Saint - we were given the sign for travel - I've just put two and two together and come up with five probably. I've put the sign for travel onto the sign for human and come up with time traveller.

Evening folks, shameless plug again here for my full review of A Spectre Calls here
I'm a bit more critical this week, not because I didn't enjoy the episode but because I can't shake the feeling I'm not as gripped as I was last year. I feel Series 4 has been good but not great so far, still better than 99% of TV of course, but I feel a bit like I haven't been 'wowed' yet.

Loving Tom and Hal though and this feeling is not due to them at all. They are brilliant, together and individually!

Anyway, new scroll, exciting, Time traveller doesn't seem like too enormous a leap to me Sasha. From the future into the past perhaps? Definitely saw a train track first with the third symbol.

What if bottom left is the bars of a cot? So that could be a *lapsed* (coz sign is upside down) vampire kills the time traveller but when she is still cot bound?

Oh, a railroad track you say? And we wonder why Box Tunnel is still being talked about...

Regus was reading from left to right and starting by the bottom?

Fascinating especially if it is anything to do with trains! I wonder who the poor geezer is who had a bible made of his hide. How can you tell what order they all come in. Any predictive thing in Scifi if its not to do with faith of any sort or witchy stuff tends to do with time travel - boot straps and paradox etc so I wonder if whoever does the time travel goes back, flays someone and starts the story all over again..parallel universes where Mitchell doesnt die and never tries to be good and meets Hal...errm

Ok so I've been thinking a lot recently about Eve, future woman and the scroll's and I've been wondering, what if they read the scroll's wrong because they didn't have all the pieces.
What if Eve isn't the savour of the Humans or the death of all Vampires. What if she is the savour of the Vampires and the death to the Humans.
Thing is she or no one would know this until they found the last piece of the scroll and assuming future woman is Eve, she finds this out when she received the last piece of the scroll from that person.
Then she would have to die to go back and kill baby Eve before things got out of hand.
And that would mean Hal is indeed Eve's nemesis (burnt arm) but only because he is protecting the baby.

Does any of that make any sense ?

The question arose what is if the scrolls show important things of the life from - Mitchell, George, Nina, Hal, Tom so a review what happened and of course the future.

So what Saint wrote could be Mitchell.

So the symbols we have are:
Killed, Travel, Vampire and something that looks suspiciously like a train track.
Vampire-Killed-Train-Travellers
Well they did say the scrolls won't give anything away and that we know the stories.

Sasha and Aqua - can't help with the kirby car but I do know a bit about the shot of Hal in the car at the bottom of the hill.

Here's how they filmed it (thank you Tim)

So picture the scene. The shot below is a simple two shot over the driver towards a character at the window. However the gradient of the street is incredibly steep and there is no way to rig the camera without using an inordinate amount of construction. The simplest solution is to sit in the passenger seat with the camera on a steady bag. But it is impossible to judge whether the camera is level. Due to the incline every vertical in the frame is skewiff and it is also very dark.

Then I remembered my 'Clinometer' App. The top plate of the Alexa is a perfectly flat nestling point for the iPhone and the app's large bubble display with numerical readings in degrees was easily viewable out of the corner of my eye whilst operating off a monitor. It's the closest I'll ever get to 'flying with instruments' and it was all working so well until...the phone's battery ran out in the middle of a take

Someone of the last scolls blog suggested that each scroll we get represents someone's story or the part they play in the prophesy - if so - then whose is this?

I agree that this has to be about the BT20.
The talk about BT20 makes me miss Daisy. Yes, I miss Ivan as well, but loads of people have already said that. Daisy is the only strong female vampire we've seen in BH, I really hope we get another one soon. Sadly McNair killed Daisy, so I know we can't get her back :(

On the correct way of reading these bloomin scrolls,
I suppose it actually makes sense if you read it from the bottom right hand corner clockwise. Before now I was just taking the symbols from anywhere and trying to make them mean something. But if you read it in that direction it goes:
Vampire-(on)train-killed-human travellers
It probably isn't the right way of reading the scrolls, but there is at least an order there.

