The Beatles said that all you need is love. Well if that's true, Annie's in luck, as she's had two guys chasing her for a while now... but for some reason she always seems to pick the wrong type.

First there was Owen who... well, he killed her. And now we've had Saul, the super-slick headcase and Hugh, the super-sweet loner.

The situation left us asking 'what is a girl to do'?? (Apart from snog them both, obv.)

Well we thought it was worth investigating, so this week we've gone behind the scenes at the New Found Out pub to see just how this love triangle played out. Do you think if things had been different either of these guys could ever have been right for Annie? Leave us your comments below...

  • Comment number 3.

oh my christ LOVED it and Saul - none of us saw that coming which just - yeah - wow - go Toby!

Watching my family and other animals though :-) sad BH thoughts have to be put aside for a bit lol

  • Comment number 4.

I can't hear it, the laptop is misbehaving. But yes, Hugh would have been lovely for Annie. But would she have stuck with him? she seems to be drawn to bad boys. hmmm.....

  • Comment number 5.

OMG Annie!!! :'( *goes to watch vid*

  • Comment number 6.

    Hugh and George!!! LOL

  • Comment number 7.

Kate Bush the original singer of Hounds of love being the singer of choice when this is the episode where Nina makes a break from George

  • Comment number 8.

    "He's your murdering fugitive..."= legendary!

  • Comment number 9.

    the comment by George
    usually someone taller

  • Comment number 10.

great episode and poor Annie! Not again!!
Funny last week I thought that Saul could be a ghost and then thought not as he could drink... there is something to be said about first instincts! LOL
    Can't wait for next week!!

  • Comment number 11.

Aww Hugh, bless him! You've gotta love a bit of bromance! ;)

  • Comment number 12.

Poor annie, reverting back to the invisable stage :( and poor Nina! Is she going to get caught then, and George try come to her aid but in the process get caught and stuck in a cage? :S

  • Comment number 13.

    lol eagle.
and I'm just loving Nina this series - Sinead is fab, I've said it before and will bang on about it til the cows come home he he he
Poor Nina is goin to be kidnapped by the baddies and our heroes will have to go to her rescue.
Why can Annie no longer be seen?? Again?? Shock? becauase she didnt go thru the door? but she didnt go thru it last time, and was still visible. In fact she ended up as super ninja vampire bashing Annie!
    oooh, loved this episode!!!

  • Comment number 14.

Where is Owen by the way....is he going to come back this series? Personally I think Saul is nice....but obviously crazy! Hugh would freak out if he found out Annie was a ghost.

  • Comment number 15.

there was loads in it ! Poor Annie :( I hope Nina comes back soon and Mitchell was looking particularly handsome and all that goes with being a sexy Vampire lol - a real treat tonight - can't wait for the next instalment!

  • Comment number 16.

22 days til full moon and no type 3's left!! omg somethings gotta give he he he

  • Comment number 17.

If Annie can no longer be seen tho, will it count in our favour when it comes to the big showdown? I mean, will she be able to sneak about spying on the baddies unseen? Or not?

  • Comment number 18.

at least we know hugh is staying as teh actor talked about ep 3 and hinted towards beyond ep 3.
    wooo hooooo.
there may be hope for annie and hugh yet,

  • Comment number 19.

I do love this series, however, I'm finding it really dark. I miss the comedy that we saw in every episode of the last series but its only annie whos really giving us the comedy so far.
And I thought Mitchell was really unsupportive of Annie when she got back from sauls. Infact he was nasty to her. Thank god george was there, he was being nice!

  • Comment number 20.

How could Nina leave George? And she's obviously gonna get caught by those evil scientists. How come they seem to be more interested in Werewolves than ghosts or vampires? Still, Hugh and George, such a perfect couple, i want to go to their wedding. :)

  • Comment number 21.

this is not the safe home anymore
    to quote s1 ep5
This is where the wild things are.
and thats why we love it

  • Comment number 22.

Wow...what an episode...if the next 6 are like that we're in for one hell of a lot of treats...

Wondered if Annie became invisible for only a short length of time... because of the shock she's had... she reacts in odd ways to various e motions and I wonder if this is just the aftermath of this particular going-thru-the-door-and-not-wanting-to issue...

Nina's not going yet...CenSSA will be after her, probably bribing her with the offer of either curing her or George...this is going to get very, very messy...

