Tommy has worked at Brinford Police Station for two years.

He has been taken under the wing of Sergeant Swift who is unsentimentally fond of him. Swift sees the lad tries hard to fit in, but there鈥檚 something about him the others dislike 鈥� a neediness 鈥� that leaves Tommy on the outside of the group dynamic.

As a child Tommy was known on the playground as 鈥淧-P-P-Perkins鈥�. Tommy doesn鈥檛 usually stutter, but under extreme duress he can鈥檛 help the old nervous tick coming back.

He has a tendency to ingratiate himself to his superiors which earns him their approval but does little for his popularity amongst the ranks.

He is pleased to be noticed by but this is something he will regret when Coulson tries to manipulate him.
