems to be working for me. Right now anyway lol.

• Comment number 71.

Good evening everyone.

Late to the party tonight, bothersome RL getting in the way of the blog. Looks like I've a shiny new blog to catch up on. Off for a read.

• Comment number 72.

69- (Takes hat off and bows). Hi arcadia63, Or may I call you Leigh? You can call me Rob, I'm the the US too :).

• Comment number 73.

@LizzyT - I only worked it out the other day. & it doesn't let you try & explain it on here :(

@Time&tide - me too, I like thing that require no thinking :P

• Comment number 74.

I hope we get to meet the writer of this diary in Sunday's episode. It's beautifully written and very typical for BH, even in all the darkness they've added the terminator reference, which made at least me smile.

@54 LouLou22
I think I agree with you, the music is kind of ok, but not that special. But AG's voice is amazing!

• Comment number 75.

33@ 0positiv Re Vampires having to own houses. In true blood they follow this rule. There are some truly devious vampire in it!

• Comment number 76.

Thanks for the follows on Twitter my fellow blogger friends! x marieswords

• Comment number 77.

Evening bloggers, mods and Miss Rebecca.

What a sad diary entry. I like that they've thought of the food issue.

@LizzyT is this the first time you've watched Game of Thrones? Would be interested to hear what you think of it as you go on.

• Comment number 78.

Hello arcadia63 - welcome to the blog

• Comment number 79.

Welcome arcadia63. Pull up a sofa. Do you like mojitos?

• Comment number 80.

That is the bleakest thing I have read in a while. Its a shame Eve tried and still failed to save humanity. Or is that a continuation of her time without her sacrifice. Her whereabouts would have to be hidden, nobody could know if she were alive or dead.

I think Annie is key in this last episode. Somebody, not sure who, said earlier that they thought Eve would be adopted by another family and live in anonymity.

I am still disappointed that Eve is plain vanilla human. You would have thought given how much the vampires fear her that she would be special in some way. Or maybe its what people will do protect her that is important. The loyalty that she inspires in others. Ultimately what Annie will do with her suggested (after Kirby) powers in order to protect her. Dont mind me having a ramble.

Arcadia63 Wecome, pull up a chair.

• Comment number 81.

70-@Rob Ok, Yoda was funny, I'll give you that ^^ even though his grammar is appaling....(dark it is the other side...Yoda, shut up and eat your toast... is the joke that comes to mind XD)

75.@emma_e yes, true bloods what's been on my mind here, too. Eric buying Sookies house and all that.

• Comment number 82.

@Fiona (77): Game of Thrones - yeah, we don't have Sky but hubby just got it on BluRay. We've already watched 3 eps cos we're both at home ill today! I've read the first 2 books so know what's going to happen in the near future anyway, but it's still v good. Peter Dinklage rules (though it's v odd to see him with such blond hair!), it looks fantastic and most of the actors seem well cast - even the kids! Not sure about Catelyn Stark though. I also want a pet wolf.

• Comment number 83.

Lizzy the only way I can describe how to do bold is like this:
Enter your word here
Except don't use the [ ] symbols use the symbols arrow like symbols above , & . on your keyboard (> & It's twin) It won't let me type them together on here)

Hope this helps

• Comment number 84.

Vampires farming humans who farm cows. That is really nasty

• Comment number 85.

I don't think Eve is just human after all.

See ghosts - her ghost can travel through time - also arrange for others to use the door.

• Comment number 86.

84-@howlingblue But it would solve that question we've been discussing on the blog about the vampires killing off their food supply, wouldn't it?

• Comment number 87.

Sorry to take up valuable blog space but I'm just testing to see if I can write in bold

Did it work?

• Comment number 88.

@ some peeps above. Not a Jedi, not a spy, just a woman with 27 years typing experience! Oops, giving my age away now.

What a bleak future! It does seem peculiar that the vamps are changing things so much. From what we've seen of many of the top hierarchy vamps they seem to like decadence and elegance, not poverty and slums, and yet it does seem like the future world is very bleak, even for the vampires.

Also, welcome Leigh, if I may call you that. You're coming late to the party, but a party it still is nonetheless. Most of the partygoers are mojito and cupcake type people, but there are us maternal types who prefer a nice cup of tea and a biscuit ;)

Only two more days, and it's all over for this series :'(
Whatever shall I do without it? *rocks back and forth in the corner*

• Comment number 89.

Hi arcadia/Leigh! *Waves back from USA*

Having a really frustrating work day, probably because I was annoyed at work for interrupting my BH time! It's the last week of new BH, so much happening!

Super sad letter. Hope it belongs in an alternate future that gets averted. I think it's really cool that the BH team can indirectly respond to our continuity questions like this too, keeping the answers inside the story. I've said it before, but you guys rock so hard.

Leave it to Jamie Mathieson to slip that Terminator ref in there, nice going!

• Comment number 90.

@LouLou (83): I have to wait 180 seconds .... to say thanks for the tip! I will, of course have forgotten how to do this by the morning! :)
if in doubt it's otters not others!

• Comment number 91.

@87 Yay you did it - even if my post was rambling on a bit :D

@85 I'd rather Eve wasn't just a normal human too

• Comment number 92.

81- LOL Opositiv love that joke.

88- *goes over to Nikki in the corner and offers comfort*

• Comment number 93.

*curse you green box I shake my fist at you* bahh
@rob (65), I know *hangs head* I remember what happened in Back to the Future when Marty started meddling.

@LizzyT (66) Game of Thrones is a very good adaptation of the books, they have a huge budget and it shows... we've just finished the Blu-ray in our house due to lack of sky and even Mr Peacock_Gemstone liked it....

0positiv yes it would. I always thought of vampires as toying with thier food like cats with small rodents anyway.

See thats why Cutler is intresting he likes blood but doesnt like to kill it seems. The impression I always had was the kill was also something vampires craved that it would be difficult for them to live on just blood and that the baser instinct was to kill. That they also fed on the fear of their victim.

This is indeed a piece of grim reading. Everything that has been atempted to stop this from happening has failed.

26 - Thanks RM - *blushes* - and Damien, ooohhhh indeed :-D

I agree that Annie won't kill baby Eve - at very worst she'll take her through a door alive.

27 - Doesitsay, yes I have a moustache and it is a very fine moustache indeed -I had very good lighting in the pics so its not too easily seen.

@Nikki (92): very worried to see you rocking in the corner there. I'm a little concerned over what I'm going to do when the series finishes. I've only just done a complete rewatch of S1-3 so my husband will look at me very funny if I start again straight away. My back up plan has to be Buffy. A rewatch of that will keep me going for ages, and help remind me that BH is not the only great funny, touching drama about supernaturals i.e. the rest is not all Twi@*ite.

So, chin up!

@LizzyT and @Peacokc_Gemstone

I enjoyed it but my other half and I were a little confused by the need to have important plot points monologued in front of/behind explicit sexual scenes. I enjoyed the books too and wanted to read more but other half wouldn't let me 'cos then I'd know what happens before him!

Hi Leigh/arcadia,

@Nikki: I'm brewing some tea for 'us maternal types' ;) I make a da*n good cup of tea, because Annie taught me how. It's all in the pyramid teabags!
