    First one? :)

  • Comment number 2.

    Yay! first!

  • Comment number 3.

    no scrolls yet....

  • Comment number 4.

    YAY!!! :)

  • Comment number 5.

    @Rebecca

    Questions for Damien!!:)

    -Your potrayal of Hal is very believable, where do you get your inspiration from/how do you get yourself into character?

    -What is your favourite part about the character of Hal?

  • Comment number 6.

    Hello - I'm back & just in time for a shiny new blog yay!

    Has Rebecca asked for questions to Damien yet?
    I'll have to go & re-read the last one blog to see what I've missed :D
    *disappears under a mound of comments*

  • Comment number 7.

    Ooh dear, Alex doesn't look very happy in that pic, does she?

  • Comment number 8.

    Alex looks a little scared has she seen something?

  • Comment number 9.

    Goodness me!! The blog is on fire tonight!! :D

  • Comment number 10.

    Why does this keep happening?!? :'(

  • Comment number 11.

    No bite marks on her neck yet, s'all good

  • Comment number 12.

    So is this the blog where we're supposed to post the questions or will there be another one? Feel a little self-conscious about mine but still want to ask them.

  • Comment number 13.

    Police van in the background - not good for someone, but Alex is still alive (even if looking unhappy)!

  • Comment number 14.

    Weee here we go under two excruciating hours left. Squee. *Does a happy dance*

    @Damien . Love the character of Hal. Please what do you think he does under the influence of Kia Ora?

  • Comment number 15.

    @Rebecca

    Hal has been portrayed as particularly sadistic and cruel, compared to other vampires we've seen. Do you think this was inherent deep down in Hal even as a human or is it a result of his "curse"?

  • Comment number 16.

    @Rebecca

    Questions for Damien:

    Hal's had some costume changes over the course of the series is there a

    sense in which he's trying to adapt and create a new persona for his

    new situation, or is it the Wardrobe department trying to work out what

    suits you? :o)

    Is it more difficult sustaining Hal's English accent, when you are

    surrounded by so many Welsh cast and crew?

  • Comment number 17.

    Um... Hello! That's a good enough entrance isn't it? A 'Hello!'?
    Anyways... I'm one of those lurkers standing in the doorway. Look! *gestures to the doorway, with lurkers standing in it*
    Anywho... Um, how are you all? The Q&A session is gonna be pretty brutal... Last week's was. I have been lurking since episode two but decided to enter le room due to the fact you all seem Nice.
    So, Alex doesn't seem to be a threat to me. Or am I too trusting?

  • Comment number 18.

    So I guess, it's question collecting time, yeah. :)

    @RebeccaDenton:

    Here's my question for Damien:

    Was is difficult for you to get into Hal’s OCD mindset and how do you imagine did Hal manage his earlier dry 'circles' before he had his routines?

  • Comment number 19.

    @Rebecca my questions for @DamienMolony

    -What episode did you like filming the most?
    -Have you had any wierd experiences with fans? (well apart from now ;D)
    -What is your favourite quote of this series? (mines:'I had a shield...a red one')

    I have got another one, but i will ask it during the Q&A as it may not be relevant (depends how the ep goes)

  • Comment number 20.

    I'll try again on this blog!

    @DamienMolony

    If you were offered eternal life (bloodlust notwithstanding) would you choose to take it and stay young and beautiful, and if so, who would you choose to be your companion for eternity?

    Thank you, Nikki x

  • Comment number 21.

    I've been out with my Mum and only just got in and since there's way too many comments to catch up on...when can we post questions?

  • Comment number 22.

    re that WW/ghost discussion on the earlier blog:
    What exactly is the difference between ghost/disembodied spirit/soul?
    What's a soul anyway? Your personality?

    And sombody (sorry don't remember who) said on the earlier blog that vampires don't show up in mirrors because they have no souls...but what are you without a soul if your soul is practically your personallity? Wouldn't that just leave a zombie if you take the soul away?