Think the King of vamps is probably Mitchell looking at the expression on Daisy's face when they're all chanting...

There is so much to look forward to until March..

  • Comment number 23.

I was thinking maybe the shock of it all is why she can't be seen?

  • Comment number 24.

I think they're more interested in the werewolves because they think it will be easier to change/cure them than ghosts or vampires. Most of the time they are normal with normal anatomy. Unlike our other two mates.

  • Comment number 25.

I don't think Annie will be invisibe for too long. We need a romance between her and sweetie pie Hugh. Do you tink that's the last we'll see of the evil ghosts (is that what they were?) and Saul?

  • Comment number 26.

I hope it's the last we see of Saul - horrible character. eugh!!

  • Comment number 27.

Well Hugh said the first 3 eps... so she's GOTTA get visable in next weeks!!

  • Comment number 28.

I think Annie's just going through a blip. She's had a scare and has lost a lot of confidence. She'll get back on her feet after a bit I'm sure.

  • Comment number 29.

didn't we learn last series that it's a confidence thing and judging by the thing with the radio she has no confidence anymore!!!

that was so brilliant!!! amazing job everyone esp toby and our fab four!!! it even made me forget how stressed i was so thank you thank you thank you!!! xxx

  • Comment number 30.

So overwhelmed by the episode. Pure genius!! I feel so sad 4 annie so close to love yet so far, and george in the same boat, how cud any1 leave him?? I can't wait a week 4 the next episode. Don't rate Lucy much, Mitchel cud do better!!!!

  • Comment number 31.

I'm so excited about the rest of the series...want to watch it now!! OMG...and Mitchell...can he get any more sexy!
    Need to lie down...

  • Comment number 32.

Does no one miss the comedy we saw in the last series?

  • Comment number 33.

watching on i player with the occasional pause to comment
Mitchell is really making polos seem a very cool way to chat someone up

  • Comment number 34.

dramalovely, but at the end she did have the confidence to go out to work! So it proves that she's still got quite a bit. I wouldn't say she has no confidence because she did that! She'll get it back I'm sure.

  • Comment number 35.

Cant believe Nina going it alone poor George. Poor annie i think hugh cld of been right if of course she was not a ghost now he can't see her seems like it's going back to how it use to be with just the three of them in the house. Mymymy AT has got even buffer I'm loving his arms and didn't he look Cody in his dressing gown ??? I
and loving this series love the fact it's darker but still has all the humour ..

  • Comment number 36.

iggy... stuff the comedy... it was SEXY! pmsl!! and brilliant! The writing and acting was amazing! And there was still comedy! Especially Geeky Mitchell... awww bless!

  • Comment number 37.

Jen - no Saul was a good guy in the end!

Ok cant catch up not when Mr Toveys on screen again and talking with a posh accent lol but must just say - LOVED bad baaaaaaaaad Mitchell, loved Ivan again him and Daisy - fantastic characters - looking forward to seeing more Daisy next episode hopefully (I read in an interview she had to do a topless scene so maybe a bit of naughtiness with Mitchell? Lol well at least it wouldn't be anything new to Aidan and Amy after D.R would it lol)

  • Comment number 38.

And don't trust Lucy, Mitchell, she's involved with the bad stuff somewhere...mind you, I was wrong about Saul...ish...thought he was bad at first, then good...and he wasn't that good...mind you, he did go through the door himself instead of eventually pushing Annie through and that was a good thing...?

  • Comment number 39.

Looks like its gonna be a Mitchell week next week. Better be sure to have a glass of water at hand to cool down. :P

  • Comment number 40.

Ok yeah there was a bit of comedy. Yeah Saul did good in the end

  • Comment number 41.

OK been reading this blog from the start. Registered once, lost both password and email, so I'm back and stressed over Nina. Hope she's going to be ok. I mean she's the perfect test subject, "I feel radioactive..."

Saul, OMG what a s**t, but he did the right thing in the end. I love this show, I thought, episode one lost some of the humour but this one, Brilliant.

OOOOH those voices on the radio. Note to self, watch Terry Wogan, with a little more concern.

"Hi Being Human Moderator" and "Being Human" Production team, it's folk like you that help make this a compulsive blog. Hi bloggers...

Now going to go to bed, and worry over Nina

    Night

  • Comment number 42.

