I'm a little confused at the ending of series 2
Why didn't Daisy use her blood to save Ivan and not Herrick? The way she and Ivan spoke about Mitchell and Herrick's relationship, I would've thought she didn't like him?

What do you think of the US/Canada version?

I'd like to know why you're killing off Mitchell? He's one of the most interesting characters and he's the eye candy! :(

I love Mitchell because his story is so true to someone fighting an addiction. He wants to be normal and he wants to fit in but he's under the spell of this powerful craving. It's great to watch. Aidan Turner is a fantastic actor. Why kill him off? :(

I know it's early yet in series 3 but many of us are speculating about series 4. With AT in NZ is the door still open for a series 4? Will he maybe be written into a separate storyline so he can film at a different time? BTW can't wait to see series 3 in the US.

Now from the last two years we already have many questions answered.

George and Nina if conceived when human the baby would be human but hey were changed in episode one so from that there is a big Spoilers issue so not on children.

Recommendations yes last year let the right one in - Bareback (read it not just because it is good but the werewolf love interests name)

Off-topic, I wonder now TwinA17 is? Her twin boys were used as the ghost baby (have to be more than one..rules is rules) in S2. She posted on here a couple of times...thought I'd mention it.

Is there anything at all that you can do to get this show back on in the US? Please? I may have to go George on someone if I can't watch this show!!!

As a writer, is there any thought on what will happen if the show is lucky enough to run for ages and ages given that Annie and Mitchell aren't technically able to age on account of their deadness(!). Hypothetically speaking, do you think it would ever be possible to bring in new characters for us to fall in love with or would you just call it a day and give us a whole new show to obsess over?!

Oh, and I echo Anglo's question (33)- What's happened to Daisy (apart from Amy Manson going off to film Outcasts)? And can we have Ivan and Seth back somehow? If we can only have either Ivan or Seth back, then can we have Seth please? I know there are lots of people want to see him again!

The focus of the previous series' has been on vampires and werewolves really, are you going to go deeper in to the spirit world in the next series (if we get one, and I'm crossing everything that we do)? There is so much more to be explored in relation to Annie and what she has the potential to become, I cannot wait to see what you have in store for her!
Also, at the risk of being a big stinky baby belle - THANK YOU SO MUCH!! For your imagination, your casting skills (they are ALL amazing), and the sheer passion you obviously have for Being Human. There has never been a UK t.v show like this before and I dont think there will be again, xxx

Why does Mitchell "feel" it when Annie gets pulled through the door? Did the powers that be know he'd go after her?

The series is about being human even if you have some fundamental problem - but the way things are going does suggest that sometimes it might be impossible to reconcile the two successfully ..? Is this because of the supernatural element to the show (ie. being a vampire, or a ghost - pretty extreme problem) or is this a continuation of the metaphor about human imperfection?

Assuming that Mitchell will be killed off or packed off at the end of this season ... is there a way for him to come back? Is it likely that he will, or does "The Hobbit" mean probably not? (realise this is too spoilery but had to ask anyway!)

Will there ever be more Being Human merchandise released? We've only had 3 books - I am very keen on action figures. please?

Thank you for Adam answering last Sunday's blog discussion about whether Mitchell smells. My question is:

If Mitchell and Annie get it together, will Annie improve Mitchell's personal hygiene? I'm thinking washing his clothes, bedsheets, explaining the concept of showers, shampoo, etc. Perhaps explaining that the scratch and sniff in a magazine is not as effective as deoderant bought in a shop? Is this a possibility?

First and foremostly, thanks for making Being Human- the new series seems fantastic,loved episode one in Purgatory. Just a little question thats been niggling at me since the end of series 2. What happened to Lucy? Yes, I know she got staked by Kemp, but then Annie grabbed Kemp though The Door that was meant for Lucy's passing. So, would this mean that Lucy never actually passed over? Could there be a restless Professor Jagget spirit? Or am I just turning into a BH geek?!

Forgot to ask:

As a creator, how emotionally invested do you get in the characters and the story, with what happens to them and how they evolve over the course of the series?

