THE DAY RUSSELL'S DREAM CAME TRUE

Post categories:

Garret Keogh, Online Editor | 15:27 UK time, Friday, 24 September 2010

Time to let you in on a little-known Being Human secret...

Once upon a time (August 2009 to be exact), Russell Tovey was up to his usual mischief on set and started chatting to the BH Blog team about action figures. It was his ambition to get a mini-Russell made, and he wanted the viewers' ideas for the design. So far so fun, but that's not the end of the story. What not a lot of people know is that Russell DID actually get a lovingly-crafted action figure made by Andi Mears the BH2 Costume Assistant and today we can reveal the never-before-seen pictures of Russell's dream come true...

George and his dolls

The gift was revealed in the final week of filming at the end of November last year.

The George side of the box

Russell was surprised and amazed by Andi's handiwork. The two figures came in an ingenious double-sided box, with one half dedicated to George the man and the other to George the werewolf. (Unconfirmed reports suggest it was a shoebox with the lid glued on the bottom).

The werewolf side of the box

Here's what the kit contained...
- Wolf doll complete with fangs and claws
- George doll complete with trademark specs and blue fleece
- Holdall for carrying transformation kit
- Tracksuit
- Spare trainers
- Bottle of water
- Bananas
- Chicken... on a string, of course.

As you can see Russell loved his gift...

...and that, dear reader, was the day Russell's dream came true.

thanks for the new blog post, and i would definetly buy these...DREAM COME TRUE FOR ME TOO ! mitchell and annie dolls ? :D

  • Comment number 2.

    Wolf doll is amazing. A+++

  • Comment number 3.

So how buff is the mini-George with its shirt off then?

  • Comment number 4.

    MADE OF WIN.

(I'm a bit stunned that there isn't already a mini-Alonso, tho. All those teeny-tiny Captain Jacks are lonely!)

  • Comment number 5.

Chicken-on-a-string also a nice touch. Good attention to detail. ;)

  • Comment number 6.

    Haha amazing attention to detail!!

I really want a wolf doll now: so good :D

  • Comment number 7.

    Hahahaha! The fleece!

  • Comment number 8.

Absolutely adorable....I remember when Russell said that he wanted his own action figure. I think they should be marketed & sold....you know we would all buy one.......thanks Mr P! You are working your usual Friday magic mwah x

  • Comment number 9.

Ahh Russell looks so sweet with his new toys

  • Comment number 10.

Wow! That's fantastic! Russell looks so happy! :D

Re the action figures: I was talking to the guy who owns the Sci-Fi Collectors Store in the Strand, and it turns out they are the people who comissioned and made the Torchwood and Merlin figures. He said they were still in negotiations to expand on the TW ones in the future, but when I said: "All I need now are some Being Human actions figures, then I can die happy", he replied that anything is possible.

Could this have been a not-so-subtle hint that there are indeed figures on the horizon?! :D

Thanks for the new blog Mr P! :)

  • Comment number 11.

Aw, thankyou Mr P! Russell looks so happy! x

  • Comment number 12.

Lol, I remember the blog post when Russell said he wanted his own action figure so he could play with himself!

  • Comment number 13.

OHhh the games he can play

The forest run walk the George doll along the path and have the werewolf chase him.

or if bored and some fake fur try to play a stop motion transformation between the two.
(that would be fun to see)

Oh have we seen the torso does it have five lines on the shoulder?

Oh tip-ex and yellow crayons for the eyes. after all no toy is truly played with until it's been vandalised - you can check it's a rule

  • Comment number 14.

    Hahahahahaha, LOL ^_^
    Nice one

  • Comment number 15.

Russell had a couple of action figures already done earlier this year by different fans. You can read about them on the Russell Tovey - A Star In The Making blog:

The one above though is more intricate.

Russell's dream of being able to play with himself has certainly come true and not only that but he can use both hands! lol

  • Comment number 16.

    O bless, that's adorable!!!!

  • Comment number 17.

Oh wow!! I bet he was so excited I remember the night he asked for one.
im so happy for him and i must say that little wolf doll is so cute I want one!
And the little change of cloths bag i hope its double bagged love it

  • Comment number 18.

I think they should start mass producing and main streaming them .:)

  • Comment number 19.