Cieria - exactly! Annie still had confidence to go out, call to Hugh etc etc. I will be suprised if it's just a confidence blip - I think the men with sticks and rope have done something. Saul goin thru the door instead has done something to Annie - after all it was Annie's door.

  • Comment number 43.

    good point C!!

my housemate was watching it with me and just laughing at my reactions!! i very nearly fell off my chair i was that much on the edge of my seat!!!!

  • Comment number 44.

Said it on twitter and will say it again here.... ThankGod it wasn't THIS episode that we saw in London... poor Aidan wouldn't have got out alive afterwards, he he!

Tonights was DEF better than the 1st ep!

  • Comment number 45.

eagle - he might have turned out good - kind of - but still creepy if u ask me!!
topless Daisy eh - well I'd prefer topless Mitchell but there you go perhaps they will both be topless together eh!!

  • Comment number 46.

    "Can I kiss you?"
    "What? Now? Today?"

bless Annie, it'll be sad if she reverts because I felt like we were getting a bit more of the pre-death Annie coming out. i was so, so, scared by that corridor.

and yes, where is Owen? maybe he will just be sectioned forever. I used to think he might kill himself, but now i guess not if he knows what's coming!

  • Comment number 47.

yep sweetlyssa I agree - enjoyed it last week but this week was more like the show we know and love

  • Comment number 48.

I think this, Annie not being visible again is bigger than her confidence because why would it be the ending scene?

  • Comment number 49.

no it was sauls door which is presumably why "I Can't" take her through the door with him!!!

  • Comment number 50.

Brooke... you just SEEN topless Mitchell.... ooooh... hot sweaty topless mitchell!!!

  • Comment number 51.

no i agree i did prefer this one to last weeks!! and very much enjoyed topless Mitchell!!!

  • Comment number 52.

and can I just dig up that old gem we were banging on about last series - why were Mitchell and Herrick called by their surnames and Seth wasnt? didnt we decide it was because Seth was - well, to put it kindly - not the sharpest knife in the drawer (*hopes superochre isnt listening*)
because Ivan seems as sharp as a pointy bit of sharp pointy glass pointy stuff - so why is he called by his first name?? Eh?

  • Comment number 53.

Hmm so the thing with Mitchell and the chair? Are we meant to understand what happened? I was wrestling with my recordy thing and it didnt record the very start so cant watch it again wasnt paying attention lol or is it something we're meant to try and figure out?

  • Comment number 54.

another idea about the door when Saul stepped through he was stuck and couldn't do any thing

  • Comment number 55.

Eagle 53) Mitchell was tied to the chair becuase his friend was trying to help him give up blood I think.

  • Comment number 56.

nope - it's Annie's door I'm sure, it's the same as the one that came for her in the last series, and the voice on the radio was saying something like "if you get her in Saul you'll wake up fit as a fiddle" or something like that.
    Definitely Annie's door.

  • Comment number 57.

    52) Jon and William are common names there are a lot of people called that it was the same at my school when two kids had the same name

  • Comment number 58.

ah, thanks kate - I like eagle missed the first minute or two and had no idea what they were up to. yep, I'm sure ur right

  • Comment number 59.

Yeah it was Annies door but it was less inviting by being dark. In series one it looked like a place to somewhere good, lit up with lights, unscary.

  • Comment number 60.

    56) one not as ornate a door two the voices don't scream honesty at me

  • Comment number 61.

maybe ewan u might be onto something. specially in the old days when there were fewer names about - I mean boys were usually called after their dads.
yep, think u might have got it

  • Comment number 62.

Another great episode- well written and brilliantly acted...please can we have track listings for each episode the music's great!

  • Comment number 63.

annie's door had a knob in the middle and a little plaque on it, i don't think it was the same door. i doubt that door exists anymore. hence she's in limbo.

  • Comment number 64.

Poor Annie, to be honest I don't think either of them were right for her because, well she IS dead. A normal, mortal man is going to grow old and die and not necessarily stick around afterwards, and that's assuming he can deal with a romance with a ghost in the first place.

What's Hugh going to do when she doesn't turn up for work? George and Mitchell will have to come up with some sort of cover story for her 'vanishing'.

  • Comment number 65.

In series 1 when annie turned down death she becuase all solid and powerful, how come now deaths trying to drag her back like she made the wrong decision?

  • Comment number 66.