  • Comment number 23.

    yayy new blog, and spoiler argument free! i agree, alex really doesent look happy, is this prehaps the scene where she discovers what hal is?

  • Comment number 24.

    OOOOOOO excited!!! First time I've been around for a Q&A! Be gentle with me people! Do we post questions yet or later??? *ashamed noob face*

  • Comment number 25.

    Burned arm: I've always thought Hal's burned arm was a big fat herring. A red one.
    It would just be too obvious, plus the scrolls said man not vamp with said burned arm. So, looking around for an actual human in the programme, all I can think of is....Alex - a woman with a burned arm, anyone?

  • Comment number 26.

    @damienmolony if you could've played any other part, from any BH series who would it have been and why? Curious to know if you would choose another 'type'

  • Comment number 27.

    Police van in the background as well, Has Alex seen something that puts her life in danger or something else? Now is the building she's in have anything to do with the police van?

  • Comment number 28.

    15 Catorina. Really like that question

  • Comment number 29.

    My question for @DamienMolony:

    'Do you enjoy working with the fangs? Is it quite easy to talk with them in, or did you have to wear them for a while first to get used to them?'

    Many thanks again to Mistress Rebecca for doing this for us! :)

  • Comment number 30.

    @ok now this picture has already appeared on other websites since a few days
    as it is now on the blog
    this is canon and may be officially discussed without flagging

    first thing Alex in a blue light, ethereal ghostly
    three cupcakes she is now a ghost but as she is not -apparently- with the lovely silver dress she wears on her date with Hal possibly it goes all wrong at their third meeting
    and the police van is quite sad...

  • Comment number 31.

    @Rebecca

    Questions for Damien!!:) Please askk :))

    -How did you get into Acting?

    -What is the funniest moment you have had so far whilst filming?

  • Comment number 32.

    @LizzyT. I always thought that Hals burnt arm was a red herring! I've been talking to my mum about this, I think that there is someone else who has got a burnt arm.
    But what does a burnt arm consist of? Many people burn their arms while getting something out of the oven. So is it a burn like that, which could be very small or could it be more of a chemical burn just like Hals.
    If there is someone with another burn I think it will either be, FW, Mr Snow or Annie.

  • Comment number 33.

    Hello again everyone!
    I'm so excited for tonight!

    However, I'm sure the withdrawal symptoms will set in soon, I can't believe it's almost the end. This series have been fantastic and I have really taken to the new characters despite thinking I would not.

    Praying for a series 5!

    Anyway, Damien is on the blog tonight, very very very excited.

    @DamienMolony

    What was the funniest thing that happened on set? Has someone ever pulled a prank or joke on someone else?

  • Comment number 34.

    @Saint: ooh good point, she could be a ghost, didn't think of that. Though I think the blue light may be more from the flashing sirens!

  • Comment number 35.

    @Rebecca

    Questions for Damien:

    1) What is your favourite quote from the series so far? (I asked this to Michael Socha and he said "I had a shield! A red one!" which is one of my favourites too)

    2) What did you think of your mustache in episode 3? $:-{[

  • Comment number 36.

    Hmm wondering why my last post came out so 'spacey', maybe cos I cut and pasted it? Weird. Sorry by the way.

  • Comment number 37.

    @DamienMolony

    Whats the hardest scene you have had to film so far? And why?

  • Comment number 38.

    Wooo live blog! Let the madness begin...

    Wish I had a question, all I have is the The Fear of asking one haha. I am a big fail at this! Will be here watching from the sidelines.

    @SAINTIXE56 and @Manc please see my comment on previous blog, not bringing it over here :)

  • Comment number 39.

    30-@SAINTIXE56 She could be a ghost, very recently deceased, and she's looking shocked/sad becaus she's watching them take away her body?

  • Comment number 40.

    oooh good question @22. Zombie vs Vamp souls... Maybe a vamp has more of an impure soul, tainted so to speak and that's why they can't have a reflection. verses the zombie which doesn't have a soul intact at all.

