George really needs a stock of intimidating lines for when he has to raid vampire strongholds.

LOVED this episode...for its humour ..and its compassion, particularly portrayed by Nina and George. Adam's story one of loss, laughter...and ultimately, wanting to be better..to become human.

i'm a bit 'hmm' about this episode. Found the deviant vampires a little obvious and 2 dimensional to be honest and the Adam storyline was good, and his character well written, but really did just feel like it was there for the sole purpose of introducing a spin off and not really adding anything to the group story.
A little dissapointed this week.
Lets hope we have a bit of Herrick next week to liven things up!

yeah this episode was fun and quirky but didnt have the tension of last week which feels a bit like a step backwards - surely the tension should be rising each week towards the season finale?

Loving the new series, but the line from George "Who wants some of my plant" had me laughing. he must have had a great time reading the script on that one

Becoming Human snippet is great, just dont let it go over to CITV !

Forgot to say that one of the reasons I loved that episode was because I've stood on many of those locations!...the quayside, the Barrage, streets in Barry island....feeling lucky!

Wow, what an episode - a lot to take in! I love that Nina seems to be back on form - definately looking forward to seeing more of her in this series. I'm really starting to go for this whole 'annie/mitchell' pairing, but throughout all their scenes in this episode, I was kind of cringing - I was like 'back off a bit, Annie. You're overwhelming the poor guy'. I'm intrigued to see how it will all unfold... definately requires a second viewing to absorb it all a bit better.

Ha ha poor Welsh people, all perverts according to Being Human, what with last weeks doggers and number 7 this week. And wasn't the tradesman selling the cage to George last series Welsh and very clued up on what uses cages could be put to.

Best line: "WHO WANTS SOME OF MY PLANT?!"

I love the reference back to the first series for us fans and any return for the World's Gayest Ninjas is fine by me.

I really felt for him too,hearing that horrid news reporter foreseeing his death..horrible!I was half thinking he was actually going to take off after that so as not to bring heartache on his friends,especially poor Annie who was just consumed with love for Mitchell tonight.

Adam grew on me throughout the night,Nina & George did a good job with nutureing him,showing signs of being good parents there :O)

All in all a fantastic episode.....thrills and spills all the way!

Really liked the back refs with the humour (George's 'Who wants some of my plant').
Wasnt all that keen on needy Annie tbh. I hope she gets a bit more meat to her scrips in the next couple as I found her a bit....annoying, rather than sweet.
I like the continued use of the TV/radio for messages to the gang though (again a nice back link to previous series).
To me the episode seemed a little awkward and contrived which is very unlike BH.

WOW! This episode marks a real change in Being Human. We finally see a real growth of the BH universe and a different type of vampire- the kinky vampire (and it seems type 4's are on the way as well)
I have to say, I'm not sure I was totally happy with this episode...I really hoped Annie would come into her own, but this episode just showed how dependent she still is on the group, especially Mitchell. Also, not totally sure I like Adam (I know he's meant to be a bit of a twit but still). On the plus side I loved the Nina/George goodness -Im glad someone's happy!!!!!!
It looks like sh*t is going down next week so I'm very excited about that! Also, I wonder how old the 'elders' are and if they are going to feature heavily, they could be very interesting!!!

NOt seriously so, I mean I'm sure things will develop but it lacked something from last week, and the Annie and Mitchell thing is already beginning to irritate me a little too, it's just not working.

McNair's carved werewolf stake (werewolf shaped bullet) is all i can see its eating away at me. tonights episode is the worst being human episode ever, i loved adam but all the S&M stuff was over the top. a little bit of s&m reference like when george had the cage built in series 2, worked well but this is just..... lazy writing... i know its to introduce the spin off and in fact i see the irony of george and nina saving a vampire when a werewolf will supposedly kill mitchell but come on was it really necessary to go over the top? i never post blogs but i am really annoyed because i expect better from a show that has only ever been AMAZING!!!!

41 Izi - Good point about Annie yes. Prior to going to Purgatory, Sykes had managed to bring her up to scratch and help her strengthen herself, but it seems all that confidence has dissappeared now. ALmost seems like her power development we were just starting to see at thge end of series 2 is a bit anti-climactic.
Adam seemed like not so much of a important part, but actually after having watched the Becoming Human episode it seems betteer now, although it was a quick transition from scruffy teenager losing his father to accepting his new environment. However I'll watch the Becoming Human episodes with interest.

