Until the explosion, I thought yeah, episode a bit quiet, not much going on apart from the odd funny moment and LucyBF being a hypocrit (after having her wicked way with our vampire...ha!)...

This explosion...how many have been killed, who's left? I've a fair idea who one is but it looks like Ivan's copped it...or has he? And how come vampires can suddenly be killed by fire/explosions? Is this a new rule we've not yet come across...

Loving the line by Ivan "The way I feel now I could take out an entire branch of Argos"! lol....that was the line of the episode for me...classic...

Possible that Kemp thinks an explosion will kill vampires but no reason that he has to be right. It might be his first attempt at mass vamp killing. So far we've seen the classic stake in heart work and head ripped off by werewolf but nothing else.

I am a bit unsure now, we saw Ivan, that means he is alive doesn't it? But some people seem to think he's dead. :S

(30) Although Ivan must have thought they were in some danger to jump on Mitchell. I suppose it would do a fair bit of damage. Some vampires are very flammable, but I think if that were the case they'd all have been burning in that shot.
It'll be a bit of an anticlimax if they all stand up and brush themselves off completely uninjoured at the start of the next episode.

You can still become a Catholic priest if you're not actually married at the time you want to be one...you can have been married but I think can only become a Catholic priest if you're a widower, which Kemp was...I understand now why he went weirdy religious but he's completely flipped and gone bonkers...now thinks killing is fine as long as you kill the right beings, except they're the wrong ones because he's as bad/worse than the vampires etc he professes to hate..

Hope M is only injured because he'll get better pretty fast and then watch out LucyBF and co.!

When is this episode going up on iPlayer? Only its entry on iPlayeer implies that it won't be 'til Friday :S and a friend of mine missed it (SHOCK! UNSARCASTIC HORROR!).

Mitchell won't know that Lucy had anything to do with it though will he? Unless she feels guilty and tells him next week. He has no reason to believe she has anything to do with the bad guys, in fact I don't think any of them are even aware of the bad guys existence, except for Nina and she doesn't know they're bad!

Trying not to read any comments here as havn't seen tonights ep yet... so BHP can you please tell the peeps on iplayer that EP5 is NOT the last one that was on!!!

sorry guys a really disappointng ep for me - other eps had almost too much and this one too little. Annie's storyline was just boring and unfunny - if she wanted to resolve things with her mum she could have just visited her? George's story was slight and repetitive - and the dialogue with Moly wasnt credible. Still cant work out how Lucy has gone from researching evil genes to killing vampires en masse no matter if she is a religious nut in thrall to Kemp. Kemp's backstory was so obvious.
How many times did we have to see Lucy and Kemp praying? we get it? Then the real action was crammed into a couple of minutes (no room even for seeing how the CI's body was sorted)
But - great explosion and great vid - and Ivan's lines (and acting) just get better
sorry - had to get that off my chest - I'll have to watch again to see if I can calm down.

I can't believe I haven't watched it yet, and won't be able to until at least tomorrow (away on business), it all sounds so good (as usual). I already know the synopsis for next week, and will probably know the one for ep 8 tomorrow. It's so frustrating - I want to see it all now but don't want it to end. Can it go on forever please?!

(66) I agree with you on some level. It felt like everyone's story was just being moved on a few steps though I still enjoyed it it wasn't the best episode of the series.

Still the last 5 minutes elevated it and the explosion was so unexpected and exciting plus it gives us a bit of a cliff hanger over how many lived and died. There were some nice touches and bits of humour, probably one of the funniest episodes.

Ivan got some of the best with the Twitter and Argos lines. Plus the bit where he is giving out glasses of wine and says 'Just alcohol, none of the hard stuff, I'm afraid' made me chuckle. And I like that he really does love Daisy. :)

Next weeks episode defintiely looks like it will be great. Toby is back writing and its the penultimate episode. Bound to be exciting as we build up to the finale. Nina's back!:D

sori celticgrace i have to disapoiont you but i really enjoyed it. maybe lacking a bit of comedy but thought the story line with annie was sweet and truthfull and bringing the character back to the same girl in series 1. Maybe she could have gone to see her mum previously but she wouldnt have had someone to talk to her unless she used g or m but imagine how freaked her mum would have been for a stranger to seek her out and tell her her dead daughter was tring to contacted her. she was worried enough wen she went out of her own way to speak to annie.

Do think george is moving way too fast though. I know he wants to live his life but is this not a bit much. and to explain away every full moon wen your living with someone will be hard.
That molly knows something though!! they do say cildren can sence supernatual things though.

i agree rebecca i like ivan but then again i never really disliked him but in the last few eps ive grown 'fond' of him i think he is really honest and true with himself though wen faced with something he is uncomfortable with he struggles. e.g. wen george made daisy 'feel'. he didnt know how to do with that. he likes his place in the world and doesnt want that to change

George "we should get a dog" - sounds dangerous - would a dog be able to spot he was a similar species??

Michell is going to be angry isn't he, I mean really, REALLY angry when he finds out what Lucy did (he must find out eventually, right?). He was a bit of an idiot for trusting her but that's love for you and a love betrayed? Ouch! Recon he's going to kill her? That might push our understanding and forgiveness a bit.

Molly I figure isn't just sensitive because all kids are, I think the first picture we saw of her, dressed as a witch was a big hint that she has 'powers'. Probably why her mum has so little luck with men, Molly sees their true nature and drives them away.

Annie, I just hope she uses the aura sensing trick that Sykes taught her to warn her off Kemp and Lloyd.

George, I really really hope the clip at the end isn't misleading and he just says no, there is no cure, and walks away. Don't see that happening TBH and they are so tricksie with clips, but I'm going to cling to the hope.
