I don't know whether it's just me but did anyone else think that Lloyd's anger seemed a little fake at the start? It felt more like he was putting on a show for the camera than anything else. :( If he hurts George....

Begs the question WHY has Kemp invested so much in Lloyd?

Lloyd sounds a bit out of date? - George "planning" a transformation in the cage? they must be worried about not having a mike in there ? so is it Nina or Lucy that gets another one inside??

celticgrace - I was actually thinking what if they WERE in there? I thought it a bit odd that George explained the one frame per minute thing :-S figured there must be some reason he explained that?

eagle - yes I was getting confused - what did they know and how since they lost their mike?? and why dud George say that? maybe it's just him being clever?

I have three things to say about this video-

1. Why is it that no matter what Lloyd dose I still believe he is good and want to believe what he says?

2. I think he is losing it. Despite what he said I think he feels really guilty and is trying, unsuccessfully, to justifies things to himself.

3. The prise of progress is often to high. Nestle has given us锘� progress in the snack industry and their prise is killing babies in Less Economically Developed Countries (L.E.D.C鈥檚.) I boycott Nestle because sometimes the prise of progress is to high.

Good point about Nestle. The ends jusify the means is a common enough excuse but never a good one. In Lloyds case is rings particularly hollow as they CLAIM to be trying to help the type 3s, to cure them, and yet he was visibly upset when Lucy called a hault to the experiment on Nina which was going to kill her and teach them nothing useful at all. Notice how he denegrates his victims, 'werewolves', so it's not like they were people or anything, killing them wasn't murder. I'm sure it'll go right over Lloyd's head George being a werewolf AND Jewish.

p.s. picky realism thing, if he'd been a real geek scientist there'd have been cold coffee in those paper cups and a big mess on the desk when he knocked them down. Just saying ;-)

i don't like lloyd at all.... but have this deep down sense he might come good in the end..... on the other hand i think it might be lucy who comes good in the end.

george's language teaching last night was totally inspired! and the terets to boot was absolutely brilliant.... loved the notion of putting the wolf to sleep and the wolf raging within...

i also completely love the contrast between mitchell's interactions with the vampires and his home life - such stark contrasts.

I think that the chamber is one big "Killing Jar" and even if you looked at it from the "MAD Scientist" point of view, it doesn't seem to work. Been to Censsa and Lloyd's going on about "what a genius" Lucy is, well if the chamber was her idea... sigh...

I really liked (and I say "liked" in the past tense) but he's getting pulled along and making excuses for things that are morally sooo wrong. BAD Lloyd. AND why didn't they mike and camera the house when they went in to fix the "Supposed" gas leak... (Not that I wanted them to)

Good points, on the Nestle (Rebecca), Jewish(firebird2110) thing and I'm on the "Better not hurt George or Nina, Lloyd" camp. He'll gets some rather snotty messages on his youtube page.

One point, he's commenting about what we saw... "It's not my fault etc" does he know that their place is bugged or is he thinking that the ghosts of previous werewolves are watching him??? (Dunno if this'll kill my post...)

Well..back to discussing Being Human....

First up...having now watched eps 4 for the second time a few things to add to the melting pot in addition to my first..very excited..thoughts last night..
I did enjoy the threesome being more supportive of each other than in the previous episodes and found some of their scenes together touching as well as funny. I still think there was a huge contrats in Mitchell's attitude in the house between eps 4 and eps 3 ...he suddenly returned back to supportive Mitchell...which can't really be explained by just becoming King of the Vamps. Another writer and another change of 'feeling'.

BHteam..question for Toby...why did he not write all the episodes and how does he ensure continuity of his overall ideas with so many different writers?

Wondering about that sample of blood which Kemp referred to in the prequel...

Loving Ivan...thinking he becomes even more important to the storyline and that Daisy will somehow upset the applecart...

Eps 5..think Lucy and Mitchell will get it together and that this will cause Lucy even more reflection on what's she's involved with..can't see her staking Mitchell.

@ Rebecca I expect they have someone doing continual searches on the internet forlinks to any campaign sites. On blogs like this they can just hit "complain about this comment" and it will be taken offline at least until the mods have had a look at it. Killing babies in Africa isn't good PR and they'd rather people didn't know about it.

Meanwhile, back in BH-land and something Lloyd said. Where DOES CenSAA get its money from? He's right, all that equipment doesn't come cheap. The building, his and Kemp's living expenses, all of it. They always say if you want to know what's really going on follow the money.

ok...my first post since watching the eps last night...did enjoy it and found it touching, funny and with lots of explanations re Lucy involvement with Kemp.
Dorina: I'm sharing your thoughts that the change of Mitchell in the house was quite dramatic in contrats between eps 3 and 4....although I am glad that caring, supportive Mitchell is back....loved george leaping on Mitchell...( and thinking that Russell probably enjoyed leaping on Aidan..well..who wouldn't!)

Lucy will turn out to have a change of heart I think. Liked the Sykes character and he has been important to Annie's story...now we know it's unlikely she'll be visible again...but equally she doesn't want to be a spectator so..I'm sure her 'new adventure' gets revealed at the end of the series.....I HOPE it's nothing to do with Torchwood or Dr Who......please no! ...we have enough cros-over programmes..

George had so many funny lines and again Russell's acting superb throughout so many varied scenes and moods.

Yeh i loved the AA/Give up Blood meting.Man and I fell off the sofa laughing..!

