    First comment?

  • Comment number 2.

Ohh cannot wait for this episode tonight. I love Adam!

  • Comment number 3.

    YAY!

  • Comment number 4.

    from last blog ^^:

@doesitsay 330- yeah, but he had that *without* waging war. And after the war they'd have to rebuild society which would be more like dreary work than fun. Would it really be worth that just to satisfy their overblown egos?

  • Comment number 5.

4- vampires don't tend to think about the longterm though - which is odd because they should be wise what with them being sooooooooooooo old + that.

  • Comment number 6.

@Opositiv I actually agree with you personally if I were the vampires I'd be concentrating on wiping out the other Supers first, starting with killing all the werewolves before moving on to excorsising the ghosts I mean surely from a megalomanic sadistic point of view that'd be the most "fun"

  • Comment number 7.

5- not all of them are old but still..they're kinda the definition of "long term"

  • Comment number 8.

7- They are kind of set in their ways though - apart from Cutler for example who appears to be younger with his talk of twitter and all that palava. He's the fresh blood who will stop the vampires from being outdated and 'medieval' like he said - making BH all the more scary for it.

  • Comment number 9.

8- Yes, but even Cutler, as the modern vampire, is ok with taking over the world, he just doesn't like their methods. And I don't think that he's right about just having to give humans something worse than vampires. After they've taken out all the WW guess who they'll hunt next? ;)

  • Comment number 10.

    Evening fellow bloggers :D
Perhaps the Vampires' 'condition' and it's seemingly on-the-heat-of-the-moment characteristic prevents the Vampires from being overly long-term thinkers? I mean, they can plan world domination but at the same time (esp if they're still feeding) won't be able to plan where their next meal will come from, but just kill as they feel like it?

  • Comment number 11.

9- I think it's more ofa Nazi-esque idea. They word out they can't get into power by force so they have to do it democratically. They blame all the troubles on outsiders and the current regime (weimar republic/werewolves) and then the people ask for them as the only ones who can promise to destroy what is currently happening. Then before all the bad thing is wiped out, they change all the rules so that they're in power forever (or until they decide they want living space and wage war with a power that will eventually beat them)
    10- I like it.

  • Comment number 12.

11- But why would they need to get into power at all? They've got power already behind the scenes, they're like the fr****ng wizard of oz ^^ pulling strings everywhere. Also Nationalsozialism didn't work out so well in the end for our country, now did it ^^?

  • Comment number 13.

@10 That seems pretty likely, like they'd end up conquering the world and then it'd be a "...'kay, now what?" moment

  • Comment number 14.

Have you eaten you *diners*? Cleaned and sharpened your fangs? Polished your shields? Whittled your stakes? Are you ready?

What on earth with Hal make of Adam? I think we're in for some giggles....

  • Comment number 15.

I was never a fan of Adam. Maybe it's an age thing or what but his episode last year kind of left me a bit chilly. I'm hoping to be converted more this time around (and no, didn't watch BcH either). Selina Griffith(s)(?) sounds exactly like her mum.

I'm very curious about something that i read about the episode on a teaser page featuring Hal. That's all i'll say.

  • Comment number 16.

13- @ Mason XD *lol* I've just been imagining that, all the vampires standing around looking dumbfound and out of their depth wondering what to do with this world now that they've won the war

  • Comment number 17.

    question

if vampires in the future take over humanity and kill it all
either they are suicidal and soon will be at each other throat by lack of blood
    or
    they have stopped needing it
if they do not need blood, they may consider humanity as irrelevant as possibly neanderthal was to sapiens sapiens

remove the blood lust, they are just like us , physically stronger, possibly a tad more intelligent and without the blood lust able to who knows what scientific experiment they would like to consider

hence in the future, thry really want to conquer the world and we are the weakest link, plus contrary to humans they can interact with the socalled after life possibly another dimension our own civilization cannot apprehend

more the dimensions, bigger the power

    so we have
    - no need for human blood
    - superiority when it comes to dimnsion and apprehension, not fear, but understading of our world

the only thing missing when it comes to homo sapiens vampiris superior is
    reproduction
all the stronger, better, smarter etc species have outwitted their predecessors by being able to reproduce better when the mass extinction came/comes/will come
reptiles outsmart amphibians, mammlian reptiles burdened by early furs go back to burrows while the weather makes it easier, wide brush strokes here the dinos, post meteoritic nuclear winter removes plant eaters dinos thus no need for flesh eating reptiles in favour of furry masurpials etc etc
in short the battle is won by whom can have more offsprings
but vamps can't have kids, right????