  • Comment number 41.

    @damienmolony I know you're touring with Travelling Light now - how does that stack up against TV work? Which is your favourite thing to do? I'd also like to say WOW! You have been spectacular!

  • Comment number 42.

    Hello

    @rebeccadenton, question for Damien if I may,

    @damienmalony You seem a bit of a "foodie" and like to cook so what is your favourite food to cook and why.

    Thanks!

    Sez

  • Comment number 43.

    @lozzie (32): you're right, in fact I think I may be the nemesis cos I'm always burning my arm/wrist/hand on the oven! Think I was hit with the clumsy stick when younger!

    Of course, Tom's been mucking about with muriatic acid - a good source of chemical burns and/or explosions?

  • Comment number 44.

    @Rebecca my question for Damien is

    We've seen Hal singing two soul classics now (a bit weird, I'm guessing Leo's influence!) but what kind of music do you like to listen to?

    You must be amazed at how well the character has been received! Fingers crossed for S5 :)

  • Comment number 45.

    @Rebecca
    Question for Damien

    @damienmolony
    There was a lot of love for the 1855 flashback! If you could film a scene from any time in history what time/period would you choose and why?

    *crosses everything*
    (though not in a religious way, that would be painful!;D)

  • Comment number 46.

    Hey everyone, just started on the board, didnt realize this many people besides me love this show. Looking forward to the discussion after the ep. Im in america so if anyone wants to chat about the show, i know im not damien Molony(SORRY LADIES) but i have to say that woman who plays alex is just stunningly beautiful(always loved british shows and women). Anyways, im just hoping the series gets picked up for series 5. Sadly, if it does we still have to wait a year. Talk to you guys later.

  • Comment number 47.

    In case it got engulfed in the mountain of blog posts....
    °ª¶Ù²¹³¾¾±±ð²Ô-

    How much does your live theatre work experience feed back into how you portray Hal in terms of body language, nuance, dialogue?

    :) @Miss Rebecca x

  • Comment number 48.

    @opositiv

    dear old chum
    was missing you

    ok my theory

    ghosts: almost like princess leia hologram always repeating very same thing
    like those ghosts who seem to always do the very same thing in castles

    ---- the grey lady who is supposed to be katherine howard is always seem praying every februray etc

    but spirits like annie do not repeat things they are poltergeistic and free to roam
    a free spirit

    souls
    vampires have souls, but unlike ours, free and unsold theirs are bound to their master, maker, devil
    hence their souls cant appear because theirs are retained prisoner, in custody by the devil
    when a vampire dies as proper dead, their body is just dust, burnt out and their soul is claimed back by the devil

    sort of suggesting a season 5 where something should be done about those prisoners

  • Comment number 49.

    oooh good point about the ghostlyness... some more people with unfinished buisness? That could be something to do with eve??

  • Comment number 50.

    @DamienMolony/@Rebecca

    A selection of questions for you to choose from :)

    1. What do you think to Honolulu Height's Decor?
    2. How different did you find acting in front of a camera to acting on stage?
    3. Congratulations on a brilliant english accent, & i didn't even realiase you were irish until I heard you speaking in an interview - do you find accents come easily to you - or is it something you have to work on?
    4. If you could play any other character in this series - who & why?

    (I know a few people have asked about number 3 - but I think we're all intrigued)

  • Comment number 51.

    22) Think it was me who posted about the soul :)
    - Definition of a soul: Soul refers to the theoretical entity that exists inside, but is separate from your body and mind. The soul is said to exist after the body in which it resides has expired.

    it's not part of your mind, so therefore you could still have a personality, but a soul is what is left after you die (like a spirit, which would be needed to go to heaven/hell- whatever) and if you don't have one, you wouldn't be able to go to heaven or hell, which would explain why vampires just die and nothing happens in BH world. And mirrors are supposed to reflect your soul, so if you don't have one then you won't be seen in a mirror. It kind of works that you'd still be seen in a window because its only mirrors that supposedly reflect your soul :)

  • Comment number 52.

