Nice One Sir Terry...just had a thought though about the corridor....it did not look a very nice place to go to....but when the door opened for Gilbert...he smiled...maybe it reflects the sort of life you have lead. And didn't someone say it was a white corridor?...well it was red when Saul went in....ooh this is getting so complicated.

Vampfan: Saul refers in Ep2 to the 'white light', which Annie obviously also saw. Maybe the red corridor was meant for her, as she'd rejected death, and then for Saul, as he failed to 'deliver' her?

thought his pills were painkillers from the accident not antipsychotic meds (sorry I know a bit about this stuff)...but they could've been...the voices of the dead over-rode the effect they would have and got through to him via the medium of TV because he seems to watch a lot of it!

Saul wasn't bad, just used by whoever wants Annie.

Saul tells Annie that, following a car crash, he died for 6 minutes. He then has another car crash and, when dead, the radio voice tells him that if he drags Annie through the door, he will return to life. He chooses not to and is redeemed. So, the door is meant for Annie but ends up being for Saul.

But were there two car crashes or is time being played with here?

Although, I think my iPlayer might be broken, it keeps mysteriously pausing and going back to the beginning of the topless AT bit and plays again and again and again. Mysterious huh? Clearly nothing to do with me ;)

Think vampfan and mustardseed right about different corridors for different people...depending on their manner of death or whether they've redeemed themselves/...all getting a wee bit religious isn't it!

Don't think Lucy is the prof...think he/she not revealed themselves yet. don't know about her...something tells me she will...albeit inadvertendly, lead Mitchell into situation which will lead to death of someone...maybe her?

Saw trailer last night for eps 3...another Desperate romantics meets being Human monent going on with new guy entering the action...don't know his name ( anglo will...she knows names of all actors..) but he played father of Lizzie Siddell...talking about Daisy.. waiting for more action with her...think it will show backscene with her baby before ivan the terrible did the deed which separated mum and babe...and babies were on the menu ( sorry...filming schedule) weren't they?

And Lloyd wants to help Nina...yeh...we saw how that worked so well Lloyd in eps 1 with the other werewolf..!

Not happy that annie has become invisible again..just when the girl was beginning to start a new life....hope that changes durng the series and she becomessolid to all..although Lenora did say in an interview recently that the last episode in this series shows something unexpected happening to annie....don't know what thet could be but don't think it will be her going through door ending.

Beinghumanfan (31) I am having the same problem with my Sky + - keeps just going back and back to the opening scence........do you think Aidan is aware of what this does to us? He seemed quite shy at the Being Human event - maybe it was because there were soooo many people.

And when Gilbert was going through his door it was meant to be - he was happy and thats why it was nice? maybe? thats what ive always thought but im in no doubt that toby will suprise us all and we'll all be wrong lol

Gonna try and watch all of ep2 last night, saw up to the bit when Saul came into the hospital after the crash last night...

London Time Out gives a very enthusiastic review to BH this week - and says ep 3 is a corker - with a momentous twist at end - which Colin T hinted at too ("best last ten minutes ever"?). I was wondering - as you do - Mitchell saves George (or Nina) from the chamber by making him (or her) a vampire - ie immortal? Can you be a vampire and a werewolf at the same time? Im quite taken by thought of Sinead as super-super natural - all powerful immortal vampire-werewolf-woman - not that she'd like it.

I'm fairly sure Aidan is aware of his impact on all hetro women and it's quite endearing that he is abashed by it ( i hope that's what it is )..although confess to being taken aback by comment on the SFX interview that he said 'oh ** hell' when he saw all the fans outside the Curzon...naughty boy!!!

What can I say Sir Tezza. AM-AZ-ING and quite frankly chuffing hilarious.

Not sure why there are a few bods on here attacking the dialogue and new characters....it's a whole new series, it would be boring if there weren't new people and the tone wasn't different.

