Oh what a shame it was deleted it was sooooo funny!...yeh...grab that umbrella Mitchell!...no I kinda understand why it wasn't used...it was too much like a rerun of the scene in the pilot when Mitchell and George first meet Annie in the house.
Anyway...science stuff to watch now...will be back later.but BHTeam...loved this ..thanks!

Shame this was cut, its only two minutes and I'm sure it would be great with the proper music added and stuff, I wondered why episode 8 was missing a prequel opening.

I only watched the pilot recently and it is certianly a bit strange to see this scene from the pilot shoe-horned into S2. the Mitchell and Annie in the pilot were slightly different characters and I really don't think this works well with the new versions.

It would only seem strange to us obsessives who have seen the pilot since it was broadcast, for everyone else it would be an interesting insight into a never before seen crucial moment in the lives of our characters.

Bit funny that now the people who do get to see us are us, who have already seen it in the pilot but oh well.

49 - i disagree, i feel RT has a lot more chemistry with AT and LC, and it shows through especially since they have duplicated the scene. But I'm an AT and LC supporter anyway so I'm biased!

think i am officially addicted, i can't stop re-watching this clip!! its a great little clip though - really gets all the aspects of the series in there with George all high pitched and indignant with his 'we've paid a deposit!'

This would never have worked as an opening to episode 8 ..that is...the final episode of series 2.....by that time the narrative had moved on and away from how the three met in the first place.

Can't see how it would have added anything to the ending of eps 8 either..by that I mean the section where Annie is in the tv....so ..the Producers know what they're doing regarding which bits to leave out.
On the DVD for series 1 there were also some deleted scenes...whilst funny ( well...one of them was) ...I could also see why they held no importance for the storyline and when there is so much to pack into 60 mins understand why they were dropped. I would expect that the DVd for series 2 will also have some deleted scenes...they may be the ones that BHProds are showing next week or they may be others..we won't know until DVD is released!

I did love the look here for Mitchell..all shades and 'casually' thrown scarf....he's had a few different scarf looks throughout series 2...check out the scene near beginning of eps 7 where he's talking to Daisy in the burnt out funeral parlour.

Am hoping that Series 1 and 2 are both going to be repeated before Series 3 starts...then we'll all be in for a treat...we can follow the whole thing right the way through...

Love this vid btw BH PROD TEAM...much better with Aidan and Lenora than with the initial two characters, although they were very good...there's more of a chemistry between these three than the initial trio...the comic bits are wonderful "I'm not stocky" (George)....Mitchell poking George with the umbrella...

61 - quite a lot of what we see in series one is Mitchell doing all he can to give George confidence but he was there to back him up if needed

The problem I have with it is that the dialogue fitted the old Mitchell (Guy Flanagan) who was very thin and lightly build and played the character as a remote, etherial type and the old George was the one who beat up his ex's new boyfriend, so calling George stocky and sending him in to do the 'physical' stuff worked. But with the new cast Aidan is the more powerful build and Russell has developed the George character to be a much more 'fussy' non-physical type. Plus including the cage dialogue from the pilot made even less sense as it made a nonsense of the ep with George suddenly thinking of buying a cage and Mitchell sounding dubious.

Not surprised they cut this....

George isn't stocky of course. Herrick, now him I'd call stocky.

might get series 1+2 box set when it comes out - i only have s1 recorded off the telly would be nice to see the extras.

moonwalker58....I'm agreeing with you in many ways although the dialogue is very different from that of the similar scene on the pilot. I guess they were trying to make links back to when the the trio first met as an opener to the final episode ( as it ended with the trio being separated) and the dialogue is much funnnier....but yeh..cage reference shouldn't have been in there.

Laurar..worry not...Sinead is filming Silent Witness this week and for the next few weeks..she will be joining the cast of BH in Cardiff at the start of filming whenever that is in late April

I really hope they put even more on the DVD than last time although there was a reasonable set of extras, I wish there were commentaries with the actors and writers and directors and more behind the scenes making-of stuff about the writing process. Am i being greedy here?
