Herrick has finally returned, but not as we know him.

After showing up in the psychiatric wing of the hospital, it's up to George, the man who once ripped him to shreds, to come up with a cover story. In true George form... he can't. Good job Nina was there too.

To see how it all pans out tune in to the next episode of Being Human this Sunday at 9pm on Ö÷²¥´óÐã Three.

  • Comment number 20.

omg people i found this comment from the first season just to make it clear not mine i just wanted to all to see it i think its great

so BH the musical? anyone with me? I have a song for the opening scene -

    Annie tumbled down the stairs
    In her grey casual wear.
On the tiles she cracked her head.
    Death was not enough, instead,
    A ghost for all eternity
    making toast and making tea.

(stage directions - lots of WW1 soldiers jump out from behind trees and dry ice and spontaneously break into dance)

    Mitchell fighting for his country
    Took a biting. Munchy crunchy,
Slurped Herrick as he turned him,
    But Mitchell spurned him
    "There may be no returning,
but I will deal with the yearning."

So he did for several years,
But the lure of blood was always near.
    Lauren was a minor glitch
Nothing more than a scratched itch
No wonder she starts out as such a bitch
Vampires & safe sex just don't mix.

The third of our motley crew,
Squealy and shy with high IQ
Attacked by wolf, but it gets worse,
Now he's infected with a curse.
    Bent double every full moon
As his internal organs shrivell like a prune.
    Be wary he's not deceased,
    He's mutated into hairy beast.

The pink house keeps them safe and snug
Annie forever to wonder in those Uggs
    Mitchell looking HOT in leather
Lucky for us and them they came together
and George if its any consolation
we appreciate your nakedness after transformation

  • Comment number 21.

    20 - Lol thats good.

  • Comment number 22.

GRT cant wait till sunday Herricks fakin it he knows exactly what hes doing

  • Comment number 23.

Ha ha!..welcome back Jason Watkins aka Herrick...he looks like he doesn't know where he is, who he is, ...or what he is.....mmmmm
So that's how George finds him....in the psychiatric wing of the Barry/Cardiff hospital (not quite sure why he wouldn't have been in Bristol hospital but will let that one go...!)..can't wait to see the scene when George first spots him again!

Sinead's acting just gets better and better.

We've also got the return of Cara, Herrick gets a nurse (Wendy) and still wondering who new character Bazzer is. Going to be another fab episode on Sunday ...loving series 3...the only thing that has jarred with me has been Mitchell's 'sex as a weapon' nonsense as I mentioned on previous blog....I also agree with Laurar that, as funny/bizarre as it was, the 'threesome' idea of Annie's was, even by Being Human standards, completely out of kilter with how she is. I do feel for Annie...in her overwhelming desire to 'be' with Mitchell I have a feeling she will end up suffocating him with her love.

Thanks BHProductions for a grear preview clip

  • Comment number 24.

    (23) Totally agree with you about A/M, Annie is gonna get her poor heart broken =(

  • Comment number 25.

    Hi there,

Rose Virgo, AllieMunster, yes, George closing the lift door and his expression - perfect.

Brilliant having Herrick back but wondering how he will behave.

Dorina, I'm guessing that someone arranged for Herrick to be wherever the awesome foursome had pitched up, or perhaps he engineered it himself.

  • Comment number 26.

    2 thoughts

    1. Sex as a weapon - We know that Mitchell is obsessing ever so slightly on the werewolf shaped bullet but what about what he said to Lia when she challenges him for flirting with her.
"I just wanted you to like me."
I think that is something he's just realised about himself is the fact he uses Sex and Charm to be liked, The time he was with Josie and also with Lucy they had seen him at his lowest the first time they had sex it was a weapon. A way to earn forgiveness for what he did.

    2. Another in-joke that no-one else seems to have noticed. Season 2 episode three George tells Hugh about Annie's notes and says "The handwriting is ju, is just awful"
Annie comments that she can't read her own handwriting.

Apologies if you've commented on the handwriting and I missed it

Now with Herrick back we shall soon see what was meant by not the Herrick we remember because I don't think he'll stay crazy forever when he gets his Mojo back then the full changes will be evident.

  • Comment number 27.

Can't wait for Herrick on Sunday. Although I can't believe he's going to be any less evil than he was before. Yes I also have a bit of an issue with the "sex as a weapon" thing because where does that leave Mitchell's feelings for Josie - she really was his lifeline at the time. Maybe Lord Toby can enlighten us at a later date.