Looks a bit too much like a girl's 'Barbie and Ken' type doll than an ACTION FIGURE but... it is cute. Which I guess was the point.

The human version of George could do with a rounder face though. (I don't mean that in a nasty way.)

  • Comment number 20.

Aww this is so cute! :D
I love the chicken on a bit of string. But more to the point, where would you find a chicken that small?

  • Comment number 21.

Hi bloggers...is it me or does the George doll look a cross between Brains from Thunderbirds and Ken (as in Barbie & Ken)?..... sorry Russell....

Returned from a few days in Cardiff/Barry last night....spent time there with KC, Anglo and two lovely Barry ladies..@soozles_ and @hellschild17 Whilst taking pics at the new BH 'house' for series 3 we met someone who works on BH ..and to cut a long story short...ended up on the set of filming last Friday. We had already checked out that site on Thursday so we knew what was going on in terms of the filming. Unfortunately we weren't allowed to watch the actual filming on Friday as they said it was so pivotal to the end of the series...not putting up any spoilers here but we do know a few things related to BH3..if u want to know..and won't spread the word...message me on Twitter

  • Comment number 22.

Forgot the most important thing....met Lenora on set on Friday....despite her bereavement she was filming..in quite cold conditions....but generously gave up time to come and talk to us and have pic taken. We had some info that she was likely to be there so I'd got a sympathy card for her which I signed and also mentioned on behalf of all BH fans and bloggers. She seemed..to me..to be touched

  • Comment number 23.

Wonderful...good likeness, Andi, hope George/Russell appreciated it...you seemed to remember all the essentials for the transformation, chicken, change of clothes, etc...two things you didn't have...two plastic carrier bags..."always double-bag, George"!! Lovely though...did think about action figures recently...do the other three get any or is this a one-off?xx

  • Comment number 24.

New blog woo! BHP, your awesome!

And very cool action figures, loving the show box hehe.

  • Comment number 25.

Ah not good for me if you understood how my mind worked you would know how very bad the presence of such spoilers existence is to my fragile mind.

Admittedly major event in ep 6 not a surprise that was when the funeral parlour went Boom last series after all but now to understand my mind.

First I remember a lot and have this weird ability to be able to predict most plot lines.
In my youth I could when ill and watching daytime murder shows sometimes predict in the first 5 minutes who would die who did it and who would be the false suspect.
I was ill when I watched them so don't judge.

The spoilers are a pivot point as you said from which if I heard I could probably know much more of the plot in eps 1 -5 than I've guessed already and as I have a good memory I would very much remember.

    Temptation.

Then there is the fact that some of those who now know the spoilers might make a slip on the blog in January and reveal more than they should.

    Temptation

and then there is the overwhelming desire to know so please if I give in and ask on twitter at a later date please remind me of this and tell me no, please remember Tell Me NO.

    Lead us not into temptation

Also I'm glad to know that Lenora is coping.

  • Comment number 26.

And. And! Have you voted for BH on the NTAs yet?

  • Comment number 27.

that is so cute! I want one!

  • Comment number 28.

A difficult day for LC today Ewan, the funeral.

  • Comment number 29.

    Hello everyone

Firstly and most importantly,my deepest condolences for Lenora and her family, warmest of hugs and love for you.

LOL Dorina,Brains & Ken! A winning combination for sure, good looks and brains which our Mr Tovey has anyways :O))

Oh this is fabby,I hope they bring out a doll of all BH friends,I would be playing for hours and get no work done!! lol

    Hugs
    xx

  • Comment number 30.

(ps) The wolf toy is sooooooooo cute!
    :O)) I WANT ONEEEEEEE!..lol

  • Comment number 31.

O, and *hugs* to Lenora. :(

  • Comment number 32.

(21.Dorina) What is your twitter name? Im a huge fan and would love to go to the set =) x

  • Comment number 33.

    MsHorror...it's Dorina335

Just heard today that Robson Green is back on set...wasn't expecting that..thought he only figured in Block 1 not Block 3 as well....sooo maybe his character has something to do with climax to the series..or are they gearing him up to be also in the next series?

  • Comment number 34.