  • Comment number 18.

@13 - Yes, I can see that happening - particularly as there seem to be a lot of Vampires around - the world domination thing is fine for the OO and those in decent positions, but after the other Vamps catch on and then kill all the humans, what would happen?? - I think there's a reason why the Vamps haven't achieved such domination yet - because it just doesn't work. However, as we've had 2037 previews, it seems that they've finally worked out how to do it so it runs smoothly - and I think that'll come clear in this series, or at least be suggested at?

  • Comment number 19.

    @Mistress Rebecca
Shields are always kept nicely polished. It's on the 'list' don't you know.

  • Comment number 20.

I don't know why it sounds so... naughty.. @rentaghost but it really does! ;-)

  • Comment number 21.

17/18- you wouldn't have to kill every last human to take over the world, they could keep the remaining humans like cattle and reproduce trough them. But it would be kind of more trouble than just leaving things as they are.

  • Comment number 22.

12- Yeah I know it didn't work out well, but it's not exactly like a vampirical society would work for the world either! You're right about them pulling the strings, in the police, the courts, hospitals, they're everywhere but I think they like the fear, they like other people to cower at their feet and they're sick of hiding and being repressed. I'm not exactly pro-vampire, I just think its in their nature just as it is in human nature to seek power and recognition. I'm thinking along the 'enhanced human' line now.

  • Comment number 23.

Mitchell reacted to Adam like an older brother or cousin revulsed by a teenager young one who is aping them, badly
in short mitchell sort of saw his past as a womanizer in Adam amd the reflection was unsavoury

Hal is more likely to look at him like a father outraged by his son's antics
    hance after Annie commendments
    it will be Hal rules

Thou shalt not swear in your father/maker abode

  • Comment number 24.

    13
It would go something like this:
"OK so now we've killed everyone, what do we do"
    "Erm...."
    "Dunno!"
"hang on, now all the humans are gone whose gonna clean up?"
"Oh bugger, didn't think of that"
"Really should have thought this whole, World Domination thing through."

  • Comment number 25.

Evening All! Evening Mods! Evening Rebecca! Just under an hour to go! WooHoo! Remembered to buy choccies this week! Tuck in everyone!

  • Comment number 26.

Sanitix - interesting points :) I was particularly drawn to your point about homo sapiens being considered 'Neanderthals' by the Vamps. I myself believe that Neanderthals were awesome and incrediably sophisticated - and perhaps were wiped out not by their own failings, but for other reasons! - This opinion has made me think - I think perhaps that similarly to the Homo Sapiens/Neanderthal thing I think humans will surprise the Vamps by how much they resist them and by how skillfull and 'advanced' (for want of a better word) they are! (therefore it'll be like the homo sapiens/neadethal thing expect the 'Neanderthals' in this case will come out on tops!

  • Comment number 27.

20- Mistress Rebecca seems to be in an Adam state of mind already ;)

  • Comment number 28.

    Rentaghost - again ab fab!

Re vamps taking over the world, I guess its like any ecosystem where there are too many predators and not enough prey - they just die out of something. I know that lack of blood doesnt kill them but it makes them look seriously ill. By all accounts. Tho Hal doesnt look too bad on it apart from those stressed eyes and biting lip..

  • Comment number 29.

Ok, posting this here again, because apparently we're on to a new blog already. Aahh, you guys are just tyoing to fast, it's hard to keep up.

So @336 from the last blog:

Concerning what Mitchell said to Josie: I get the impression that it is kind of different for every vampire. Mitchell was obviously feeling a lot of guilt, so he would indulge himself to forget. But he still liked the feeling of power it gave him over other people as he admits to Lia -he's addicted to that feeling. So it's not only about the forgetting part.

After all, you start out without a guilty conscience, so what drives you too massacre people in the first place (I'm not talking about killing someone through merely sating your bloodlust, but committing actual mass murder) if it's only about evading your past deeds.

To me, this sounds a bit like another excuse of Mitchell to lay the blame on something else than himself and not admit that a part of him just doesn't want to abstain from blood. Imo, it may be true, but judging by many of the vamps behaviour, it's not the whole truth.