42 I admit I'm and Annie/Mitchell fan, but I agree that it didnt work this week. Annie was wayyyy to desperate! As she said she has vested interests in all of them (as they are the only ones who can see her) I get why she would be clingy, but Annie needs to take Mitchells advice and live for herself, otherwise she will just repeat her cycle of bad relationships!

43 Nevaaprincess and 45 Allie munster - Have no fear you are not the only ones. It just doesn't feel right. If anything it just feels wrong. My guess is it that its meant to be wrong because it will figure later on in the series. The trailer already shows that its one sided with Mitchell realizing that Annie is coming onto him and that its one sided, possibly.
The only way I can see it is it will create an opportunity for somethng bad to happen, because apart from that it doesn't seem like it has much story in it.

Not sure I liked it - a lot of time spent setting Adam up only for him to walk away at the end. And Annie will really get on my nerves if she insists on clucking round Mitchell like that.

Hope episode 3 shows a return to form.

evening all :) kind of agree about the annie and mitchell thing, like many other being human plotlines it all feels a bit...ominous :S it would be nice if it wasn't actually but I doubt it lol. however, didn't think this episode was a "dip" after the first one!! especially the george and nina's one liners lol, like a grown up version of scooby doo :D

51 - WhiteHare - fair point in truth, however I did read somewhere that they said a young lad enters the series early on but appears again once more, so obviously the paths will criss cross over and possibly their story threads will interestingly mingle prehaps again.
Plus of course Lia will make another appearance too I believe, so there's a lot toplay for, and with all that and the type 4 being advertised in the next epi we are all still waiting (baited breaths) to see Herrick once more (and possibly Cara and Daisy?!?)

Don't care what anyone is saying, I loved the Annie/Mitchell scenes. Yes she was a bit clingy and yes she needs to become her own person on her own but they're just adorable and I can't wait for next week to see how things develop.

As for the rest of the episode, George and his "Who wants some of my plant?!" was just plain amazing.

60 AllieMunster - Oh I agree I think they may sort of get together, however it only seems it will work if it's to their detriment. Its too safe to just have them become aa couple, it it as I said, creates leverage for something bad to happen (remember Lia had something to do with it, and everyone thought she was suspect in getting her influence in there). As I say if its just them getting together then it doesn't feel right and BHP, in my opinion, would of taken an easy option in the storyline. BHP are better than that so I'm betting it will develop only to go wrong later.

Crazy Theory of mine for a while set off again by tonights episode. So the Old ones want Mitchell in South America (Bolivia accourding to Ivan & Daisy's prequal)Apparently to save him from the train thing. We obviously haven't met many of the old ones, but what if we have met some of them? Maybe the Bristol brothers & sisters weren't as smoke damaged as we were lead to believe and went to South America and now they want Mitchell to join them??? :O)

It's improving on second watch. The lad that plays Adam is good. I think I was just expecting a continuation of last week's OMGOMG reaction and not getting it.

Looking forward to Herrick returning too - he is awesome.

Hi guys...read all the above comments and still think that this was a great episode...my feelings are that Being Human has to introduce new characters and situations ...if it relied on storylines just inclusive of our awesome foursome it would become stilted.

I've never been a fan of a Mitchell/Aannie hook up so agree with many voices above...they can't get too cosy or they become normal...and boring as far as this series is concerned. I liked the fact that Brian Dooley (eps 2 writer) gave a glimpse into how things would be for Annie if she thinks that she can live her life through Mitchell.

Hand on heart here people... Annie is my absolute fave of the crew. When the idea of Annie and Mitchell as a couple was first put to me I was outraged - the anti shipper if you will. As time went on and I saw how the two characters were absolute polar opposites I began to warm to them. Half way through series 2 I was sold (I know, I know) - he has been using his curse as an excuse for being, well essentially a man tart, and Annie has given so much of herself to others that it actually was the death of her. If ever a couple could do with learning things from one and other its these two.
All through Being Human we have seen Annie grow in confidence and inner strength - finding a sense of self. Going to purgatory because she saved the lives of the people she loved meant that Annie should have came back even more empowered - imagine by slapped face when it turned out this wasn't the case!
I almost had to watch through my hands tonight as Annie threw herself at Mitchell, and then the trailer with his head in his hands when he is saying that he thinks she fancies him... jeez. Show the girl some respect!
Oh yeah, I forgot - its only episode two and I have every faith in the BHP team :)

I can't remember how old Ivan said he was ( over 100 but under 200 !?!) however Hetty back just after the 1940's/50's in Singapore tells them both shes about 460 years old.