35 & 39 - No - I wasn't totally correct - I said time travel not just travel so as much as I'd like to take the credit and all that.......

Lauren had too many issues probably related to the fact that she had been only a one bloody-night stand as far as it went with Mitchell who dumped her on Herrick and Seth as dry-nurses
it left her -though- a vamp with security and self esteem issue
because she was not nurtured to the dqrk side she missed the human life and would be never satisfied plus she was not buying I shall rule the world theme from Herrick

compare her to Daisy and come to think of it Michaela
their sires/lovers were there when they woke up, they were cared for

Ivan loved Daisy and Daisy loved Ivan sex with Mitchell and George was simple physical experimenting, just a release of youthful energy
nothing meant but Ivan

sadly Outcast meant the actress would not return and Paul Rhys is now in California

so aside Micaela and Hettie our batladies are missing in numbers

Interesting that you used the word spiral, it got me thinking. Isn't that the same formation as Hals dominoes? Right to left working inwards? Could that have been a clue?

I agree with the majority that think this shows the BT20 aspecially since it was brought up again in last night's ep.
So... been thinking exactly how Eve might be 'the saviour', possibly it comes to a choice between saving the baby from the vamps and letting them win/do something that leads to the future we saw and Hal chooses to save the baby? I refuse to believe he will be evil - though I am willing to eat my hat... I have enough.
Also on a totally unrelated note, much as I love Hal's tank top/sparkly belt combo that he had going on I miss the 1950s suit!!! Keeping my fingers crossed he hasn't given it to OXfam or something and we get to see it again.

Kirby! *ahem* I was right about him, huh, huh, didn't I say - 'comes in all nice and friendly and then starts to sow little seeds of doubt in people's mind' That reminds me - totally agreed with timeandtide's comment on last blog - the minute you point oout to everyone what their little game it - you are made to look like are the bad guy. T&T - it's because once people have made the judgement, 'this is my new best friend' they don't want to look as if they have made a gross error in judgement - it's vanity - and they don't want to be on the receiving end of any nastiness. But once they are broke and run out of money, the manipulator soon moves on, I find. Kirby did, but only after he had killed them!

what do I read? You cannot foretell the future? Now I am massively disappointed .

on the other hand, some - not me- bloggers have bet Eve would develop quickly to avoid having to drag 25 seasons of BH to get to Eve 2037...
but nobody knows the future as you rightly say.
hence the prophecy will not be realized or be realized and nobody will know for sure if or if not. Hence Eve death in the future is part of the prophecy, but she does not know it and her future is in the past... in 2012. Time wrap perfect.

What I don't get in this episode is why Hal didn't explain why he did that... He should have told Annie that Kirby was telling Tom lies, and then show her his room being destroyed... Annie would know that it wasn't our boys....

Eve will not develop any quicker, Though they have been showing clips of the future, this storyline is in the present.

Ahhh Robert, yes but people like Kirby are sooo good at what they do. Hal had just been caught in the worst situation possible - all fanged up hovering over Eve - it is BECAUSE this is the thing that Hal feared would happen the most that he was 'caught' in that horrific moment for Hal that all he could do was walk away shell-shock, left reeling. It was only when he was in the car at the bottom of the hill that he sat there thinking perhaps about what he should have done...
Hindsight is a wonderful thing - but in that moment caught out... no, I don't think he would have said, 'he just messed uo my room!"

Ohh Hal and Jenny... this up 'til now is my fave scene in S4 - just breathtaking to see Hal - really scary - I bet that actress was quite scared!

I agree about the suddenly toxic WW blood that didn't affect Herrick when he killed McNair or stabbed Nina (he wasnt even concerned) or affect any other vamp throughout three entire series. But hey ho I will have to learn to live with it. If there is a really good explanation for this later on I will hang my head and eat humble pie. Promise not to mention it again - don't suppose it's that important really - it just really bugged me every time it was mentioned. Note to self - do not mention this again!!