  • Comment number 28.

26 ewan (if i haven't said..thanks for youtube link) great observation regarding Annie's handwriting...but in the episode with Hugh wasn't George just saying that since Annie was right there telling him what to say? He didn't actually have a note from her. He was just trying to sound as nuts as she was making him sound.

I think your point 1 is spot on as well. He is still making realisations about himself and the "sex as a weapon" thing may be one.

He really needs to stop obsessing about the whole WSB thing. but honestly if it were me I too would be a wee bit obsessed too.

In the last blog I asked about CenSSA...I've since learned what it is but I can't view any of the youtube vids...why not?

  • Comment number 29.

Does anyone remember what Herrick said at the end of series 1? It was something along the lines of
"I will let you change and let you kill me because even after this I WON!"
It was something like that. Maybe this is how he won, even after being killed he is still here?

  • Comment number 30.

29 - "I am the beginning there will be more after me, in a year a decade from now this land is ours and we have all the time in the world." is that the quote you wanted?

  • Comment number 31.

Or "I thought I would lead, turns out I was just the key"

  • Comment number 32.

Can't wait to see Herrick again. I love Jason Watkins. I'm sure Herrick will be evil again when/if he remembers who he is....and he's definitely going to have the bloodlust isn't he. Looking forward to seeing Cara too....

    Not long until Sunday now!

  • Comment number 33.

Hmmm what quote could i add?
"You cant come back from this once uve given that part of you can never get it back"

  • Comment number 34.

Evening all, last weeks episode was amazing, I actually didn't breathe the whole hour it was on.
Herrick! I can't wait for this episode, it looks hilarios, I love Nina and George in their comedy moments and there looks to be a lot this episode.

  • Comment number 35.

The end of the episode preview looks good.

  • Comment number 36.

    33 - I thought you'd have gone for
"This doesn't rob me of my humanity, it proves it"
    or
"Why aren't you scared" "As I walked here tonight I looked out over their city and I was humbled, I saw my place in all this, where I fitted in the ancient machine"

  • Comment number 37.

Just watched the clip again.....brilliant acting from Sinead, Russell & Jason.

  • Comment number 38.

Why would McNair tell Mitchell he can’t even outlive him, it really bugs me
Lea flirted with Mitchell first to the point of being almost inappropriate when they first met, why

She also planted the seeds of a potential relationship between A&M, why

Have they identified his weakness as women and his obsession to change for them by denying himself blood. Whenever he gets hurt he strikes out in the only way he knows how by killing... lucy’s betrayal had major consequences

Are they banking on this? McNair’s attitude towards women is so gallant that I do wonder if this is a case of good vs bad and will A&M’s relationship fall out (because this is inevitable) be the catalyst to something unimaginable

We have left purgatory..... WELCOME BACK HERRICK!!!!

  • Comment number 39.

I think people are getting fixated on this outlived thing in terms of having a longer life than Mitchell, which he won't, if Mitchell is 117. The other meaning is to carry on living past someone. e.g. if a man dies at 88 when his wife is 85, we would still say "she outlived her husband" even if she died at 86. So McNair is just saying that Mitchell will die before him, regardless of their relative ages at the time.

IMO Lia flirted with Mitchell because all the way through the doors she was sowing the seeds of that mahoosive breakdown at the end. Building it up to make him recognise his patterns of behaviour and make him admit to himself that he's bad, even though he had convinced himself that he was at least partly redeeming himself by his other actions.

  • Comment number 40.

    8 - Yes. Yes I do. Rather a lot.

In other news, more people should clearly 'like' this page. Spread the love, bloggers xx

  • Comment number 41.

    We want Bloopers

  • Comment number 42.

"They are the monsters, i just cnt belive its taken me this long to work it out"

  • Comment number 43.

I love Jason Watkins...he is such an excellent actor. His portrayal of Herrick is something I've been waiting for since we knew he was coming back in S3. Want to see what happens to him on Sunday and thereafter. Does he remember who he is and what Mitchell allowed to have happen to him, i.e. killed by George, and take revenge or try to, or will he just remember part of who he is/what he was and live the rest of his life in an institution? Will he end up with the pervy vampire woman in the posh house now that her hubby is dead? Or something else? The possibilities are endless.