81 Laurar - Exactly if things go fine then that will bring them apart and I suspect right at a moment which could be pivotal to Mitchell. Annie did bad (on one level) by taking Kemp over before his time, however Mitchell has killed hundreds. Getting Annie involved with him may in fact weaken him a bit so that his captors (who are now harassing him through the tv now)have an easier job in taking him down.

83 - Izi, yes Mitcheell sitting on the sofa and confesses he thinks Annie fancies her, and not in tones of excitement.

84 Actually that does seem about right doesn't it, he tells Mitchell it outright when he gets him to help the others at the funeral parlour to go cold turkey.

Oh also, I dont know if this has been mentioned but who do people think was in the mortuary at the end of the episode? Adams dad perhaps or our new kinky vampire friends?

87. and just before the explosion when Mitchell is getting Ivan to take over in Bristol he says how old he is, how its time to take responsibility and how he arm wrestled Gadaffi OMG i think I need to stop again....

I can't pick out a best bit lol just...amazing! 95. Reality sucks I much prefer this, but I have the school run and work tomorrow too :o/ Sweet Dreams all mind the vampires don't bite..... then again I dream of just that lol

I'm a HUGE Mitchell/Annie fan. And I've been waiting to see them get together since series 1. I always thought they had such a charming and easy going chemistry since day one. And I've noticed that their chemistry was different than the sibling type of chemistry Annie/George had. With Mitchell/Annie, we would get intimate hugs and forehead touching. Just the little things that seemed more "romantic" rather than sibling like in comparison to George/Annie.

And when the Mitchell/Annie kiss happened in episode 2 of series 1, I think that was a huge hint. A platonic kiss is one where it's on the cheek. A romantic kiss is the one that is on the lips. Even if that was an "accidental" kiss, it was still a hint from the writers, in my opinion. And then we later had huge pivotal scene in episode 6 of series 1 where Mitchell/Annie talked on the kitchen floor. And if you notice their facial expressions, they were looking at each others' lips.

So I do think the build up for Mitchell and Annie has been there from day one. I think in series 2, Mitchell/Annie's interaction was VERY limited because the writers wanted to make Mitchell a bit darker...and to show him losing his way. I don't think that would have happened if Annie was still a close presence in his life. Instead, they showed their isolation, sort of.

Then comes episodes 7 and 8 of series 2 which further develop Mitchell/Annie. He TRIES to kiss her again and reveals to her that he has thought of her in the romantic sense. Hence his comment about "imagining her without her clothes on." SO to me, that is not platonic at all. Then we have the scene in episode 8 where he FELT her being ripped away. Again, I took that as a romantic connection. He did not know that she was dragged through the door...he did not see it. But he felt it.

And NOW, we have series 3, and I'm so glad that the writers are finally developing the romance with Mitchell and Annie fully and completely. It's a very equal sided relationship. Mitchell risked EVERYTHING to go and find her in purgatory. He went to the horrible ideal of remembering his victims so that he could get Annie back. He could have quit and left. But he didn't.

I think Lenora/Aidan are perfection on the screen together. They have an electric chemistry that truly shines.

And that is why there are SO MANY music videos for Mitchell and Annie on Youtube. After the series 3 premiere last week, there has been tons and tons more of videos added. And if you read the comments on twitter, fans are thrilled about the pairing.

So I'm just happy that I get to see their romance continue next week! They will get together. I just think Mitchell is worried due to the werewolf prophecy and the massacre hanging over his head. So he is preoccupied with lots of angst. But he TRULY loves Annie. There is no doubt about that. And it's not just a friendship love. I mean, again, the guy came onto her in a very intimate manner in series 2. So there is no other explanation for that.

Also, Mitchell/Annie pairing is quite popular right now. There are online websites for them all over the place. As well as fan art and music videos.