Dorina to that I have 2 options one to put my fingers in my ears and go Na Na Na spoilers not vague ideas resulting from vaguer information or,

Ivan appeared all the way through series 2 as did Daisy they were both major plot changers all throughout the series it's self.
Seth appeared in episode 6 in series one as well the point is that all you've revealed is that the major pivot point is not McNairs death something that if it does occur will - option one be Herrick regaining memories and his death to hide the fact Herrick is Herrick again or by his actions cause George or Nina to kill him in self defence.

there are probably more options but those are the most obvious to come to mind.

side note - Funerals are not the hardest time you can follow a script where to stand what to say or sing, it is the wake when you remember and find that your loved one is no longer there to join in the telling of the stories and correct you when they see you've made a mistake that hurts the most that has been the way for me at least. So that is where any support offered should be given and hopefully it was.

  • Comment number 35.

ewan....I have no idea about what will happen to Robson Green's character and saying he was back on set was not a spoiler.....we already know from info previously given by Phil (director) and Phil(producer) that some of the new characters introduced into series 3 will carry on into series 4....assuming that a series 4 gets commissioned. After conversations with certain members of the production team last week I'm more inclined to think that series 4 is being plannned...but you don't want spoilers so I won't talk about that.

  • Comment number 36.

Sorry about that assumption Dorina was a bit overly paranoid so far as spoilers concerned I'll try to level it down slightly in future.
No so far as spoilers are concerned accidental spoilers that occur are OK for me its the existence of obvious spoilers that are known about that in the wrong circumstance - lack of sleep etc. make me go a bit weird sorry for any miscommunication that this has caused

  • Comment number 37.

Ewan I actually like spoilers and they don't spoil my enjoyment of BH. Sadly though certain bloggers won't share spoilers with other bloggers.

  • Comment number 38.

While months away I can and do cope without spoilers as something that I would obsess about too much during the series. To put me on level pegging I devour spoilers good or bad to fill up the gaps between episodes it's just in the long drought between I find the less information I get the easier it is for me to cope.

It's the same reason I need to get drunk at regular intervals in time and blow off steam as otherwise I tend to get too into myself. It's the wonderful messed up way I have to look at the world.

  • Comment number 39.

Interesting how we all cope between series isn't it, rewatching episodes 1 and 2 over and over, scribblings, speculating etc, or just getting drunk. But not so long now so I'm sure I'll cope. Just surprised a mature blogger and huge supporter of BH isn't prepared to share spoilers with fellow fans and supporters of BH.

  • Comment number 40.

I don't know any excess spoilers apart from the ones disused on this blog and most of those are my guesses apart from what I have learnt from others on this blog.
Herrick with amnesia spending time in the new house.
the fact that there will be another new werewolf not just Robsen Green the fact the werewolves are a different breed to George and Nina.
    the threat coming from within.
Mitchell finding love and traversing Doorways to get Annie back. and getting aid in the form of Lacy Turner.
the fact that due to a photo I saw They are in a different hospital with different shade of scrubs for Nina, plus the white trainers are gone the ones in the photo I saw seem to be converse.
There is going to be a pretty big fight in the opening episodes as all three corporal members of the gang either by photos or in interviews again make a comment or show evidence of it.
According to Marcus's Twitter there is lots of blood denoting either violence or vampires possibly both and there was a bag marked body parts either one of our werewolves or the mythology of RG and friend werewolves killing vampires were responsible.
the increase in night shoots mentioned means either night shoots or Werewolf action. this could mean that the story line is longer than last series around three months or werewolf flashbacks.
the fact there will be a scene in a compound from what I saw will star Mitchell and Nina (based on shirt colour)
Wendy and Bob will either be human neighbours or defiantly in bobs case something to do with the werewolves.
from what I saw in a previous bog George and Nina do look to be invited round at some point.
Herrick at least used to enclose werewolves together to see them fight to the death and possible brutal mauling of the victor (Mitchell was with him till at least the 60's so was he ever involved in this?)
Annie visits an night club possible visibility - opinions vary on this.

That is what I think is known and theorised so far - from the blog only. if I had more information I would not have any time for myself as I would be working on other possible connotations that would be out there for me that is why I shouldn't even if I beg be given too many spoilers till the show is running not because I don't like to speculate or share what I know it's just what obsessive traits I have have to be managed or who knows how I'll be in January.