    @damienmolony Some of the scenes with Hal can be really intense...particularly the scene with the shopkeeper where Hal talks about killing. I couldn't focus on anything else at that point and in a way it was as if Hal was the only one there. Was totally engrossed!! How do you bring that across on screen and do you have any of your own 'routines' to help get you into character?

  • Comment number 53.

    40-@Jae So what would make their souls impure? Simply being a vampire? Seems kinda unfair...killing? Humans kill, and they still get to see themselves in a mirror...
    In the early years of photography (daguerotyping and such) weren't people afraid back then that the photograph would steal their soul? I think that's where the reflection-soul-association comes from.

  • Comment number 54.

    25 @LizzyT With you on that one! I'm certain the nemesis is a human, she is the only one around at the moment!

  • Comment number 55.

    HI Everyone! No more questions until after 10 please... I can't keep up. I've taken as many as I can but we need to do the rest live. xxx

  • Comment number 56.

    @ewan - hi! interesting theory about Tom hurting Eve. We have seen Annie kill a human now, so perhaps it is Tom's turn to be inhuman - his worst fear, killing another human???

  • Comment number 57.

    Sorry for repeated question but I'm a bit confused about the timing of the early bird Q's and I think I've posted it too early before!

    @Rebecca / @damienmolony

    I read somewhere you're a bit of a film geek, er film buff, so what's your favourite ever onscreen portrayal of a vampire? (outside of Being Human of course)

  • Comment number 58.

    @632 from previous blog

    Nic, don't you dare be silent - you jump right in with the rest of us. If you've put something up, felt bad and apologised that SHOULD be the end of it. Your post has probably clashed with someone elses when the apology went up. Just think about how fast the blog is moving. I've started typing this and by the time I post it, there will be another 20 up before me. Don't feel bad, don't you feel bad at all. You get right back in here and let me know you're ok. would you do that for me. I don't want people to disappear because of misunderstandings - believe me I've been there, done that and I'm still here.

    Ok - say hello to your Aunti Sasha (never used that one before!) :-D

  • Comment number 59.

    Ohhh - the tension is palpable. The arrival of the OO and the Hutler Experience!!
    Bring it on. Now.

  • Comment number 60.

    @nic going to previous blog, did you read my post???

  • Comment number 61.

    ok here I go popping my Q&A cherry
    @DamienMolony
    Who would you consider your major acting influences?
    What event in History would you love to show Hal in?

    phew...that wasn't so hard :D
    Really excited for tonight!

  • Comment number 62.

    ut01_05 Welcome to the blog! Help yourself to a moijito and theres some cupcakes and party rings on the side.

    @LizzyT. Ive got tons of burns on my wrists from using the oven. And ive got a set of scratches that make me look as if ive been attacked by a ww (my cat attacked me!)

    About Tom and his muriatic acid, oil bombs and his swimming pool. Do you think we'll find out about what he's planning on doing, tonight or do you think its going to part of ep 8?

  • Comment number 63.

    56 - I said Alex not Eve,

  • Comment number 64.

    55 - Aw Rebecca - I'm waiting on a bottle of Bollinger from BBD (he seems to have done a bit of a disappearing act) but when I get it - you can have the first glass. You are doing a fantastic job! Thanks!

  • Comment number 65.

    .17 like @EdwardSilver I wanted to say hi. I've been lurking at the Blog door - for over a year, but by the time I've read everyone else's messages, I've usually run out of things to say myself. Looking forward to the Q & A tonight. I think it's going to be a good one. Looking forward to reading the answers to all your questions tonight.

  • Comment number 66.

    @lozzie (62): I still really hope Tom genuinely just wants to build a swimming pool. Ah bless - who's more naive, him or me?