Hal certainly doesn't seem to indulge himself to forget about his victims (in the flashback), but because he loves it.

  • Comment number 30.

    @mistress denton

.... blushing.... tss tss , really

us bloggers expect our blog mistress to be demure and avoid all those words such as polishing, rubbing etc etc

  • Comment number 31.

Tick tock tick tock. Lock up your budgies and hide the Kia-Ora - and don't let Adam get his hands on that copy of Nuts I saw lying around...

  • Comment number 32.

a thought popped into my head earlier this week whilst my six year old was watching CÖ÷²¥´óÐã. It is a good job Pearl has crossed over because Adam used to be in Tracey Beaker.

  • Comment number 33.

@MancVamp - Yay chocolates :D If someone had asked, I make a mean vegan chocolate cake! (it's so mean it's had approval from non-vegans1) Ohh well, perhaps for next time! :p

  • Comment number 34.

Alright I'd better go or I won't get the kitchen done before BH starts! See you guys next Saturday maybe.

  • Comment number 35.

mrsbarrowboy - He also used to be in Young Dracula, playing Vlad's best friend who desperately wanted to be a Vampire too - be careful what you wish for, hey? ;)

  • Comment number 36.

    @16 "So uh...who wants Spain?"
@18 I'm not sure every vampire would actually allow the plan though, surely some of them would put up a fight, " You're killing off my drug/food supply" but I'm really not sure I just don't think the Vamps are all that clever and want to feel big. If you think about it they're the weakest of the Supers, they're under a constant craving for their "drug" and perhaps it's sort of ...Whole Species Apathy where they all feel realy pathetic about it and want to feel big and tough like the weak bully on the playground?

@17 I'm not sure they've ever "needed" the blood, look at Hal he's not on his blood but he's doing over 100 press ups a day and is pretty ripped in general if it was a physical need for it rather than just the craving and want for it then surely he'd be physically weak? It can't be all of that powerful an addiction anyway they don't exactly have withdrawal symptoms when they stop. I just generally think that becoming a vampire and having lost control at one point ( as they all probably do) it flicks something in their heads that, whilst they're live feeding, makes them ENJOY it.

  • Comment number 37.

33- @StrangeBean how would you make a vegan cake? Isn't that without anything produced by animals, i.e. no eggs, milk etc.? Wouldn't that just leave flour and chocolate? ^^

  • Comment number 38.

Right need to go an start the pre-episode routine (and yes there is a list for that!) See you on the other side for some more theorising! And don't eat too many of those chocs @MancVamp!

  • Comment number 39.

    @strange
    my friends call me Saint

If we follow Herrick speeck to McNair prequel, vampires feel humans are spoiling the planet, that humans are disrespectful of earth
getting rid of humans may sound justified
yet do not forget, genetic studies seem to suggest neanderthal is not dead completely as we sapiens carry some of their genes
    which suggests ''' interbreeding

  • Comment number 40.

at the end of this series for Hal is it going to be "come back with your shield or on it"???

  • Comment number 41.

@Opositiv - there are no eggs, butter or milk in a Vegan chocolate cake - you simply replace all those things will oil and water, and it works just the same! It's quite a genius thing, actually. Much cheaper to make, and (as I'm currently trying to convince myself) better for you (I think)! :)

  • Comment number 42.

20:20-21:00 - origami while listening to Radio 4. Laters!

  • Comment number 43.

35.yeah I remember him from there too. when I spotted him in TB I said ooh theres Adam but masterB looked blankly at me so I had to refer to young Drac instead. He did look very cute in TB, couldn't have been more than 10

  • Comment number 44.

41- hm...naaah, I think I like my cakes the carnivourous way, with eggs and milk and butter *gg*

  • Comment number 45.

Oh you mean there aren't any vegans in a vegan cake? Hmm... Not sure I fancy then ;) hehe

  • Comment number 46.

@36: Mitchell had withdrawal symptoms in episode 1, his hands were shaking etc. Seth comments upon it.

  • Comment number 47.

Saint - does this mean I'm one of your friends now? :D

Oh yes - how could I forget the genetic studies?? - I'd forgotten the evidence for interbreeding - THAT parallel could get v. interesting if brought into the BH universe!!

  • Comment number 48.

    @24

    haha brilliant

"who's idea was it to kill all the food anyway?"
    - everyone points at each other-
    "collective groan"

  • Comment number 49.

