Deffinately Josie. It was obviously those two were in love and, as weird as it sounds, I think if he had turned her into a vampire all those years ago, then they would of been able to be there for each other, and learnt to help each other through their 'vampire ways'.
But that's my oppinion :-)

Yes! I think Mitchell will find love ... and lust over and over again. I think there will be happy flings and many unhappy endings. I think he will behave like the cool trendy twenty something that he appears to be and then also become the morose self loathing 100 year vampire that he cannot escape from.

I think he was genuinely in love with Josie at the time but i don't necessarily think that she was the love of his life as much as I'd have liked her to have been. I think he really loved Lauren but was riddled with guilt and lust so there we are.

i think for mitchell to find love it would have to be someone special, so special that he could refrain himself from killing them (i say them, he might end up with a man, now that would be one twist) and someone that he could confide in, and wouldnt mind him killing the odd person. whether they were vampire or not is a different story. I think if Lauren wasnt being controlled by Herrick and used as a lure, they would have made a good couple.

As far as Mitchell/Love well I think you guys know me well enough by now for me to just say....I am here, waiting for him...it is me..I am his true love.(he and Toby just don't realise it yet!) I will put up with his 'strange' ways.
But to be serious....if it is not going to be me then it needs to be another 'Josie' type. Someone who he knows really loves him, but is quite strong with him and tells it like it is and importantly is not afraid of what he is.

Yeah, the more I think about it is either Josie....or me.

Well unfortunately for Mitchell I don't think he ever will find 'the one'. If he was with a human then they would grow old and die (like Josie), but if he was with another vampire then he would have to put up with them killing and the temptation that would go along with that. I think it's unlikely that he would ever find another vampire that had such a strong sense of right and wrong, because let's face it, as a vampire he is a bit ... urm unique? Generally speaking vampires are evil and kill a lot.
Poor Mitchell, it doesn't mean he can't have a good old fling though, I hear vampfan is available.

ok this is not related to the topic, but its a question that have been annoying me for a while and i would like an answer- either to tell me that i am being an idoit or an explanation :P
OK well in episode 1, or the pilot one of them, mitchell and george both comment that the under the hospital place where george can change is perfect because it cannot be opened from the inside, so Mitchell will come and let George out in the morning. OK fine but then how come in episode 6 Mitchell and annie cannot come in and annie has to transport herself through to open the door? and george can open it? BUT then when nina arrives, she opens the door no problem????? as u can see i have thought about this and its driving me mad! please give me an answer!!!
the only thing i could think of was that Mitchell cannot go through doors without being invited, but that would not explain why Annie could not just open it without moving??????!!! please help!!!

I agree with bunnybiter (# 10). I mean, it just couldn't happen could it? If he was with a human they'd grow old and die (think Josie was very good for him but in a more motherly way perhaps). If he was with a vampire, one or both of them would end up in trouble and I think it'd be very unfair for him to turn someone, even if they asked (I mean look what happened to poor Lauren). I'm glad Becca was only in one episode, that's all I'll say on that.

I agree with all the people that have said that another person like Josie would have been good. I mean she survived dating him. Not many girls can say that. If it hadn't been for the terminal illness/ sacrificing herself to save Mitch then she'd still be alive.

Josie was the love of his life. And she was his only redeeming 'situation' in the whole thing. Oh no actually.. he asked to turn her, she refused, then he killed her, he could have just died. So maybe he didn't love her that much.

He will be single forever because he would make a terrible boyfriend. Here's why:

He has constant stubble. I just want to shave him every time I see him.

He's like 100 years old yet remains slightly dumb and unaware of himself (how is this even possible?)

He's immortal so when you start panicking over your first fine lines you will freak out about how he will always remain young, stubbly and slightly dumb.

He kills people for fun and when he's not doing that he's fantasising about doing it. It would put a whole different set of concerns on the worry about why you're bf is eyeing up other women or what he's really thinking about during sex.

