A NEW HOME FOR BEING HUMAN

Post categories:

Garret Keogh, Online Editor | 14:29 UK time, Tuesday, 11 January 2011

Annie, Mitchell, George and Nina have a new home in series three and we wanted one too, so welcome to the brand new Being Human website.

Have a root around and check out the new character profiles, series histories and the never-before-seen artwork that runs throughout. The background shot is the attic from the new house, a room that plays a major role in the second half of the series. But that's all we'll say for now.

We've added quotes, and your comments to the homepage because, well, I guess it's just because we love you. But before this gets too mushy, let's cut this ribbon and declare the new site OPEN. We look forward to sharing our excitement, joy, laughter, despair, fear, grief and all those other gut-wrenching Being Human emotions within its pages.

Look out for additional character profiles as new faces pop up in the series, and continue to check the mighty Being Human Blog for all your news, videos and updates.

And tell us... what do you think of the new site?

Loving the new site, the new artwork looks amazing and it's nice to see Sinead given a bit more prominence on the site. You're doing a great job to build excitement for the new series, as if it could be any higher!

  • Comment number 2.

I have just logged on and found the new site which has got me all giddy again!! We are being spoilt, something bad is going to happen i can feel it coming...

  • Comment number 3.

Love the new look site (it's very black isn't it?) though it confused me terribly at first. Hubby had to point out the like to the blog for me! Still no date!? C'mon we're nearly half way though January now...

  • Comment number 4.

    Love the new site :)

Absolutely dying for the new series!

  • Comment number 5.

All very new and exciting new colour scheme layout everything now here is a thing.Nina has her own Character page now HELL YEAH.
but still no prequel shame but please how about it I'm sure that one could be written - really go check out the Character pages you get so much more now.
will now be checking the site to see what else is new.

One small question the banner at the top when will that be season 3 is it a waiting for first broadcast date thing? if so please ignore last question.

  • Comment number 6.

WOW! Brill, love the new site...its alot easier to find stuff! Can't wait for the Series 3 stuff to appear!

  • Comment number 7.

The new layout looks brill! And the character pages are fab, great job!

Happy dance...and you know what will make me happier, an air date!

  • Comment number 8.

[5] the banner at the top is series three on all the other bits of the site apart from this isn't it.

Also Ewan your slipping! your normally first comment and this is the second time in a row

  • Comment number 9.

Ridiculously excited now. Loving the revamp (!)
You just keep spoiling us - please don't stop.

  • Comment number 10.

Whoa Just got back from skimming round the new site the banner is changing excellent now is the brown used for a reason
Earthy back to their roots werewolves that is what are werewolves etcetera
Is it the shame shade as one of the walls in the new house?
Are there other reasons to ponder? should be fun.

  • Comment number 11.

2 blogs in 2 days is this hinting that we may get a date this week?? if so YEY!

  • Comment number 12.

Also forgot the interesting new blog layout very nice.

  • Comment number 13.

[11] I just realised that!! Maybe we'll get a blog tomorrow aswell?

  • Comment number 14.

too excited! love the new look site, but (along with everyone else) I want a start date. Saw the TV ad again yesterday - re-news my excitement every time.

  • Comment number 15.

I love this new layout, it's great! Only, it's added to the excitement that is already bursting from every vein in my body and if we don't get the new series soon...I think I might explode.

  • Comment number 16.

Well Annie, I hope so...But they might be very mean and not blog for a couple of days...But I doubt it BHP are very nice people.

  • Comment number 17.

Oh yeah...just remembered, I keep seein the advert on Ö÷²¥´óÐã3 every time I tune in I see the ad. Its on every night so they are advertising is highly which is brill!

  • Comment number 18.

Looking closely it is indeed the wall of the new house that it is brown. Now here is a question which room I'm wondering and will hopefully solve.
I'm going to look back to find out now - do you think it's the Attic?

  • Comment number 19.

it says someewhere that is is the attic or am i making that up no i have seen it somewhere

I saw the advert last night and staring jumping up and down screaming. My flatmate was not pleased

  • Comment number 20.