I'm loving it. Although shouting at the TV is not becoming of a lady....

just seen vid! Everyone loves sir terrance of wake up to wogan lol! it was freaky wen i wos visiting my grandad in hospital and someone changed the tv channel and wogans perfect recall came on!! i hid behind my mum =S

I didn't know it was a real show until I read people saying they had seen it on here. Imagine how spooked ouu I would have been if I caught some of it one day and thought he was Death talking to me. I suppose viewing figures might have gone up fractionally due to intrigued BH fans.

At least Annie's invisibility solves the problem of her wearing the same clothes to work every day! Feel sorry for her though - she's back to square one. As is Mitchell - at the end of ep 1 he says 'finally' cos he thinks he's integrated with the rest of the street/human society but 5 mins into ep 2 he realises that he can never escape the fact that he's a vampire. If Carl can succumb and kill someone he loves then so could Mitchell. I predict that Mitchell is the king - he seems to have sway over the other vamps (will we see more back story? I hope so) and feels like he has to do damage control before it all comes crashing down around their ears. But if he's the king surely he'll have to go back to killing humans again? it's all v confusing!
I think there'll be a power struggle between Kemp and Lloyd about Nina. Kemp will want to put her in the compression chamber but Lloyd's really intrigued about 2 types 3s having a relationship.
Still unsure about Lucy. Surely she should be a bit more freaked out by an exsanguinated body with bite marks coming into the hospital. It can't happen that often!

#42 I agree....I adored Series 1, but Series 2 has just taken it to a whole new level; I was totally blown away by Episode 2 this week. And I disagree that the humour's gone, I just think it's a bit more 'grown up' (if that makes sense) as are the characters that have more facets to them now, like George's new agression, Mitchell's shyness, Annie's straight forwardness (kissing Hugh like that, cheeky!!)

For those that haven't seen it, there's one bit that stood out for me: "But what about everyone who wants Mitchell and Annie to get together after their moment in series one? The signs aren't good for now. Lenora explains: 鈥淚t's not really explored this series but you never know. At the moment Mitchell is too busy drinking blood...鈥� So does that mean Mitchell our "King" after all?.......

To be honest, I wouldn't really mind seeing a darker side to Mitchell (not a really evil side and only for a while). I think it would be interesting to see how it impacted on the others.

Just looked through briefly...Lauren died and she was a vampire so I'm wondering if a vamp gets staked or whether it's a human killed/turned into a vampire....

Toby also said a main character dies...could be Lucy as Lynsey Marshal must have loads of work coming up...or Kemp...or Lloydy-boy...but not necessarily George, Mitchell or Nina...think Annie might still be around...but I think they've all changed by the end of the series so much because of their experiences....can't see Mitchell ending up happy...think something bad happens that maybe he has a choice to make and finds it heartbreaking...perhaps something to do with Lucy or the housemates...

Surely series 3 wouldn't work if one of the trio (ok the 4 cos of Nina too) died - would alter the shows dynamic too much no?
And /if/ it were then my guess would be Nina or George because a) I will cry if Mitchell goes and Annie is already dead, b) Sinead & Russell have lots of work, whereas I've not heard of anything that Aidan is doing (and Annie cant die), and c) They are most likely - cos CENssa wants to put werewolves in that decompression chamber whereas we don't know if they kill or just experiment on the vamps.
I'm probably rambling but yeah.....

Oh and stuff I noticed from re-watching:
Shadow hitting somebody appears to be Mitchell and voice sounds like a woman.
The "king" is probably Mitchell - is getting a dirty look from Daisy and also he takes charge and says "If anybody feds, I'll kill you myself" (or words to that effect)
And funnily enough, all the other stuff I noticed was about Mitchell too, but I'll be quiet now.