Suppose it just doesnt really bother me how someone dresses :-S apart from women who walk around in tiny skirts and vest tops in december...that annoys me lol and i guess the extreme stereotypes goths, chavs etc - ok i guess i do notice lol but apart from those - not bothered. although think its quite funny that russell wears that green shirt as George and also as Budgie...does he just carry it with him from part to part lol

it annoys me when girls go around dressed in way to short clothes. and some people in clubs literally go out on the underwear and i think it's digusting. I always wear hoodies. I'm wearing one right now actually. :P But I don't ever put the hoods up. For one thing I hate to have my head covered. I just can't stand it. But anyway I'm in the age range that people tend to hate and mutter "teenagers" or "students" under their breath when I'm minding my own business anyway no matter what I wear.

Well in my defence sixth form is kind of a mixture between school and college yes? well do one subject in creative writing another in media (basically playing around with videos and watching sitcoms...well it was when i did it lol) sorted - there you go i have my uses lol

English Language is good but there's a lot of learning to do. I didn't do it this year 'cause I fell out with my teachers but I need another A2 and there's no way I'm taking Class Civ or Drama again.

Not many schools do it. It was fun but hard. And it would have been fine if it had been taught well but it really wasn't. The teachers just made it dull. :/

It sounds really interesting but maybe thats just me? :-S yeah the teachers i had had a habit of making things really dull too actually - i love history it fascinates me but hated it when i was at school but that may have been more to do with me than the teachers so again if i went back now maybe i would...i never thought id say that i hated school and couldnt wait to get out of there lol same for art...although i cant draw for toffee so thats why i was rubbish lol i was more in to the history and looking at pretty pictures rather than trying to paint them lol

It is interesting. I enjoyed the first few lessons until I got bored and started writing through the lessons (getting an idea why I've been failing yet?) That's why I hated English up until year 11. I didn't get it and the teachers weren't doing anything to help me. It was only once I'd developed my own writing enough to know what the hell they were going on about that I managed to get my head 'round it. Art was okay. Even though I was rubbish at it we had a really encouraging teacher. :)

super, I loved your reasons for why Mitchell would make a crap boyfriend.
Becca --- couldn't see him with her at all. I don't know why he even went on a date with her (esp. as he knew George liked her).
Lauren --- I think he fancied her but I think they'd have driven each other crazy if they'd stayed together. I think she really knew how to wind him up.
Josie --- I think he did love her but presumably there were reasons why it didn't work out in the first place. I think she loved him but she knew it would never work out.
I agree he could end up with a man or werewolf in the case of George. Or another supernatural being. I could suggest Annie and I do see plus points to this but on the other hand I feel it's a bit selfish as it's made out to be a big thing for a ghost to finally get resolution and cross over and he would be denying her that for eternity.

I had a habit of writing in lessons too and taught myself outside of lessons because most of the teachers really were dull i came out with pretty good grades so i must have done something right lol well for my school my grades were rubbish it was a grammar school and if we didnt get straight A's they treated you like youd just killed their puppy and eaten it in front of them lol but i got 13 a-c gce's which have served me ok to be honest so golf balls to em lol (am i ok to say that mr moderator?)

I write in all lessons except English. I even wrote in drama when we had an exam. Hell I wrote during the actual exam! lol. That was fun. Practical exam that is. :P

Though during November when I wrote 131k in a month (I'm sorry I earnt the right to boast) I wrote during all lessons. The trick is to pay attention enough to take notes but scribble furiously at the same time. It's fun. :) I've always been good at multitasking.

lol i never word count anything i do :-S just a page count on scripts and then time them but only ever word count on assignments etc but still i dont think ive ever written that much lol

Back to topic - will Mitchell ever find love? I think so yes - well I think it's possible whether or not Toby decides to let him is another matter. Hmm it all depends on whether or not my theory's right or not but assuming it is then he could - but as for "normal" vampires it's a tricky one are they actually capable of feeling love? They're meant to have no soul (but I won't get into the soul debate again lol) but I don't think the likes of Herrick/Seth etc ever could or would want to. But Mitchell I think could - I think he could feel it but again its all part of the theory lol. But if he did it would have to be with either another vampire like him - because as I said the normal vampires wouldn't be able to love him back and just no it wouldn't work...or a human which I don't think would work eitherr - things with Josie didn't work out they would have no future what with him not growing old etc. So basically I think the perfect solution would be someone like Lauren - he'd have to recruit someone so he could make her like him - if he stayed with her unlike Lauren and looked after I dont think she'd go quite as mental lol I think it'd work.

You can put make up on without a mirror, but it is extremely hard and if you are not careful you will end up looking like a clown