45- *lol* like there are no girl scouts in girl scout cookies? Big let down isn't it *eg*

48 XD and they'd be just dumb enough to only realize it afterwards *headdesk*

  • Comment number 50.

    @48
    *mass vampire facepalm*

  • Comment number 51.

@46 maybe they're only at the beginning of kicking the haibit or for a little while afterwards "little while" obviously to vamps little longer than us but Hal seems to be doing alright

  • Comment number 52.

    @strange

    STX bowing

    yes, genetics!
vampires can either farm humans but I doubt they would have much success, would you have children if you knew they are to be slqughtered
    nope
or and either they do not need human cattle
because they have invented a replacement
somehow I do not think it possible see the curse thingey but why not
    but they have outsmart humanity

think, they sort of reproduce like bacteria , non sexual scissiparity
but they need humans to pass on the curse to be more numerous
but if they can be more nuerous and be vampiric and not need humans for blood and reproduction
    hmans are toast

  • Comment number 53.

    @49+50

Its actually a hilarious mental image, In my head they're all in a big room and at the back Cutler is trying to skulk out quietly before they all realise it's "his fault"

  • Comment number 54.

Hal does seem to be physically fine without blood, but isn't it possible that after the initial shock to the system it just means he's limited to human strength? Some of the vampires seem to be extraordinarily strong whether they are ripped or not, much stronger than a human who works out the way Hal does.. could be they're not weak without it, just limited to the physical capability of their human body, but stronger if they drink

  • Comment number 55.

53- @Mason yessss, he'd try to get as far away as possible before the all point in his direction *gg*

52-@SAINTIXE56 Well since I never understand why any woman goes through the indignity of pregnancy an giving birth I'm of the opinion that humans will reproduce no matter the circumstances. Even if they know their kids will end up as vampire-chow :)

  • Comment number 56.

Counting down from 54 hours is a bit strange!!! But at least time hasn't yet stopped. Can't wait to see Tom again!!!!! Woof!

  • Comment number 57.

52 & 3 - Perhaps their arrogance makes them want to take over the world? More than their whole condition-thingy? Because the way I see it is that Vamps. are naturally arrogant - particularly new ones, over the fact that they live for so long and therefore assume they 'know' so much more. I guess in many cases this is true but perhaps it can go so far as to delude them sometimes - so that they see themselves as superior not just because they can take everyone down, and therefore people should be placed underneath them and they should rule? - I.e. maybe it's not about getting all the blood they want or having greater control over their food, but simply due to their characteristics? (I mean that as Vamps as a general group, rather than the awesome odd individs. like Hal ;))

  • Comment number 58.

@54 maybe that's another reason Hal works out a lot.... He likes the feeling of strength he has on blood.... And keeping fit kind of replaces that.... Makes him stronger and so he can't use the desire for physical strength as a reason to drink again

  • Comment number 59.

just wondering if their will be any more werewolf transformations this series. i mean george used to have 1 every 3eps-ish. but maybe its becuase tom isn't as worried about being a werewolf than george... anyway any ideas if there will be any werewolf action soonish?

  • Comment number 60.

I'm all about the Wolf! We haven't seen Tom transform yet have we?

  • Comment number 61.

59 - Sure there will be. We have another full moon March 8 so we'll surely have another transformation next week. BBD you about - you can surely verify this sir :-)

  • Comment number 62.

58.I dont care WHY Hal work out but I know I like it!

  • Comment number 63.

@Robert we have - well, not fully - I think we saw him last series and in the first ep. with George, but I don't think we've seen himn fully transform on his own yet - just bits of the transformation with others, I think..

  • Comment number 64.

yea a bit in series 3 in the ww cage, pool thing and with george at the begining of this series but not on his own.

  • Comment number 65.

DM just tweeted "more push ups ... And Hal sings"

    N x

  • Comment number 66.

Damien Molony has just tweeted that he does more push-ups and sings tonight.......

    *off to have cold shower*

  • Comment number 67.

60 - We did see him transform in Ep 1 this series - sure we'll see him next week in full flow hopefully.

  • Comment number 68.

@58 yeah that makes sense! Maybe he's worked out that he can stop himself from being completely weak by working out a lot and it gives him something to concentrate on too, at least that way he might be an emotional mess but at least he looks good ;)

@59 I don't think there's been another full moon since the last transformation has there? It seems to be moving a lot faster than previous seasons. Reckon we should get another full moon this week or next!