This may be really contraversial, but if one of the 4 (mitchell, annie, george, nina) had to die then i would rather it was Nina. I reallly don't want it to be any of them but the origional three were george, annie and mitchell and i think if any of them left it would't be like the ame show any more.

but please dont kill off any of them. pleeeassee

Kate (#67) for the record I think/hope if it's a MAIN main character that it's Nina...it would make sense, what with the previews of George sobbing, and that fact that technically Mitchell and Annie can't 'die' just cease to exist. Plus with Series 3 in the pipeline they'll need our original gang surely (please?). I don't think anyone else can be classed as a main character really...in my opinion a main character is someone we can get inside the mind of, and we haven't seen anyone else to that extent (well excluding Saul and his episode with Sir Terry) :)

I think it could be Nina if a main character is going to die, that line about shortening her life expectancy could just come true :'(

It was planned to have her leave George after finding out he was a werewolf in episode 6 last year but Toby decided, partly due to Sinead being so great to have her become a werewolf and be back for series 2. But I suppose if he was planning to lose her once, it could happen again. :(

On a less unhappy note, the Guardian's review of ep2 is up, they are doing ablog for the whole series which means a review every week. They seem to be big fans, and who can blame 'em ;)



Also contains interesting news about the US remake:

"Back in the real world, the writers for the SyFy Channel's US remake were announced as being husband-and-wife team Jeremy Carver and Anna Fricke. Word is also that Mitchell may be a girl and Annie a boy. "

I know that isn't confirmed but can you imagine it working with, say Michelle and Danny. :D I'm not sure how the whole Owen storyline would work with a woman killing her husband but it would be interesting to see none-the-less.

DeadlyF: About someone dying....all I knew was that it was a main character...this could mean anyone from Kemp, Lloyd, Lucy, Ivan, Daisy or Hugh... don't forget that we've already had one death (Dan) so although he wasn't a main character, Toby said "someone kills" so perhaps that's who Toby meant when he said that...the 'main' character therefore has still to 'die'.... what was said was "someone kills, someone dies" and "a main character dies"...we could have three separate events here or two, if the "someone dies" happens to be a main character.

I have my own feelings about who is probably going to kick the bucket but they can all die in their own particular way....Mitchell and any of the other vampires can be staked and die that way, Annie can 'die' by disappearing down some corridor or other or being exorcised (wonder if Mark the vicar will make his return here?), and George and Nina can die in human ways as they are essentially human but not for a few hours every 28 days...

I've heard that the last episode is going to be filmed on a full moon...so this may have relevance as to who dies in the last episode...are we to have another werewolf killing again?...if so, who kills whom/what?..

There are some really interesting theories above ...I bet we all turn out to be wrong...but makes good reading.

VF: We're probably way off the mark but it's all good fun and passes the time of day...it would be a hoot if some of us were spot on, though...there were some interesting theories or six on Twitter but the problem with that is it's so fast and furious sometimes you can't keep up or have a proper 'conversation' on it...as far as I can see, all that seems to be happening is that we are all watching Being Human every night....not that I'm averse to that....doing it myself... noticing the odd two or three things here and there..

What did you make of the meeting Ivan and George had in the isolation room? For someone who doesn't like werewolves or George (probably because George was definitely doin' the do with Ivan's wife), he seemed interested in whether George was in a relationship...Ivan is not the type to make polite small talk so that bit was quite interesting...in a way Ivan is more of a realist than Mitchell who seems to be grasping at straws...you can almost sense his desperation to keep vampires and humans happy, whereas Ivan sensibly points out that saving Carl isn't the only one they're going to have to arrange Brazil for, and that vampires and humans cannot live happily side by side, at least the way things are at the moment (unlike in True Blood, which I have to say I did find a bit weird from that point of view)...Mitchell is struggling on so many levels you can really sympathise with his character...makes you wonder how it's all going to end but I can see he's going to have to make a major decision by the end of S2....perhaps he has to make Lucy into a vampire to 'save' her or allow her to die a normal death...

Well I couldn't see what Ivan was up to when he met with George but he was up to something....Daisy has called George 'the killer of kings' so maybe Ivan was assessing if/when George needs getting rid of....Ivan does seem to be more of a realist....with thoughts a bit like Herrick's.