Ep4 was fab! Best of series 2 so far for the proper housemate humour that involved all 3 of them, that was lacking slightly in other eps.
Best bits:
"Why do I suddenly feel like a **** (not sure if thats allowed, not swearing but still) in a swimming pool?
The "AA" meetings - I laughed but wasnt sure if that was desired effect?
The scene where G almost punched M - his laugh is SO cute.
And G&M in hospital with that drugged up bloke. They are SO gorgeous those 2!

Crazy New Theory!!!

If we assume that ghosts came have sex do you think they could have ghost babies? Vampires can鈥檛 have children because there body鈥檚 are dead. Werewolves should be abele to have children but we are not sourer if they would be werepups or not. Would it be possible for a ghost to have a baby that had never truly been alive? If this happened would the ghost baby grow up to be a man from behind the door?

Did i miss the part where it said that when you're a ghost you get a new body? I thought when you become a ghost you're frozen as you were at the point you died, hence why the clothes don't change, you don't ovulate (good point Eagle)and surely you can't do the naughties? Or am i on my own on that one?

Hi Eagle, I am trying to acquire some headies now, the bewilderment is killing me! No i haven't seen any babies or lucy developments or BA meetings - just making me look forward to watching it more. I get to go catch up on my planner tomorrow night!

I stupidly dislocated my knee when putting my wheelie bin out last wednesday, i can't fully bend my knee so parents though i might value the bungalow while it mends. The funny part is i did it an hour after coming home from Snow Tubing - without incident! lol.

Hi Celticgrace - Annie whispered in Owen's ear at the end of the series elaborating on M&G but we don't know exactly what she said. I think CENSSA knew of them and heard 3 types co-habiting and now they had 'found them' but weren't clear how they were interacting - which was the suprise.

Oh ouch! I know the feeling though - years of riding, kickboxing and a million falls every time I went ice skating as a kid lol and the main injuries I had? One when I got trampled by a horse so not even on the damn thing lol and another falling off a worktop lol! Always the way isn't it :-S

eagle + Devonshire, my strangest injury to date was breaking my arm. I was in year five and I tripped over the in playground. I had such a dangerous childhood. xD

I know - think someone is having a joke with me up there lol. I haven't injured myself this badly since i gave up trampolining.

Same here with injuries, never a broken bone my whole life until I mis-stepped getting down from standing on a chair, slipped and broke my foot, and in a way that is apparently a typical football injury too!

I am still also pondering as to how Kemp and Lucy found out about Mitchell, george andd Annie in the first place....they must have been looking for them...Owen merely pointed them in the direction of the house.
And I'm wondering how they found Owen?...insider in the police or hospital?..can't see tat the nasty Chief Constable would have done it...he's too interested in his own agendas

Maybe Kemp works with the psychiatric unit with the police and Owen got referred to him as 'mad' when he confessed. They all seem to have 'day jobs' in convenient fields of work.

Lucy is a doctor, M&G work at the hospital to be inconspicous, Kemp works within the psyc field i guess?

The thing that Annie whispered to Owen - nobody actually knows - when episode 6 first aired we all kind of assumed it was about the men with sticks and rope (a line from the pilot) but then Toby explained that its actually a lot cleverer than that lol and that nobody actually knows - not even Toby or Lenora or Gregg - the idea is that it's the scariest thing you could possibly imagine - but because thats different for everyone it's more effective when it's unsaid if that makes sense? Like in the show torchwood the idea is that there's just nothing after life - just darkness, but then sometimes it's hinted that there might be something moving out there but no one knows what - most people fear the unknown more than anything.

So I guess for someone the scariest thing would be that there's absolute nothingness whereas the next person might be more scared by being human's idea of the men with the sticks and rope etc...that make sense?

I always thought that when Mitchell explains about Richard Turner in the first series "he was a slave trader - killed maybe a thousand people and no on ever knew" The first thought was - he's in Bristol - he's just killing in the west country surely someone'd notice - then I kinda though 1000? Well considering vampires can live for 100s of years that doesn't seem that many lol we don't know how long he lived but theoretically if he only lived 100 years he'd only killed what one every month and a bit? :-S

Mbn, maybe Ivan fed but didn't kill, as Herrick's crew were doing in the last series (the people locked in the undertakers), or Ivan and Daisy feed from each other, as Mitchell and Lauren did?

Oh and about the "1 frame per minute"... erm... did anyone see the wolf's hand moving... it was fluent twitching... as in normal filming not the jumpy movement a 1 shot per min would produce... I noticed that at the time... but then got distracted by the george/mitchell hug, lol!

Anyone read the Guardian review, they are calling it the strongest episode yet. Would you agree?

The first two episodes were best for me, although it's all been good. There was more of Whithouse's dry humour in the first two, like George calling Mitchell "deadly furniture".

I'm sorry I missed a couple of episodes of series one now. One thing about the series really gets me though: the consistent mispronunciation of "werewolf", which I first heard in some places in _An American Werewolf in London_. It's definitely not "where-wolf", it's "weir-wolf" (or in Scotland, "whirr-wolf"). Were = vir = man. I told a werewolf friend of mine, and he thinks it's political correctness gone mad.

Oh and re: pronouncing werewolf, I think its only Ivan and Kemp that say it the "right" way as far as I remember. I think msot people including myself say the incorrect where-wolf way. Can't say it bothers me but I've never learnt latin.

yeah i say it "where" too I know it's not technically right i know but i only learnt that after years of saying it that way so kinda stuck lol

You'd think George would know these things, being the grammar pedant that he is, he might have looked a bit more into the derrivation of the name of his condition. Shame on him.