Yeah well thats why she should get together with Mitchell!

  • Comment number 67.

I thought there was a knob there in the middle? didnt I see one?
oh, lol will have to watch it on iplayer and pause it he he
off to bed now, night all x x

  • Comment number 68.

Oops i meant "she BECAME all solid and powerful". I need to remember to preview.

  • Comment number 69.

Yeah I figured it was for that just didnt know what - but watched it on iplayer - some kind of electric shock therapy or something? lol well theres a rubber mat on the floor and hes soaking wet so im guessing so

  • Comment number 70.

She says to Saul "its not my door!"

  • Comment number 71.

    soaking wet mitchell *lalalalalalalalalalalala*

  • Comment number 72.

another reference to being a vampire changing someone in the reason for not recruiting his lover

  • Comment number 73.

yeh iggy but she'd say that anyway cos she doesnt want to go thru it does she??
anyway lets not argue bout a stupid door - we'll all be there with the pause buttons tomorrow lol
    definitely goin now ttfn

  • Comment number 74.

BTW, anyone know who the other guy on TV was, the one who talked Saul into drink driving?

  • Comment number 75.

ask eagle firebird she knows everything!
    definitely going! goodnight

  • Comment number 76.

    hahahahaha just watched the video!!!

  • Comment number 77.

    Newsreader - Jonathan Aris

From the cast list. :) He appears to be an actor, not a real newsreader as well.

  • Comment number 78.

I’ve only just found out about this new blog so I don’t know if this has been said yet-

In BH death is scary. In the pilot Annie said there was a long corridor with people at the end with ropes and sticks waiting for you. Annie told her murderer a secret about death and it drove him mad. Mitchell told Annie not to tell George as he has seen it to and Annie told George not to look though her door. Gilberts wanted to go because it was his time and he chose scary death over being stuck here forever.

    :-)=:::…

  • Comment number 79.

Right - now watched it a second time - Sooo much in it - fantastic - another rollercoaster. Yes it's dark - but as Toby said he couldnt just write S1 again - they had to move on - and - they are vampires, werewolves etc. There is humour - the Mitchell/Lucy scenes are great - dont know if she's bad or not - but (as was said re the trailers) AT's acting just went up a whole notch - his comic timing especially is just superb. BAFTA nom anyone?

  • Comment number 80.

    Thanks DF.

  • Comment number 81.

celticgrace I think the only reason many of us don’t trust/dislike Lucy is because we are envies of her.

    ;-)=:::…

  • Comment number 82.

Rebecca, lol that's so true. Though I really really do think she's bad.

  • Comment number 83.

I think there might be a war coming Mitchell becoming the king some will object and there will be much flowing of mountain streams

  • Comment number 84.

brooksie - you calling me a know it all? nope dont actually know who it is lol

hmm mitchell in that chair still making me think - could be doing several different things i suppose...electric shock treatment being one of the nicer ones lol im gonna stop speculating cos i feel a bit sick lol but just wanted to make sure i wasnt missing the obvious and everyones given me a different answer so obviously i wasnt lol could be...many different things so im gonna go with one of the nicer ones for daydreams sake lol

  • Comment number 85.

OOH AWESOME EPISODE!! argh thats what being human is about :D :D loved it :) :) :) :) :) though tbf any episode that begins with AT tied to a chair with no top on is absoltuly fine by me :) :)
which brings me to my one question, i didn't really understand why carl haddddddd tied him to the chair without his top on?? any answers would be good :)

  • Comment number 86.

oh and the "one long rollover week" line - initially thought of a nice nod back to series 1 but its not is it because that scene got cut so either its a nice nod to the fans or he just really liked the line lol

favourite scene gotta be george and nina with the breakfast in bed :-) makes me go all fuzzy and loverly lol

  • Comment number 87.

Fair enough Cieria . It was only an idea. I think she is good and we are just paranoid.

    :-)=:::…

  • Comment number 88.

alismooth - lol thats what ive been asking but dont worry you didnt miss anything obvious everyones given me a different answer depending on how their mind works lol i have to admit ive had some answers i would not have expected off a few friends lol. utter filth.

im going for some kinda of electric shock stuff or something :-S

BHP - unless we're all missing the obvious and there is a clear answer? lol

  • Comment number 89.