And we have seen Tom transform, Cutler has a video of it!

  • Comment number 69.

@65. Yay, more push ups! :D hopefully he hasn't stopped doing them shirtless coz he wants to hide the burn or anything :/

  • Comment number 70.

    Ooh, my first live blog!
I'm getting more and more hyped as time passes (rather slowly I'm noticing)!
I just hope there's no more vampire policemen as I'm starting to think I may never be able to trust the police in real life ever again...
    Enjoy the show everybody!:)

  • Comment number 71.

got to make my cup of tea in a few mins, its what annie would want :) soooo excited!

  • Comment number 72.

66 - I am sorry but WHAT - he does push ups and sings........THUD! haven't thudded for anyone but AT so DM is doing good!

  • Comment number 73.

I mean't Tom transforming alone... It must be different than when doing it with others

  • Comment number 74.

off to put the dogs out and make a cup of tea. See you on the other side

  • Comment number 75.

@ 54 + 58 I'm thinking it maybe has more to do with the control it exerts over his body as opposed to actually getting buff

  • Comment number 76.

*fans herself and tries to calm down*
    press ups and singing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We need another topless cuddle with baby Eve!!
Oops that was a little too fan-girl *blushes and runs away to hide!!!*

  • Comment number 77.

Yeah I was surprised to see them transforming together, didn't they at one point say they would tear each other to pieces and the only reason George and Nina didn't is because they recognised each other and were in love? Or was that all found to be completely wrong

  • Comment number 78.

    Ten minutes!!!!

  • Comment number 79.

    66 = *THUD*

Going to get a good seat on the iplayer. See you all on the other side...

  • Comment number 80.

I think werewolves can change together, because they are all in a pack together... I'm guessing if one falls out with the pack they may attack each other

  • Comment number 81.

well, guess I'll be off then, wouldn't want all you lucky people living in the UK to spoil me ^^ cu once I've had a chance to watch that episode. *waves*

  • Comment number 82.

@75 for him it probably is but it could explain why he doesn't look at all weak despite going 55 years without drinking, when it has been previously said that Mitchell looked weak after just a few days

eeeeee 8 min to go! :D

  • Comment number 83.

It's nice that you can watch Antiques Roadshow while waiting for BH to start. Bet that's worth a couple of grand at least...

  • Comment number 84.

80- yea they can change together and like ...play or whatever werewolves do. but we haen't had two ww's that hate each other in the same room before. also i bet its relli strange for tom to transform on his own becuase he was always with his dad

  • Comment number 85.

@82 But surely the cravings would subside for a while so Mitchell was just goign through the initial "omg why no blood" stage the way I do if i don't have caffeine ? :P

  • Comment number 86.

    WOOOOO 4 MINUTES

  • Comment number 87.

good evening just a quick blog its going to be on soon so excuse any spelling mistakes im not checking it now! i dont like adam he irritates me, im going to see if i change my mind tonight!
@saint i think vamps can have kids, didnt fergus tell annie in the park that he had kids?

i watched the woman in black at the cinema today and pooed my pants!!!!!!
im glad the ghosts in BH arent like that!!
    3 mins to go!!!!! x x x x

  • Comment number 88.

I'm looking forward to seeing Hal sing.. A cool olden-day ditty would make me fall in love with him even more, I think ;)

  • Comment number 89.

@84 That's a good point, Tom probably never has transformed on his own since he was a little boy left to transform inside his dad's van.. He'd always been with his dad and then with George, will be interesting to see what he chooses to do now the choice is his own, will he go to the woods or the basement?

  • Comment number 90.

SO we have a new Type 4 then!

  • Comment number 91.

YESSSss finally it's time! Adam, a mystery new supernatural and a singing Hal! I can't be trying to keep up here while I'm watching, see y'all on the other side! :D

  • Comment number 92.

If you're still here - so am I!

  • Comment number 93.

Oh Adam... how I've missed you...

  • Comment number 94.

finally, new being human. I hope as Adam is in this one it means a new becoming human?

  • Comment number 95.

    Ah! Tom's new mum!

  • Comment number 97.

Boistrous but rather adorable too. Perfect description.

  • Comment number 98.

okay, she is just....creepy and very slightly annoying

  • Comment number 99.

98- agreed, she is beginning to annoy me.

  • Comment number 100.