Oh Im pathetic...Every time i see it i nearlly hyperventalate (cant spell big words) but yeah i get soooo over excited! *jumping about excitiedly*

  • Comment number 21.

Can't find out what room if anyone knows please tell I can see what looks to be a blue Sofa or chair there. Is this the second poster by the way does being human have the full picture some where I sense another internet journey.

Still think it's the Attic as that is supposed to be very important this season.

  • Comment number 22.

[21] This is what is says 'The background shot is the attic from the new house, a room that plays a major role in the second half of the series. But that's all we'll say for now.'

[22] oh i'm like that if I hear anything that remotely relates to BH

  • Comment number 23.

All this time messing around checking the new site and I forget to read the blog but still work out it's the attic. I'm not to sure whether I should like that about myself or not.

  • Comment number 24.

Great new site: colours, fonts, images, simple navigation.

    Well done, BP!

    And agree with (1) aprilamy, pitch-perfect build-up to BH3.

    x

  • Comment number 25.

Wow what a change for the better, but it takes some getting used to after using the old design for so long, but nice one.

  • Comment number 26.

    Wow this blog moves fast!

Only just got round to reading the rest of the comments on yesterdays article (because did I mention? THIS BLOG MOVES FAST!) so thanks to all you lovely bloggers for the welcome! Will look forward to chatting with you all!

  • Comment number 27.

26 - Ah aprilamy, we love welcoming new people. I can only apologise for the inanity of Annie, Lycan and my blogging last night if you read through that. Annie and I were being all unwelcoming with our chocolate coding... if I write about chocolate, I would say 65% of the time I mean Mitchell. Jam is BH Annie, not Blog Annie. It's a weird world I live in, but it mainly revolves around food. Meat and dairy. that's me. Oh and essays. Damn those essays. Speaking of which...

  • Comment number 28.

Whoa! the blog just made me wait a certain amount of seconds before it let me start writing again! Is that new? It was enough seconds for me to lose my train of thought and everything... oh yeah...

All I wanted to say was well done BH web team. All looks good to me and I am not good with change so that is high praise. I will have a nosie once essay is done. Looks like you've been working seriously hard and excitedly so give yourselves a pat on the back and go out for a drink tonight!

  • Comment number 29.

Oooooh! It's so shiny and new and exciting!!! I need to have a proper explore... I particularly love the new pictures and the intriguing first image from Becoming Human! :)

I really hope the new series starts soon! Really, REALLY soon! When it does though, I hope it comes up on iplayer ASAP because I don't have a TV at Uni and won't be able to watch it otherwise :( Hopefully the blog will still be active with discussions afterwards...

Also, whenever the Attic is mentioned, I keep thinking of the Sarah Jane Adventures. Then again, I do have a very one track mind. No chance of a crossover is there? Somebody hiding in the Attic? A super computer to track down other supernatural life? No? Ah well, it was worth a try ;)

Welcome to all the new bloggers, by the way! :)

  • Comment number 30.

no that seconds countdown is new. this is seriously cramping my style... have you gone all anally retentive and George on us blog?!

  • Comment number 31.

Wow! I love the new site. It's just soooo much better now.

I love the new character bios (although I haven't actually read them all yet) and the blog videos that are attached with them, which makes them really easy to access.
It's a great intro for people who are new to Being Human too. I reckon there'll be quite a few new fans for series 3 and they'll want to catch up with the last two series. I've been doing my bit trying to get more of my friends to watch (by boring them endlessly!!)

    Thankyou!

    xx

  • Comment number 32.

Forgot to add a big thank you to Mr P and BHProd for all the lovely treats they've been giving us recently! *hands over a crate of Party Rings in thanks* :D

  • Comment number 33.

Oh, and I see that one of Anglo's quotes has made it on to the front page:

"And he thought he was CAMP???? Hello? What planet is this man on..."

I wonder if she's seen it yet.....

  • Comment number 34.

joooos [33] - I noticed that! A great quote! :D I'm sure it will be a great birthday surprise! :)

  • Comment number 35.