  • Comment number 41.

Cheers for sharing and bringing me up to date with what you know Ewan and your specualtions/theories. Nice to read them and contemplate.
There are definite spoilers about that a certain mature blogger knows from a visit to the BH set, but that blogger will only share with certain folk and ignores requests for info from others.
LC's father received a wonderful sendoff, some moving photos available of the funeral. It must have been a very emotional yet in a way heartwarming experience for mourners there.

  • Comment number 42.

if I am modded BHP please tell me what speculations not to speculate about on the blog or how precisely I messed up in what I put down as it would be helpful for me to know where the lines are if I want to avoid crossing them or what I did. it helps prevent occurrences in the future.

  • Comment number 43.

Ewan I'm amazed to see that you've been modded. there was nothing that deserved that, or was different to what has been posted in the past. I'm really puzzled.

  • Comment number 44.

At this moment it's only under consideration what precisely that means is that BHP saw something they are going to check out after all otherwise it's a note about responding to a complaint what it was that was seen that concerned BHP in the first place I would like to know as I thought I was being very careful and not in anyway talking about things that haven't already been on the blog if I'm wrong knowing how would help.

  • Comment number 45.

Ewan your post was just like many other posts in the past. I'm really at a loss to understand why it was modded.

  • Comment number 46.

For the record...and all other bloggers who have contacted me on twitter will testify...I have revealed all spoilers I know but via the Direct Message service on Twitter as I feel it not appropriate to do so on this blog. There are many people besides Ewan who don't want to hear any spoilers and I respect that.
It is unfortunate that one individual who didn't get an immediate response by me on twitter ( as she doesn't show on my timeline as I don't follow her) chose to make rude remarks rather than attempting to contact me again. That is all I have to say on the matter except to repeat the offer I made in post 21 to all other bloggers.

  • Comment number 47.

Deadlysecret - I also saw what you said about me when I came back from Wales...can I just say (and I believe Dorina feels the same) that had you just asked nicely I would've told you the spoilers I found out but we can hardly go posting things on the blog/twitter but I would have emailed you/direct messaged you on twitter...and as I said I think D would have done the same. I don't think there's any need to be making snidey remarks...

  • Comment number 48.

eagle_eyes this may come as a shock to you but if you check I don't follow you on twitter, don't stalk you and don't read your tweets and have no wish to. I didn't even know that you had spoilers or I would have asked you like I did Dorina.
If I don't follow you, and you don't follow me, then I'm at a loss to understand your last blog. I think you need to get your facts, or tweets straight.

  • Comment number 49.

By the way dunno if I commented on this page - don't think so but loving the doll...sorry...action figure :-P it is a thunderbird isn't it?! Love the little fleece! :-) hope that has pride of place in Russell's flat lol

  • Comment number 50.

I wish to make one last comment about what was said last night in 46 and 47, as this morning I received DM's on Twitter from friends that upset me and which concern the blog.
I've posted on here regularly, joined in conversations, never been modded, I am vice president of the BH 6th form club at my school, and as a teacher I've recently after a great deal of persuasion taken on the responsibility for child protection cases at my school.
This morning I received DM's to say that a certain group of ardent Bh fans because I said they wouldn't forward spoilers, and because I refused to apologise to Dorina's demand for an apology(she questioned my role as a teacher, I didn't ask her for an apology) are going to get everyone on the blog to ignore me so that I'll go away like Hercule.
This I find incredible, hurtful and upsetting. It's never been my intention to cause problems on the blog and I don't intend to do so, but their plans to have me ignored are upsetting to put it mildly, so much so that I actually should be at school now but am sitting at home posting this blog.I need to go now.

  • Comment number 51.

This comment was removed because the moderators found it broke the house rules. Explain.

  • Comment number 52.

I was just going to thank Laurar for her support and now her reply has been modded, just like Ewans reply to me was modded.

  • Comment number 53.

Afternoon, hi! Hope all is good! Isn't it nice and sunny outside (well at the moment).

Can we just go back to good old speculating and having a laugh about stuff? Ewan, can you say, throw me theory about any flashbacks you'll think will happen or anything playing on your mind. I've just realsied it's almost October which is mental cause when it was January, it seemed such a long time till S3!