Also wanted to say thanks!! for creating such a marvellous, compassionate, macabre and funny world, and such loveable and human characters to follow through it! =)

Couple questions for you.
First of all, there's a few supernatural creatures kicking around, but what about people who can do magic? I remember the episode with Tully, and he had all these tattoo's, some looked a little occulty; an attempt to stop him transforming? Or would that be a little too much to bring in?

Second, loved the whole idea of Mitchell's own Purgatory, and being forced to confront his past. Far better than how it was played out in Buffy and Angel (for me anyway). Does this mean that Mitchell will be visited by other people he's killed, such as the corroner and the policeman from series 2 (thought Ian Puleston-Davies was brilliant as his character).

Third, can vampires become ghosts? I can see Ivan haunting Kate Bush.

And finally, will it get revealed why vampires have it in so much for werewolves? Is there a specific reason, or just that they're immoral?

And thanks for writing such a brilliant show. Why it's not on Ö÷²¥´óÐã1 or 2 is beyond me.

Hello, hope you're having a good day. Am very glad that this excellent programme is back on, as I'm sure alot of people would agree. As I'm mainly house bound it's one of the few things that I really look forward to, it also brightens up my week & am so glad that Annie is back in it. The main thing I wanted to know is, do you have any plans to turn the programme into books? I also wanted to know if you will be writing any more for Doctor Who?
The last thing I wanted to know is will there be any up coming competitions, where the winner(s) could have a walk on part or a signed copy of the script. Keep up the good work.

Toby, thank you so much for FINALLY following through with a Mitchell and Annie romance! Fans have been waiting to see them get together since series 1. So it's a joy to finally see it happen on the screen! And we are thrilled!

QUESTION: Toby, when you initially cast Aidan Turner and Lenora Crichlow, did you always plan to create a possible romantic relationship for Mitchell/Annie? Or was it more of a result of their amazing chemistry? And, I'm curious, would it be possible for Mitchell/Annie to ever have a child together? Or because she is a ghost, it's not possible for her at all?

80/81 - well in my head he smells rather intoxicating too, but I am trying to be realistic here. It helps me overcome the distraction. I suspect he may even smell of cigarettes, which for me would see me heading for the door. I still maintain that I have a rule against Irish. (Sorry Irishmen who are nice. You are blessed with a tremendously gifted main cast (kudos to your casting skills!).
As the series progresses, are you influenced to write specifically to their strengths - feeling confident that you can challenge them eg. Russell can handle pathos as well as humour, Aidan can step up to some pretty heavy stuff in s2 etc. - or does the story always come first?

Okay, so there are far too many questions spinning around in my head to ask something direct, especially as they'll probably be too spoilerish, so first I just wanted to say thank you for this show. To all the cast and crew, and of course a big thank you to you, this show has given me something to look forward to these past few years when things have been quite difficult. I've always been one to pick up and cling to new shows, but this is the only one which has truly gripped me, left me guessing until the end and made me love each of the characters as much as the last.

I could go on but I'll stop here before I get into my stride of praising.

My question though is about the original music. I know there were murmurings on the blog about a possible release of the beautiful scores made especially for Being Human, any update on this?

You've shown us your Being Human vision of purgatory where past deeds are visited and forms filled...what is your vision of Hell, and Heaven, in the Being Human world and what dictates where you end up? (you see I'm bit puzzled that Annie who led a decent life as far as we know was destined for Hell...or was this just to tempt Mitchell there in a hurry?.)

Would love for you to say a little more about 'the danger within' in series 3 because I'm beginning to think that the danger is one of our awesome foursome...but I guess that would be too spoiler related

84 - that is not very nice. If you don't like it, don't watch! It's not necessary to be outwardly mean to anyone in life. You don't see me on Doctor Who blogs moaning about their show.

Look, in any series there are going to be episodes people like less than others - I was like that on Sunday - but that doesn't depreciate the rest of the series.

Telling me to stop watching the show is no contribution at all really, I loved the first two series and I cherish my box set and I want to be proved one. The one thing I personally can't stand is people who pass judgement without experiencing something, so I will continue watching for now, hoping...

Since the show is "Being Human", might we see flashbacks of events from before the characters are 'turned'? It would be great to see who they wanted to be, where they were heading before they become supernaturals.

I think Toby is teasing with this one...I expect pain along the way for poor old Annie!...and sad to say I suspect that the same will ultimately be true for George and Nina