33 - Hi joooos! yeah, I was so happy for anglo - that was exciting. I am never witty enough to manage anything like that!

  • Comment number 36.

The new site is so cool!!! I love that Sinead gets more recognition on the new site! I can't wait till we get a date!!!

  • Comment number 37.

WR(not world rugby) I think we are slighlty insane last night took an unusual turn

the second waiting thing isn't new i think it's just a longer wait.

    Jam?

  • Comment number 38.

    Hi Piratemoose and Warwickshire Rose!
I wonder if the quotes will be changed on a regular basis? If it's the case, I hope Anglo's stays for a while! I wonder if her ears are burning!

79Sars: You've just reminded me that I forgot to mention how pleased I am that Sinead finally gets the recognition she deserves.

  • Comment number 39.

Beautiful! Like the cast of the show. Seriously BHP you've played a blinder here! Thank you for all of the work you put into the blog for us nutters - we love you for it, xx

  • Comment number 40.

Hi joooos and other lovely bloggers! Hope everyone's well :)

A random observation - when you scroll down to the very bottom of this page, on the left hand side there's something on the floorboards. Is is a knocked-down train set? Perhaps it's supposed to symbolise the Box Tunnel incident??

  • Comment number 41.

[40] so there is! I hadn't seen that

  • Comment number 42.

    40. Piratemoose - you're brilliant! I'm sure it does symbolise the Box Tunnel carnage. We will all be scouring pictures for other hidden meanings/jokes now. The child's hobby horse I saw somewherre else in the attic anyone?

  • Comment number 43.

Is that a hand under the bed to the left? Creepy. Whose is it?!

  • Comment number 44.

    A hand?

  • Comment number 45.

Eeeek! Sorry Annie (love the name by the way), I mean on the home page, beside Georges quote. Unless I actually am seeing things...

  • Comment number 46.

This comment was removed because the moderators found it broke the house rules. Explain.

  • Comment number 47.

Thank god I'm not going crazy then! Is it Herrick sneaking under there?

  • Comment number 48.

hmmm a good theory. maybe it's the whole thing with exploring pasts and it's a demon from someones past?

  • Comment number 49.

Also, on the character profile part - the bit about Nina and her abusive ex - is this the first time it has been confirmed? Wasn't it just speculation by bloggers as to what had happened to her?

  • Comment number 50.

Not necessarily a demon maybe just a ghost?

  • Comment number 51.

I've finally got round to actually posting something on here rather than just reading it :D mainly because I think everybody in my house is probably sick of me going on about BH3!! And isn't the new series coming some time in february? Just read an interview with Russell in Glamour and it says "this month" which could mean january but its the february issue...oh dear :L Love the new site by the way, very atmospheric :)

  • Comment number 52.

49 - More speculation about what was used two quotes nade it an ex boyfriend
To Mitchell 'Don't worry your not my type, not any more' bad relationship with a charming man
To George 'Peoplle can be (illigitamatly born) that's all you need know'

  • Comment number 53.

should be 'made it an ex' of course M and N are too close together

  • Comment number 54.

    [50] Maybe

But what she said to george didn't necessarily mean ex-boyfriend it could have meant anyone

  • Comment number 55.

54 - that was why I included the quote made to Mitchell

  • Comment number 56.

52 - yeah but it was never explicitly stated though. I dont know, it was a big talking point on here - I thought it would've been revealed on-screen really

  • Comment number 57.

it might be yet in more detail?

  • Comment number 58.

Jac_E [42] - *blushes* Thank you! :) I think I spent too much time on Ashes To Ashes fan websites; everything [and I mean EVERYTHING] was analysed and found to hold significance in some way or another. Also, it's fun to interpret meanings in things :)

I'm off for another explore to see what other hidden stuff can be found... :D

  • Comment number 59.

57 - I hope so. It would add a lot more depth to her character to find out why she is the way she is with Mitchell

  • Comment number 60.

Okay the third quote made to George in episode 8

'I've never exactly been lucky in love' there a third quote of conformation

  • Comment number 61.

    ewan I believe you ok?