George and Nina...why would they be saving Herrick? He was out to destroy them. Surely they'd be concerned lest he remembered who they are and really went off his onion. Or should that be garlic?

Any old how, it's going to be a belter on Sunday night...and the following Sunday...and the one after that...and finally the finale. It's flown past, as all good things do.

    Thanks BH Prod!xx

  • Comment number 44.

They seem to take anyone in who might be a threat to the puplic,

    Adam
    Sasha
    Herrick

  • Comment number 45.

43 - They could be taking him out of the hospital to keep people safe, if he went on the rampage there not a good thing. If anything happens to him when he gets to the house?

  • Comment number 46.

I interpreted McNair's comment to Mitchell 'you can't outlive me' as referring to the WSB prophecy. It's Mitchell with the target on his back so to speak, not McNair.

    Sunday..why isn't it Sunday yet?

  • Comment number 47.

43 - Thats basically what i just sed.

  • Comment number 48.

Herrick looks a bit like Beaker from the Muppets with that expression! Absolutely cracked me up! :D

    Thanks BHProd! :)

  • Comment number 49.

Three days to go before we find out anyway

  • Comment number 50.

Still dont quite get why they take herrick in? Dinner? To (re) murder him in private? to use him as their house pet? Could someone please explain or alternatively contirbute their own theories.
By the way- everyone is saying wow how will mitchell react when he sees herrick- perhaps he would see herrick as a useful weapon against the WSB somehow? Random train of thought there. Sorry I got sidetracked imagining herrick at one of emma's dinner parties !!!!!!

  • Comment number 51.

To stop him blowing their cover? If he's ranting randomly and sees them he might come up with something someone might be interested in, especially if Mitchell happens to wander in with his bucket.

  • Comment number 52.

It just seems too much of a coincidence him turning up in Barry to start with. Its another TWIST !!

  • Comment number 53.

I think he's not at all as fruit loop as he appears- is it a device to get across the threshold?

  • Comment number 54.

Was it just my imagination, or in that final shot of series 2, did Herrick look a little hairy? Can Vampires be turned into Werewolves? Do we have another contender for the "Wolf Shaped Bullet"?

  • Comment number 55.

just been watching the hobbit press conference on youtube..aidan looks a bit lost and hardly says a word bless him!

  • Comment number 56.

Yes, I thought he looked a little out of his depth. Jimmy Nesbitt carried that press conference almost single handedly!

Spooky - have Marchlands on and they are using that Jefferson Airplane track that's used in the Josie episode. I looked up expecting to see Aidan!

  • Comment number 57.

yes I thought that too cos I watched the press conference and thought- poor aidan, he needs his BH besties around him. Where was his mojo, then? Does this mean that fantasy has crossed over into reality and aidan was checking around for the WSB? He really didnt look very confident. Lots of arm rubbing, face touching and looking down. Shy, almost. Bless!

  • Comment number 58.

the bloke sat next to him spoke loads and was really annoying!strange to see him so quiet. guess small fish big pond..where as here he is used to being the star

  • Comment number 59.

43:"in that final shot of series 2, did Herrick look a little hairy? "

I'm quite hairy too, but I'm not a werewolf. As far as I know. I do wonder if he would have been infected by the werewolf attack though, but I think not, having died, as a result.

I actually hope that he doesn't become all evil again once/if he gets his marbles back. Even when in his evil moments last series he wasn't an entirely 1 dimensional villain. I wouldn't be surprised if a taste of the other side has broadened his perspective somewhat. That would be an interesting route to take, as REVENGE OF THE VILLAIN is a over-trodden path in fiction.

26: "I think that is something he's just realised about himself is the fact he uses Sex and Charm to be liked, The time he was with Josie and also with Lucy they had seen him at his lowest the first time they had sex it was a weapon. A way to earn forgiveness for what he did."

Good point Ewan. 'Sex as a weapon' needn't automatically mean 'a way to gain some food'. Even when he doesn't get toothy, his reasoning for the seduction could be selfish. A way of leeching without physical blood.

  • Comment number 60.

I could be wrong but it looks to me like Herrik hasn't fed properly for some time so maybe that could be affexting him aswell as being brought back by 2 mad women! I am loving this series, so much intrigue and just when you think you've got an answer the writers throw something else at you. Can't wait till Sunday so we can all shout WELCOME BACK HERRIK!