  • Comment number 67.

    thanks rebecca- you've worked so hard for us! x

  • Comment number 68.

    51:@halftw: I was once told that the evidence of a soul, is a conscience. SO wouldn't the fact that some vamps feel remorse, indicate that for BeingHuman vamps there is some vestige of a soul left?

    Having said that Hal says in his prequel that he was given eternal life 'in exchange for what little God had left me of my soul' but maybe that was figurative language? Do the vamps themsleves know how they really came about?
    These scrolls survive, but the two brothers who made them can't be around anymore because otherwise they could just tell everyone what they dreamed! :P
    Just musing while we wait ;)

  • Comment number 69.

    @Opos I remember this. My grams used to say that's why ppl never smiled in older photos! Thanks for reminding me. :)

    @ut01_05 State side here too!

    If anyone would like to follow me on twitter--- @simply__sinful I love new followers!

  • Comment number 70.

    @rebeccadenton Hi! *waves* Do you know if there'll be an opportunity for pictures/chance to meet Damien at Leeds theatre? Going to see Travelling Light on Saturday and would be honoured to meet such a fantastic actor!!

  • Comment number 71.

    From previous blog

    Good Evening Bloggers, Mods and Rebecca!

    @625, Manc, you talking to me? Lol, have a seat on your rocking chair, here's a large mojito!

    Sash, there's a large bottle of Bollinger chilling for you in the ice bucket, I've taken the liberty of pouring you one!

    Wecome back to the madness ewan!

    We're getting closer people, lets enjoy the blog up until 9 then enjoy what's likely to be one of the best episodes of BH so far in the series.

    No spoilers please everyone, you don't want to see the BAD side of BBD!

    Rebecca, good luck for tonight!

  • Comment number 72.

    mmm Kia Ora mojito! A unique experience. Thank you *aettles down on comfy blog sofa next to @sunny and @aquamarine_jo . Vodka jelly? Don't mind if I do. Got the munchies.... Did bring a bit of haggis, a poke ae edinburgh rock and a bottle of Scotland's Finest, to drink (Irn Bru and the Other Stuff) Dig In!

  • Comment number 73.

    Hello GeordieCarrot, missed your earlier post. Welcome to the blog :) *shuffles up to make space on the sofa*

  • Comment number 74.

    XD aaaah....can't keep up with the blog tonight....

    48-@SAINTIXE56 ok, so ghosts would have no conciousness, then? They'd be just "recordings" of people left behind in times of great emotional stress/trauma/whatnot...spirits actualy can interact with the world around them, they are what is left over when the body dies.
    But Is a spirit a soul then? Or part of a soul?

    51-@halftw Ok, so you're saying your soul is a completely different entity from your concious mind? Is it like your back-up drive for personality then? When death wipes your harddrive the soul remains, like a copy?

  • Comment number 75.

    @Rebecca - lol poor love. Just remember, I offered my services earlier in the week ... A problem shared and all that ;)

    Best of luck for later, and thanks very much xx

    N x

  • Comment number 76.

    i was wondering how come when a vampire gets staked the ghost/soul doesnt get a door and go to hell? or if its been a good vamp and stayed clean and repented his sins could he not go through a heaven/good door?

  • Comment number 77.

    @Rebecca - yes, I second @eloiseyx's thanks - bet it's absolutely manic for you. Here's a nice glass of Kia-Ora and some pro plus to keep you going.

  • Comment number 78.

    @DamienMolony, actors sometimes say that they kept some of their costumes from a show, so are you now to be seen around, cutting a dash in some of those sharp suits?

    Very much enjoying watching Series 4 and Hal, and the wonky dynamic with Tom, and hoping for a Series 5.

  • Comment number 79.

    an hour and twenty mins.... to long!!

  • Comment number 80.

    @LizzyT (66) me to! But many bloggers were wondering if he was planning on using them against the OOs. I really hope he doesn't.