Laurar definitley although she's a really good strong character we don't know much about her before she became a werewolf it would be really interesting to find out more about then

  • Comment number 62.

Ewan! I agree with you too! My point is that it was never confirmed, only alluded to in the show. And I think its a little strange for it to be mentioned in a bio as if it was actually confirmed, thats all.

  • Comment number 63.

59 - That is a point Mitchell might have similar traits in her eyes - excuses for bad or violent behaviour or maybe something else ion conmen will there be a scene where those comparisons are brought into the open

Oh and another ex boyfriend quote reference this time from George
'How you'd had enough of men like him'

  • Comment number 64.

That would be a good scene

Ewan stop with the quotes we get you!

  • Comment number 65.

Fab new look to the site. It really feels like the momentum is gathering pace now. Well done!

  • Comment number 66.

So you don't like the lines used in being human then is that why you want me to stop using quotes?

Anyway posted that last one before reading the other posts and that quote is more about a potential scene as well.

  • Comment number 67.

I love the quotes it's just we get you!!

  • Comment number 68.

    very few people do.

  • Comment number 69.

love the quotes or get you?

everyone should love the quotes! And your not that hard to get

  • Comment number 70.

Everything looks fabulous! Dynamic and clear and just awesome. Well done, web team!!

  • Comment number 71.

I look at the website most days but only comment very rarely. new site is really good. so excited about the new series, i feel we will get a date soon and i cant wait.

  • Comment number 72.

69 - Really most people never get me

So is Annie sitting on a couch or something else blue in the background photo?

  • Comment number 73.

isn't it the bed that the hand is under?

  • Comment number 74.

Evening all, like the new page especially chicken on a rope ha ha!
    - any seen my olde fiend LBH lately?

  • Comment number 75.

    could be a bed

and that is a real point where is the Lurve

  • Comment number 76.

72 - ewan I don't get you but I love you all the same. I love your attention to detail. You remind me of someone in our Warrington office.

Great chats about Nina background there. Definitely wanted more background on her as I think Laurar's right, if she is brushing Mitchell with the same brush as an evil ex, then that would explain so much.

I know Mitchell is a prolific murderer and all that, but I don't get the impression that he would ever beat a girl up... kill her, yes, but that's dinner. It's like thinking lambs are cute but not flinching about eating one. He's actually a really nice guy and would really care for and protect a girlfriend, not beat her up like Owen or Nina's potential ex. The way that he is dangerous with girls is that (a) he's a player: plays the field, you know he'd give you a great time but you'd never see him again, no texts, nothing, and (b) he tends to get peckish afterwards/during and gorges like me and a box of roses, you only mean to nibble a bit, but before you know it the box is empty and the wrappers are all over the floor.

  • Comment number 77.

Good evening Lord Lycan! How the devil was Chatsworth last night?

  • Comment number 78.

    [75] lurve?

[76] good evening WR (still not world rugby) Mitchell is a nice guy - Josie I'm sure Ewan will now give us many quotes about that now. Chocolate....

  • Comment number 79.

LBH who Lycan is looking for full name is LurveBH also a play on the black eyed peas.

    if you insist
'the only time we left the hotel was to buy more cigarettes and chocolate'

  • Comment number 80.

78 - Evening Annie, still not world rugby but still grieving irish ankles... I am actually - how do I say this without getting into trouble - sucking on some chocolate right now. I like buttons to melt on my tongue.
Stop picking on Ewan you monkey! He has encyclopeadic knowledge and I wish I was that good. He can even quote Shakespeare. Big up respect...

Shakespeare and BH. Ewan, can you tell me when the two collided? I challenge you. I was so excited when it happened - yes it happened - I leapt out of my chair and - to (probably mis)quote George - I think a little bit of pee came out.

  • Comment number 81.

ahh thank you i'm not as in touch with old bloggers I've only started posting quite recently can't imagine why sounds like I missed a right goold ol' knees up

Chocolate!! Why does my mind do this?

  • Comment number 82.

79 - EWAN! Mitchell in raunch with CHOCOLATE. You are amazing in accurately picking out what Annie and Warwickshire Rose understand. Can't do the ciggies mind, but it was the 60s...