  • Comment number 61.

57RealMitchell! We think so alike..poor lamb looks lost without Russell and Lea. Or maybe the facial hair took his interviewing skills...lol

  • Comment number 62.

this waiting for the wolf shaped bullet thing is so agonizing...i just wish i knew what it was already so i can go protect mitchell haha, hv u guys wondered, if herrick wasn't killed off earlier, that he could hv made sure they covered mitchell for commiting that massacre?? as how they hv covered whatever other murders vampires commit??

  • Comment number 63.

another question i hv is, if annie finds out mitchell is the one who killed all those ppl, do u think she will forgive him?? i really hope she does....

  • Comment number 64.

Hello Everyone, I'm from the USA but love this show so much as all of you in these blogs. Wanted to share my thoughts about Aidan @ the Hobbit press conference, I think there were so many dwarves(actors) that it was impossible for all of them to talk, and you have to remember this is Aidan's first major film he still needs to get used to the big budget movies spotlight like that. But it's better like that humble and shy at the same time, love him the other guy next to him really was annoying. He will achieve so many great things after this. GB him!

  • Comment number 65.

    cjewel74 (64)

Perhaps he felt "dwarved" by the stars around him?

See what I did there :-)

Ok, ok, I'll go back to the naughty corner.

  • Comment number 66.

61 YummyYumMum- Hi! What are you doing for the next 6 months? I think we should fly over there to NZ ( as the advance party, you understand!) to look after our poor lost vampire....... Its only for the greater good/evil we do this, fellow bloggers and our airline ticket fund is ......... !
Re: facial hair---- I have to see past this BIG turn off to the loveliness within. I did liken Aidan with the chops to a character called PUDDLEGLUM, a marshwiggle main character from THE SILVER CHAIR, one of the Chronicles of Narnia. I have to convince myself he's only growing it for the character he will portray in The Hobbit...... (sighs and packs suitcase)

  • Comment number 67.

65-deathrattle- I like your humour! Can I share your naughty corner? I think he was holding back at the press conference so that when he unleashes the power that is Aidan, he will dazzle and amaze them all !

  • Comment number 68.

64-cjewel174- Welcome to our world!!!! Its great that we all share in the best interests of our fantastic 4 by looking out for their emotional and social wellbeing. Maybe Aidan should've taken his teddy or comfprt blanket. I know that helped when i first went to 'Big Camp' ?

  • Comment number 69.

66- still packing..... bikini, fangs, autograph book, fingerless gloves....

  • Comment number 70.

66- electric razor.... portrait painter (pointless taking my digital camera cos he wont show up)......

  • Comment number 73.

Ah Friday becoming human preview clip day.

  • Comment number 74.

Jason Gardner's finest acting since Duck Patrol :-)

  • Comment number 75.

Brilliant clip! So excited about new episode on Sunday!
BTW I saw on Sinead's twitter that someone said they'd like to see her and Russell as Brad and Janet in the Rocky Horror show.... then thinking Aidan as Dr Frank-N-Furter, ..... Lenora as Magenta.....Jason as Riff Raff

This has kept me amused for days.....think I need to get out more...

  • Comment number 76.

You know RealMitchell...you've convinced me. I'm coming with you! Well me and the kids and fella. If Jimmy Nesbitt can take his clan I can too. lol The weather sounds great and it its for the greater good/evil. BHP would want us to look after him.

The facial hair MUST be for the role. I'm certain of it (for my sanity's sake) I see Richard Armitage who plays his uncle (great casting btw) is also sporting the facial hair. So I will also be packing an electric razor.

I think this should win us some sort of Nobel Prize...Nobel Prize for being noble!

  • Comment number 77.

Fab clip! Of course, there's no such thing as coincidence as far as Herrick turning up in the hospital is concerned. I wonder if he's connected to Richard's "retribution coming from overseas"? After all, Richard traced Mitchell to the hospital, so Herrick would know exactly where to turn up if they were in contact. Richard and Emma were far too smug last week for my liking, even to the end! Roll on Sunday!!!

  • Comment number 78.

Oh thoughts on the flash back

it will have to involve Herrick but the question is this.

    will it be
option one - Herrick and Mitchell 'back in the day'
option two - Herrick telling Cara about resurrecting dismembered vampires
option three - Herrick and Cara after Daisy had left
    or
    none of the above?