    Rebecca. Thank you for doing this!! I was just wondering, when does the next part of the scroll come out? (sorry to be a pain!)

  • Comment number 81.

    Welcome to everyone new! Fairly new myself. Plenty of room. Great pic above. Really intrigued to see how it all works out. More mojitos/champagne anyone?

  • Comment number 82.

    @realmitchell pour me a glass! *waves*

  • Comment number 83.

    Wait so they lose their souls in return for eternal life and so they then drink blood why?

    Also, what causes le dreaded green box? Because it just got annoying after about four refreshes.

  • Comment number 84.

    Miss Rebecca, good luck with the madness tonight.

  • Comment number 85.

    71 - Ah, there you are. Cheers! SSssssssslllllllllllluuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrpppp! Where's the bottle then - you hiding it - need a glass for Rebecca poor girl, whe's run off her feet!

  • Comment number 86.

    Ok, so this mahoosive sofa---, who's all on it? Just so I know who my drinking buddies are this nicht. x

  • Comment number 87.

    76 @leanne isnt it because they supposedly made a deal with the devil in exchange for blood and there soul?

  • Comment number 88.

    81. @Marigolds. May I have a mojito please? Ill be back in a little while.
    1 hour 15 mins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment number 89.

    My God, this blog moves fast.

    I can't believe it, I always check my comments before posting and then when I put down a question for DM, I actually write total rubbish.

    @RebeccaDenton:

    If you wrote down my question, please correct: It's obviously "dry cycles", not circles. Thank you. :)

    How embarrassing...

  • Comment number 90.

    @63 -ewan - yes, my typo, sorry....Tom hurting Alex. Think it could drive Tom over the edge? Or into such a state that he stops hunting vampires?

  • Comment number 91.

    @66 LizzyT
    I want Tom to *just* be building a swimming pool

  • Comment number 92.

    @86 I won't say no to a drink!! *sits on sofa* :)

  • Comment number 93.

    @sasha 58- ahhh what a lovely speech, you brought a tear to my eye!
    ill pass on the bollinger (put a little orange juice in it tho and ill say yes)
    id rather have an asti spumanti!!!!

  • Comment number 94.

    69-@Jae Another reason why they never smile in old photographs is because they had to hold their poses for a very long time, and I think they didn't fancy a cramp in their facial muscles ^.^

  • Comment number 95.

    Just a theory about le photo: Has she just witnessed le tearing out of a throat? Because I'd have a face like that if recovering from a shock like that!

  • Comment number 96.

    OK guys so the message is: we want Series 5 AND A REAL SWIMMING POOL FOR TOM!

  • Comment number 97.

    86 - RM - 'this nicht' Scottish? And I am firmly planted on the sofa :-D

  • Comment number 98.

    68- The way i always thought of it is this - Vampires exchanged their souls for eternal life, because if you were going to live forever you wouldn't need a soul as that is something you need to pass over, which vampires won't be doing any time soon. I also thought the reason they want blood is because the devil (who they exchanged their souls to) uses them as like a servant, to bring the devil more souls into hell, and if he makes them want blood, then they'll have to kill people for it, hence sending more people into hell for the devil. That's how I've always thought about it anyway...

    And on the definition, a soul isn't part of your mind, it's just something that you have when you're alive. You only need your mind to feel emotion, to feel sad or sorry or to regret something, and vampires have their minds, just not a soul (they are not alive). A person only needs their mind to know that what they're doing is right or wrong, and obviously what vampires do is wrong so they could still feel remorse for doing it...I know what i mean but i don't think i'm explaining it well, i tend to babble. :)

  • Comment number 99.

    @edward WELCOME! took me a while to join the party too! #alwayslatetotheparty

    I'm off to finish a few things before Q and A begins...

    @realmitchell please save a spot for me on your cumfy sofa! and some jellies! :)

  • Comment number 100.

    90 - Unless he hurt her because of a Vampire then what would happen?