And Laurar - how's it going? Not spoken to you in while haham, my twitter chats have been very lazy of me!

  • Comment number 54.

Okay I can either give you one or two flashback theories.

1 - We would all die a little inside if we thought for a moment there wouldn't be a Herrick doing the full Herrick with Mitchell. explaining how things really are with a reference to Darwin so if we have to wait for him to remember I don't see that coming.
    So there is one theory
2 - We will have to see at least the surroundings of the 'sick thing vampires did to werewolves' will this involve McNair (RG) I don't know.
or the two combined as one Herrick maybe commenting as a human he watched dog fights but this is more fun who knows.
one or two theories as promised.

As to the argument going on I know it may seem cowardly but "when Women fight men have no comment." is the phrase I will employ

  • Comment number 55.

    Ewan there is no argument.

Did you ever find out why you were modded? It was only speculation.

Has 'Herrick' been on set for much of the filming? i just wonder how much he will actually be in it.

  • Comment number 56.

Wonder if we'll get a cheeky peek at the cast/crew DVD interviews? I hope so would love a new video soon :-)

  • Comment number 57.

[54] Yeah, surely we will see flashbacks to the old Herrick and Mitchell days; there's so much to choose from like, how they know Ivan. Maybe we'll find out a little more about Herrick considering (at least I think) there will be some focus on what on earth happened to Herrick when he 'came back'.

We also don't know that much about the werewolf history so I'm looking forward to viewing that background. I've been wondering if they age normally, or are they slighlty immortal in that sense?

I still would like to know more about Annie's powers. They always mention it but, nothing really comes about it.

Oh that was awfully serious of me. Will have to add a Haham to that hehehe.

  • Comment number 58.

Oh yeah EE that would quite good, hint hint :)

  • Comment number 59.

So am I right in guessing that you want a non serious flashback that also sets the scene of a possible episode possibility.
    here goes.

start off with a random werewolf waking up looking for their 'double' bag of kit hearing something Oh no it's day trippers between them and their kit. running round them but one of them finds the kit and is showing it to the others in the party. hilarity ensues as the werewolf tries to retrieve it that werewolf then is shown meeting George and Nina.

a note about the werewolf ageing - in my scribbles I suggesting something called 'slowing' they age slower than humans because of the general changing and changing back slowing down the degeneration of DNA. this was in answer to thoughts when Nina s2 e2 says when George comments on her smoking.
"Besides you've done more to shorten my life expectancy than these ever could."
    My thought was that either
    1. all she knew about werewolves came from George who tried to know the bare minimum about his condition. Mitchell a vampire who wouldn't know much but would have seen them killed a lot by vampires, and Annie whose knowledge came from Buffy.
or 2. the fact that the world she is living in now is violent and hazardous to her continued health.

also not modded or back on the blog yet any heads up on -40- BHP it would abate my paranoia over what I did or came close to doing that might have alerted the moderator attention can I get a hint about that - or not I can stew for a while longer I guess.

  • Comment number 60.

third the idea of a new vid soon EE - DGTTD

Also enjoyed the insramental scrubs vid you did EE does this mean your back vid wise or are there still kinks to work through?

  • Comment number 61.

Oh that could be interesting, but I will set for serious too.

On the aging werewolf thing, I really can't figure it out. Because, transforming seems like such a violent physiological change, wouldn't that shorten life expectancy? But maybe the DNA make up is altered and so they don't age? So many questions haha.

  • Comment number 62.

A degeneration of DNA would be an interesting thought. but here is a point there are changes when they're human again their senses are refereed to Annie in s 1 ep 2

George : this thing happens, and it's a million miles away
Annie : but it's not though your senses
not to sure about the quote accuracy for George.

    s2 ep 8
George : that little guy he stank of adrenalin couldn't you smell it
Nina : can't tell one smell from another yet I think everyone stinks.
still not sure on Georges line.

now both these comments hint that there has been a fundamental shifting of their respective DNA. now whether this had a derogatory or positive result on their life expectancy we don't know or at least haven't been told speculation is the only thing we can do till we get told and as this next season is more werewolf centric we can hope to find out.

  • Comment number 63.

    Hello bloggers!! Including DS :)

Loving this blog BHP- so are these gorgeous dolls going to be mass produced & put on sale to the general public....? ;) Well done Andi anyway. I think they're great, I would definitely buy one!