  • Comment number 83.

Annie - LBH is a pure beaut, she'll be back soon Im sure. Dont worry lycan and ewan!

  • Comment number 84.

[80] I have actually just had some cadbury buttons how odd is that? I'm not picking on Ewan at least not intentionally I think it's my way of showing admiration for the insane knowledge he seems to have of everything.

I can't do Shakespeare and BH but I can do the Harry Potter and BH?

  • Comment number 85.

84 - I thought because it was Ö÷²¥´óÐã I couldn't name them, but always has to be Cadbury's Dairy Milk Buttons. They were made in heaven, which is wrong, because Birmingham is really not...

Harry Potter and BH - hit me! I love HP!

  • Comment number 86.

Is this Seth (Dylan Brown) as Rozencrantz? or the fact Sinead has been in midsummers nights dream or are you referring to A night less ordinary where the cast talk about the joys of watching live theatre? or a particular scene?

    very good on the quote
    wee not pee

  • Comment number 87.

[85] i only realised after i posted that this is the beeb but woah they let me say it! Birmingham is so not. No offense to the birminghamese (?)
    Okay:
M:So, you've just arrived at Hogwarts, which house do they put you in?

G:I'd like to say Gryffindor, but they're supposed to be brave. What's the other one? Ravenclaw, does that have a characteristic?

M:I think they're brainy. You could be in Ravenclaw.

A:I quite fancy Hufflepuff actually. I've always thought in Hufflepuff they just spend the day making stuff with safety scissors and glitter.

    G:What about you?

M:I think that they'd say, 'it's probably best if you just stay in the canteen for the next five years'.

    A:Does anyone ever choose Slytherin?

G:No, because that would be like saying 'I'm a sociopath.'

  • Comment number 88.

    the pilot it was decided

    Annie - Higglepuff
    George - Ravenclaw
Mitchell - The canteen as nobody ever says Slytherin

  • Comment number 89.

tut tut ewan i gave the proper full quote sorry that might have been a bit over the top and unnecessarily long

  • Comment number 90.

No offence taken about Birmingham I mean some places get a Gerkin we get what looks like a Giant Slug - as if the makers of Godzillar just ran out of animale to grow and dystroy things gave up and decided A Slug.

  • Comment number 91.

86 - I tried to get it right! Almost! Yay!
I'm afraid you missed the Shakespeare... actual text from Much Ado About Nothing was heard in series 2... do you want another go or shall I give you the answer?

A clue? it was music to my ears...

  • Comment number 92.

90 - If you look we both posted the same time I asumed you had the quote ready and was trying to beet you by seconds.

  • Comment number 93.

[90] that is disgusting slugs are possibly slightly worse than spiders

We're all going a bit quote mad this evening!

  • Comment number 94.

    yeah ewan sure any excuse

  • Comment number 95.

87 - "birminghamese"?!?! we should try getting that one going... I believe they are traditionally known as Brummies! Not to be mistaken for Yam Yams.

90 - Ewan? A Brummie? that is so not how you sound in my head! Selfridges looks better than the rest of it! my office block is hideous.

  • Comment number 96.

92-94 - Annie totally whooped you in her quoting Ewan. I'm sorry. I do accept that Ewan was trying to beat you though Annie. He didn't know you were blogging at same time.

I am Gryffindor all the way...

  • Comment number 97.

I don't know the technical terms for where people are from! Yam Yams?

And yeah Ewan you do not strike me as Birminghamese (I like it now ok!) I always saw you as a Southern person that would be southerner wouldn't it?

  • Comment number 98.

thank you WR I am going to cherish that voctory for a while!

I'm with Annie hufflepuff would be fun and glittery but I'd probably be ravenclaw

  • Comment number 99.

    *that is victory obviously

  • Comment number 100.

soz got distracted by telephonetical machine... now were halfway between
    hogwarts and brummie-land? I,m lost.

WR - chatsworth was a fantastic alternative world apart (so good I'm going bak l8er). PLease! stop putting choclate into my mind, Im trying resist a tin of Quality St.