Ali (85) Im thinking this was a sight of the Bad Black Heart Mitchell ( see how he went for Carl's mate when he came in - not the Mitchell we know - calling him names and threatening him) - so Carl was stopping him getting out there on NY Eve rampaging around, feeding etc - cause he's started to get him clean?

Now thinking of Mitchell on the rampage.... just let him go....

  • Comment number 90.

I think Mitchell was tied to the chare so he couldn’t go out and hurt people. I don’t think they did anything to him just kept him away from temptation.

    :-)=:::…

  • Comment number 91.

I’ve got work tomorrow so goodnight everyone.

    :-)=:::…

  • Comment number 92.

Hmm Mitchell had been wavering since the 60s though which mad me think something big had happened :-S but who knows...maybe we'll find out or maybe its one of those things we'll be speculating about lol

  • Comment number 93.

not too sure why he was tied to that chair but if im being honest i missed a lot of that dialog. def had me glued to the screan though. fantastic ep. really want to watch it again but think i might wait for my day off tomorrow.

  • Comment number 94.

I thought the chair thing was just to force him to go cold turkey. I didn't think there was any electric shock stuff just tie him up to keep him away from temptation til the cravings are gone and he isn't dependant on blood.

A bit like making someone quit smoking by tying them up to a chair with their top off :D

  • Comment number 95.

    Wow what an episode!!
Annie was happy and in control for a total of one and a half episodes. and Hugh was sooo cute in this episode. If she wasn't a ghost and he wasn't just Human I could seriously get into that pairing, but they are doomed, and I prefer her and Mitchell anyway. what I don't understand is this invisability (apologies if its already been explained above - I plan to read after posting)but has this thing come back because of what happened with Saul? or is this a way 'the other side' are trying punish her for not crossing over?
Lucy and Mitchell sitting on Laurens bench was nice too, I wonder if Lucy is just a way to show that mitchell is no better than Carl and that he will break and kill again, but I doubt it as its kinda been done in series 1. I warmed (very) slightly to Lucy in this episode she can be funny (as was Herrick) and I really want to like her but despite everything I'm still suspicious. I just don't trust her.stay away Mitchell!!
and lastly Nina left George and is in the profs evil clutches! I saw that coming a mile off but I thought I could be wrong, right up until he walked by her. George was ace in this episode he and Mitchell have got a bit of role reversal going on with Annie. He was very hard on Carl - he did kill Herrick afterall and isn't in a good place to be judgmental. Ivan was...surprising I kinda like him, even if he has strange taste in music.
and last of all a cameo by Terry Wogan....was not expecting that but it was an absolute genius idea!
I cannot wait for next weeks episode!

  • Comment number 96.

right soss shoudl have read blog befor eposting the chair question lol :) why he had his top off i don;t know, not that that is a complaint mind :) i suposse its jsut something we are supposed to forget about and jsut watch :)
the bit with annie at the end terrified me though! i was grippign to sofa tightly nad vvvv close to screaming out 'nooooo' lol so is saul gone for good now then? that was quite sad but cute the wya he went :)

  • Comment number 97.

i agree with )95) did warm to Lucy a bit this episode, well a LOT more than i did to her in episode one anyway
she was more.. real i think, but idk somethign about her, doesn;t seem right.. the way she kept going on about gay vampires to mitchell makes me think she knows something.... but maybe not and maybe we are just too jealous lol :)

  • Comment number 98.

Lol ok in all the excitement didnt actually watch the video but bless Russell and Nathan at the end - so funny :-D

Hope Hugh stays in it for a bit hes lovely and Nathan is rather sexy isnt he :-D don't normally go for blondes lol but yep rather lovely :-)

I have to say though I've always seen George and Annie as having a sort of brother/sister relationship but after his comment "the only person who would want to hear that is your ACTUAL brother...you may as well stab him in the face!" Lol hmm made me think...

  • Comment number 99.

wow! ep 2! really loved this one... and Saul?! What's up with him? eek! but Hugh and George! haha imagine! i'd pay a hell of a lot of money to see that!
as for those complicated vampires... verrry interesting...
and before i forget... poor Nina! again!

  • Comment number 100.

How come in the scene with Mitchel and the chair, the chair was on plastic black sheeting of some kind. Expecting some kind of mess? *shrugs* don't know, but it kinda stuck out to me watching it. Getting him to go cold turkey, wonder why prepare for a mess? ^_^