  • Comment number 64.

    Hello fellow bloggers ...
Can I just start by saying.. oh my.. this doll is officially amazing! Russell must be so proud!! I'm so happy for him lol! "Go Russell, Go Russell" :D

Also, I seem to have missed a LOT while I've been away.
Obviously, this is the first time I've been on the blog in a long, long while, due to personal reasons and what have you, and it's a huge shame to see emotions running high once again. Seems to be a lot of tension. I don't want to drag the 'dispute' on any longer than it needs to be, but I do feel that every member of this forum have the right to express their views, however late they may be!
I know that everybody can't get on with everybody else.. thats just a part of life and society, however, it is upsetting to think that people will be deliberately rude, and try to 'rule' the others, by attempting to alienate other members of the forum. Instead of acting in a negative way, and upsetting other members, wouldn't it be better if everyone just got on with their own stuff, and let others carry on? We have had a few disagreements before, and its always worked out best if we all do our own thing, without being rude or being overly defensive. We are all here due to our fairly obsessive nature of BH lol, why can't it stay that way?!

Sinead tweeted earlier which you most probably saw, saying that we all need to try and get along. It really shouldn't be that difficult. We are all adults after all. Instead of trying to make people feel excluded and alienated, lets just try and make this blog back into what it once was? Somewhere we could all go to to have a laugh and speculate.

Hope everyone is well anyway :)

Wisdom from LBH - never leave again! x

  • Comment number 66.

Hello Ginger-Red :-), hello Laurar and a big hello to LBH, so good to see you back on the blog.Hope you're going to stay here forever.
Hello to any others bloggers out there. Right meeting to go to.

  • Comment number 67.

Ewan [54] - Just love the phrase "Doing the full Herrick". Now (ponders), how can I drop it into casual conversation today?

  • Comment number 68.

Hey Laurar and DS.. how lovely to have such a nice welcome.. and Laurar actually referred to me as wise... wow, thats a first! I will try and make sure I come on more regularly, just to appease you both ;) Glad to see you have both been behaving :) xxx

PS - hello GR, shall we place our order for the magnificent doll at the same time?! xx

  • Comment number 69.

Hello again everyone, long time no type.

Didn't get chance to mention this yesterday, but Russell Tovey was on Richard Bacon's Ö÷²¥´óÐã Five Live show.

I switched on the car radio at about 3.05pm, just as he was being introduced; so, if you want to iPlayer it, the part you need will be an hour into the show.

And I must do that myself, because I had to leave the car at 3.15pm, just as talk turned from Him & Her to Being Human.

  • Comment number 70.

    Good morning lovely bloggers!

Deathrattle, I would love to be a fly on the wall at that conversation, hehe :D You must let us know how that goes....

Yes LBH, we must badger BHP for immediate production of this doll & of course an Annie, Mitchell & a Nina doll too & then we will place orders for the full set together immediately!

  • Comment number 71.

Hello everyone again. Having read some of the comments here I just wanted to say that when I first posted on this blog a few weeks back I mentioned how this must be one of the best-natured blogs on the internet. Yes, everyone gets ratty from time to time but it is for the most part a very good read, full of warmth and humour. Long may that continue!
Back to matters BH, there is a short blink-and-you- miss it clip of AT in Hattie on the Ö÷²¥´óÐã new drama showcase vid (about 30 seconds in). The rest of the new autumn/winter drama looks fabulous too so it's well worth checking out.

    Hi everyone.

Have been a member of this blog community for over a year now and it pains me to read some of the things here, written about people I personally know and have met, and don't have a problem with at all.

It used to be such a great place to be and it would be a huge shame if one or two people are misreading what others say/write...Sinead, you were quite right to comment on Twitter last night, and I totally agree with you. Please can we start having fun again instead of this unpleasant stuff?

  • Comment number 73.

Double-bagged and Lurve_BH (64): Welcome ladies...you are so right and I'm backing you totally.

Lurve_BH: Great to see you back...sorry you've not been able to be on of late, hope everything's OK with you hun. Keep well....there's no way I'm staying off the blog!! Remember the fun we used to have?.. I want some more of that in the run-up to the new series! Think we all need to spread a little of the BH lurve rather than the unpleasant stuff!xx

  • Comment number 74.