  • Comment number 79.

Ohhh, this is fabulous! Honestly the comedy moments with Nina and George are some of my fave parts of BH. Add in a bewildered looking Herrick and we have struck gold! xD

2 more days to wait *flails*

  • Comment number 80.

    20- Brilliant song! Amazing!

Love the video Georges face is so funny! Cant wait for sunday!!

  • Comment number 81.

lol.trust these two to give us laughs...I really think Senead and Russell compliment each other perfectly!!

Ok back to the clip...lol..too funny that look on Herricks face..Uncle Billy I bet he loves that!!! Oh dear what is in store for us all now.laughs, thrills and spills alllllll the way!!

    woohoooo

    XXXXX

  • Comment number 82.

61&66. pretty sure the facial hair is for the role..and dont think they have decided yet what the characters are going to look like..so hopefully he will lose the beard - must admit wouldnt have looked twice if didnt know that mitchell was under that hair somewhere.
tell you one thing if his loveliness does shine through this role he is going to be massive star.. and millions of women all over the world will take notice.

loving this blogging..its great to be able to talk being human without boring the hell out of my husband and friends!

  • Comment number 83.

Need a BH chatroom, then we could all enthuse properly at each other!

  • Comment number 84.

just under 2 days till the return of Herrick

  • Comment number 85.

Loving the clip and can't wait for Jason's / Herrick's return. Jason is such a good actor, he just owns the role...

I'm not going to speculate as to why he's in Barry - my speculations are so often wrong that this time I'm just going to let BH take me on their ride.

Also, with regard to the 'sex as a weapon' thing, Mitchell says "when I get like this", so I wondered if he used sex as a weapon when the vampire in him took over. When he's more human, such as when he's in love (Josie, for example), he is able to curb the animal inside him and then sex becomes more intimate. This might also explain his desperate plea to Lucy that he needed someone to change for. He needs humanity around him, and that to me fits nicely with his character and his relationship with the others in the house.

My other thought was that Annie taking him to a bar to pick up a woman for sex would be pretty much what the old Mitchell would have done when he was out 'hunting'. Perhaps this was what happened with Sally back in Glasgow. That scenario may have reawakened old patterns of behaviour and led him to drop his guard, resulting in the vampire becoming dominant. He was quite repelled by it afterwards, as he was with Lauren.

Am off to view the YouTube Hobbit interview.....and that beard!

    xx

  • Comment number 86.

totally agree whitehare or could organise BH parties or do people already do that?

  • Comment number 87.

Glad my observations on the lovely Aidan have caused so much discussion! The thought of a BH dedicated chatroom/virtual Party would really gladden my heart! So happy I can blog to equally Intrersted folk. I'll just put the party rings on a plate now!

  • Comment number 96.

@77 Annies_Nanny Richard also said that Cara had told him where to find Mitchell so of course she would tell Herrik too, evil little so and so that she is!

  • Comment number 97.

Afternoon all. Re Aidan at the Hobbit press conference, to me he's always seemed to have low self-confidence when having to 'perform' as himself. In the early vid clips with Russell and Lenora that appeared on the blog during Series 1 he always left most of the talking to them. They were great at the adlibs but he'd usually just occasionally repeat something that had already been said or say 'I was just about to say that'. He was usually eating as well - a prop, I think, and/or a replacement for a ciggie. That vunerability is partly what I love about him.
He probably is missing his BH friends. We can all see how comfortable he is with them now. Maybe we could all send him a virtual group hug - might work if he can pick up the vibes.

Just passing, thought I'd let anyone Know there is a close up of the attic pic with just Mitchell (one 4 the Ladies!) and the fire place: the Books seem to be guide books of main cities/counties (Mitchels vamp guide of "where to flee to next perhaps" and the Picture seem to show an olde hunting Scene - any one got any theories on that?

Love the Silent Herrick - Can anyone see the join where george tore his head off?- cantr believe G & N will take him in at supernatural hotel after his previous record!(Apparently even Annie is disgusted by his evilness),
    - could he have been planted by the olde Ones to start Mitchels retributon?

Rewatched Daisy and Ivans Prequel: funny seeing Daisy curtseying to Hetty like royalty ("I'm 317 and still got me own fangs" lol).
    - will we see Crazy Daisy return?