As far as the vampire goes, well I just think he has the worries of the whole world on his (rather lovely) shoulders at the moment....he knows stuff and has no-one to share the burden with...even he and George are a bit distant .....but never worry, it will all come good.

VF: (80) So I have...hehe...in his mad, vampiric way Ivan's kind of more in tune with the reality of how vampires and humans react and that it would be extraordinarily difficult, if not impossible (at least at present) for both to co-habit easily and openly. Mitchell was implying to Ivan that perhaps if they were more open about themselves it might be easier but this wouldn't be possible right now...it would take something monumental, like all vampires giving up their addiction, and for all humans to be tolerant of vampires, for that to happen....as Mitchell now knows, even if you're on the wagon for 20years there's no guarantee you're going to stay there...even Nina said he and the others were "turning native"...I guess he's looking at Carl and Dan and wondering if he's ever going to have a normal-type relationship...brings us back to Lucy...there is something with that girl can't quite put my finger on....

Hi anglo and eagle - I was wondering at first if Annie was trying to get George and Nina back together - but George wouldnt "help" her do that?? I dont think Mark the vicar was Catholic? so someone new? - maybe the church the vampires are sheltering in is Catholic - but it looks derelict in clips?
Also someone new called Kirsty - dont recognise the actor's name - maybe it is Hugh's lovelife Annie is getting into - he said he'd wait but maybe now she's invisible she'll give up on that?

The George/Ivan talk was interesting - Ivan seemed to be worried about his own inability to feel and Daisy maybe rediscovering that - maybe he's more attached to her than he thinks? - and feels more than he thinks - which might make him step up to "king" just to impress her? Still wonder if it's Mitchell though.
Too much speculation - back to work! probably ..

eagle (88) - I hate to say it after that awful TV critic interview - but I cant help feeling PR is over-acting a bit?? though his script is pretty rich so maybe he hasnt much choice. He's a great character!

Hi eagle...no, can't say that I like him but did feel a bit sorry for him when he was watching George and Daisy....unless it was a set-up...then I don't know what I think...but he did actually look sad.

Do you know the name of the actor playing Kirsty? I might recognise her...I wonder who she is, then...new vampire, perhaps an old flame (another one!) of Mitchell's, or Hugh's...or another member of the CenSSA team perhaps?

Can't work out who's King...judging by the bemused look on Daisy's face it could be Mitchell....there's been no major scene with them at all so it could be that there's a history there or she's scared of him for some reason...they don't seem very close, considering they're vampires...

VF: Felt a bit sorry for Ivan when he was being voyeuristic! Looked either jealous, angry or sad...difficult to say, I've checked out that scene and still can't make up my mind!

He seems quite bad but I'm wondering if he's puzzled by Daisy's new-found feelings and is trying to regain some of his own...like he wants to know what it was like to 'feel' things again because by his own admission he feels nothing now.

George is annoying me. He's so hypocritical. Last series it was Mitch saying one thing and doing another and now it's George. He was so judgemental towards Carl (who I absolutely love btw, cute!) and yet he just accepts what Mitch has done in the past. I'd love to know what he'd say if he knew Mitch had turned Bernie. Actually, save that for series 3. I'm glad he got a 'Dear George' letter. I wish he'd just take his moody self on holiday for a bit and give us a break from his moaning. That goes for Nina as well although it looks like she's going to be stuck in a white tube for a while anyway. It's all so dark and self pitying atm.
Ivan, Daisy, Carl and Lucy are great characters, they can stay. :p
Didn't much take to the Saul thing or Wogan but I think these first two eps had to work as the set up for the rest of the series so I'm really hopeful for Sunday.
Little things I did like included the silly Mitch/George interaction about Mitch having lived with other people before, the flashback was interesting too and Annie being scared to turn the radio off. It was just the small things I liked in this episode.

Kirsty is hughs ex girlfriend Annie feels guilty so she tries to get them back together by (lol!) sending her out on 'the worlds worst date' with George but obviously Ninas just left him and hes feeling a bit...you know...and it goes a bit *ahem* wrong.