    Hear, hear anglo.
I have just followed Frostmaiden's suggestion and listend to RT on Richard Bacon's show and was amused to see that, following an incident with spilt water and a subsequent unintentional expletive from Russell, the podcast carries an 'adult material' warning! So easily done - and he was brilliant too, very assurred and articulate. Not much to report re BH3 except that the Guardian's assessment that it would be 'all out bonkers' is, not surprisingly, rather wide of the mark...

  • Comment number 75.

Doublebagged: Welcome..and thank you for your comments! I never did hear the RT glitch but intend to listen in at some point if it's still around..BH3 all out bonkers?...surely not! hehe xx

  • Comment number 76.

Happy Friday everyone :-) would now be a good time to bring up the vampire orgy again? Lol always seems to ease the tension :-) and when do we get to see the Mitchell, Annie and Nina dolls? Hehe Aidan, Lenora and Sinead might not want them as much as Russell wanted his but pretty sure we'd all love to see them! :-P

  • Comment number 77.

Ah good the fight / quarrel / disagreement seems to be at an end it was making the blog most unfriendly for a while.

and good idea on change of subject EE it was getting to the point I'd be trying out a new Limerick to relive tension. Nobody wants that.

still there is one thing it has been nearly 48 hours and I still don't know if I'm to be modded or not for -40 can I get a hint is the one who has finial say away for a week or am I going to have to wait for a new blog to appear and never know. Sorry if this seems a bit much but the tension is quite high for me and tickling the back of my mind whenever I check the blog.
So here is a deal if it exceeds 48 hours just mod me rather than this unbearable will they wont they.

  • Comment number 78.

Action dolls of them all would be great, but I'd also like a BH calendar.

  • Comment number 79.

Eagleeyes: (76) Evening, or it soon will be...hope blog returns to normal now..

Vampire orgy...hmmm, what tension would that be releasing, now? The sort I'm thinking of would be heightening, not calming lol

Oh, Mitchell in his 60's gear...

  • Comment number 80.

WOW !they look great i bet russel loved them :)!!!!
    i would buy one :)

  • Comment number 81.

he he theres even a tiny chiken a string!

  • Comment number 82.

Woo! People back on the blog again, everything all good?

They really should make action figures for the other guys hehe.

  • Comment number 83.

82 yeah theres loads of people on the blog :) im just popping in and out in the midst of doin homework

  • Comment number 84.

Ah the joy of homework. Good times hehe

  • Comment number 85.

    Hi bloggers,

Phew, glad to hear that a limerick by Ewan has been avoided.... ;)

Aw, I hope BHP are taking note of all these requests for a full set of action figures & of course the BH calendar. I NEED these! So if the George figure comes with a chicken on a string etc, what will the others come with? Obviously Annie needs a kettle...

Angelo, we really don't mind an increase of that sort of tension!

  • Comment number 86.

It's as if you didn't like my limericks.

Still the rule is this any hint of feud argument discourse on the blog and I promise I will Limerick all parties into apologising to each other and oaths decide to never attack each other again.

    Be told.

  • Comment number 87.

This is my first post to this blog. I follow the tweets as well, in fact, the attempt to stay on top of this show is what drove me to sign on to twitter. I'm now "twitterpated" with no rehab in sight. I have been encouraging all my friends to check out this show, (we cheat and use youtube, yes, Canadians cheat ;);)), becuase it's the MOST intelligent show I have ever had the pleasure of watching that involves vamps/werewolves. They've all converted and now have the utmost disdain for glitter. I really, really hope the rumors aren't true that I have to wait until March/11 for season 3. On the other hand, it might just help to get me through these blasted winters.

  • Comment number 88.

    Hi There,

Long time since I last posted. Love the little wolfie doll.

For you BH character watchers, I've just been to see the Rory Kinnear "Hamlet" at the National Theatre. The cast includes "Josie" (Clare Higgins) as Gertrude and "Saul" (Alex Lanipekun) as Laertes. Both very good.

  • Comment number 89.

Howdy everyone, its brilliant to see some new and old bloggers around. Hope everyone has a grand weekend - maybe next week we'll have a new blog to talk about. Am I right in thinking we are back to just getting them on a friday now?

  • Comment number 90.

Hello everyone, especially bloggers who haven't been around for a long time and newbies.
Laurar...can't thing hat BHProductions have much material left and I think that the interviews from last week's visits to Cardiff are mainly for DVD and then when BH3 is being aired. Mr P off to Cardiff next week i think so maybe new blog post later next week?

Only one more week's filming left..gone so quickly..for us and the cast/crew I imagine as well. at some point they'll film the trailers for series 3..may already have done so for all I know...can't wait for those...the trailers for series 2 were fantastic

doublebagged..bit puzzled by the Guardian article you refer to...have they done a write up on series 3 already?....if so they must have seen preview clips

  • Comment number 91.

There are many things that could be used for future blogs is of course 'looking back on series 2' each of the four getting their journey shown in 5 minute bits.

compilations - heroic / heart breaking / joyous / life affirming / scary

interviews with the crew behind the scenes that have hopefully been saved up over the trips to Cardiff

if there is a fortnight between fresh blogs I can see us easily lasting till January so unless there's another week after this one I am not worried about a lack of new information.

  • Comment number 92.

Hi Dorinna, Really nice to talk to you again.
The Guardian article referred to in the chat on R5 with RT,was a brief blog about what might be coming up in series three, posted by Dan Martin I think last June. If you didn't see it then, here is a link:

  • Comment number 93.

Ewan wasn't a law passed forbidding you from ever posting a limerick again? :-)
Laurar I'm thinking that surely next Friday the last day of filming there will be a new blog.

  • Comment number 94.

Don't fight no Limerick fight and you know the consequences.

Also still waiting for the BHP ruling on my post I'm really concerned now what did I do that warrants so much careful consideration and did I type it or not?

    please tell me.

  • Comment number 95.

    Hey all,
Just quickly popping on (just for you DS and Laurar :P)
Hope you're all good. What is this forbidden limerick law... I have to say it sounds intriguing!
Can't believe it is the last week of filming... blimey, where has the time gone? I remember weeping about how long we would have to wait until S3... how exciting.
GR - we shall collect all the dolls, this shall be our mission. Though we should make sure that they are willing to make Nina, Annie and Mitchell too of course. Am loving DS's calender idea...
I still can't get over how chuffed Russell is, dreams really can come true... bless him!
Hey Anglo, thanks for the re-welcome! Hope you are well also

  • Comment number 96.

Awww shucks LBH, you're too kind. Just think last week of filming but now nearer to seeing S3 in Jan, very exciting. I really want a BH calendar, surprised one hasn't been produced.

Ewan can't you contact them and ask--is there any way? I said before that I couldn't see anything wrong with what you said-it is strange.

  • Comment number 97.

I was only pulling your leg, Ewan, you can limerick away as far as I'm concerned :D You didn't have a limerick in your modded post did you...?

Interesting article doublebagged, just hope they're wrong about S3 being the final series. (Although I'm not going to harper on about that Ewan, before you say anything!) I like the use of the phrase "gallivant round purgatory" - sounds almost like fun.

  • Comment number 98.

You'd be the only one to like the limericks GR and no the not yet modded

The post was a collection of theories on the new series that have been shown on the blog and some of those discovered facets had more than one possibility so I put the variant possibilities down as well and for some reason it has has been under review for over three days. No decision has yet been made on the posts future.

Yes that is a great phrase,

  • Comment number 99.

Doublebagged (71) Just checked out that link to Ö÷²¥´óÐã Four future dramas coming up....cracking line-up! Saw that brief link of AT as John Schofield...he looks so different with that hairstyle. Couldn't quite hear that much of the accent because of the short scene they put up but John Schofield was from London or the South-East. Will have to keep an eye out for it. It's good to see he's taking more diverse roles. Thanks for the link!xx

  • Comment number 100.

Doublebagged....thanks for link...I was away in June so missed that article. I'm fairly certain the plan is to have a series 4...however....it will all come down to viewing figures and Ö÷²¥´óÐã cutbacks as to whether or not Lord Toby gets commissioned to do so.

Anglo...hi there..I'm going to be interested to see Aidan's London accent in Hattie...even more interested to see he actual production which I think will go out this autumn
