I don't understand what any of these scrolls mean... just what Regus said lol.

Hmmm, except have already seen this in Ep 1 when FW "Eve" gets the last piece (yes I did pause it on iplayer!). Don't know how to interpret it - too many possible interpretations. So now I'm definitely getting off the blog sofa and getting ready for Making History! Byee for now!

Woo hoo, new scroll...not that I'm very good at interpreting them, but this is the crucial one :P. Will be interested to see what people say.

The sign for human baby on the bottom piece includes the sign that Regus said meant death (compare to the other one, where there's a stick figure in the belly, the bottom one has the death sign in the belly), so that must be where she got that the baby has to die. Not sure what the other 2 signs are, or why they are inside the circle

I really don't want anything to happen to Eve...but from watching other supernatural shows, i've found that they don't work for too long with a baby in the mix. Am wondering whether she will be killed or if she'll start to grow very quickly. The pregnancy itself wasn't a normal gestation period.

Hey I haven't commented before and I'm not sure if my theory (slither of a theory anyway) has been discussed, please let me know. If grown up Eve convinces Annie to kill baby Eve then baby Eve will die before becoming grown up Eve and therefore won't exist in order to convince Annie to kill her. It's a paradox. I'm not sure what that would mean as different sci fi shows have differing ideas about the nature of paradox but could that be what the circle on the scroll refers too? A kind of never ending circle of events? Of course if the woman turns out not to be Eve this is all completely irrelevant x x x

jeasus last night was manic! that episode was like wow, then i am not even gonna talk about q&a..... agghh cant talk about what happened for spoilers for us peeps! Sadly got to go back to the real world now D:

i reckon that there should be a half blood baby from a vampire and human the yin to Eve's yang that save the world from both their kind. that is soooo going in my fanfic!

If a vampire who has been recording vampires history since 400ys can misread scrolls, so can certainly a human less privy to vampires
hence if regus can be wrong, Future Women can be wrong and is she the real War child.
One reason to hope is that Mitchell said during season 2 that vampires and Old Ones are fater world domination and 'then nothing comes of it'
my bet they all are posied ready to strike and then 'something happens' and LT will pull out this 'something' on sunday
but at the cost of one character and Damien has given us a big spoiler and poor rebecca so overwhelmed has missed it

Hi all! There was so much to think about in that episode, I barely slept last night. I'm like a zombie at work today.

I just wondered if perhaps the third scroll doesn't mean that Eve must die to save the world. Instead, I think it means

The human child of death will be the saviour of the world

The baby symbol with the death symbol within could be referring to the fact that Eve is the "daughter" of Annie...a ghost and therefore broadly speaking, death. They made a big deal of having Eve call Annie "Mum" throughout the episode and I still think it will be of vital importance in Ep 8.

I'm probably desperately clutching at straws because I don't want to see Annie leave as she would never in a million years abandon that baby or allow it to cross to the other side alone.

and if losing one's wife can drive a man albeit a vampire to total madness, see Cutler, losing Alex - have you noticed the red shadows of make up under damien eyes since he has drunk blood... could drive Hal back to Lord Harry.

76 Yeah, you're right in that it depends on the show's own thoughts on crossing your own time line. I'm struggling to word this so it makes sense, but if you think of Future Eve being in another timeline/dimension that branched off from the point where Annie chose to save her (instead of let her die) then it's fine for her to be alive when baby Eve dies, since it's in another timeline. She's just simply crossed them to get her message to Annie and other naughty stuff she's been doing!

Good afternoon all (I think I put morning on the other blog - I'm off work sick so I think I should be let off).

So we finally have the full scroll and we should be able to read it. The only thing I'm still not sure of is the bottom right symbol, yin-yang in a cup?

"Eve" in episode 1 is Eve the baby? going back to the past to kill herself?

Right!
After all the madness last night of the blog and that AMAZING episode, I can settle down now and try figure this bad boy out! :D

(1) I think we're pretty sure on the first one(on the left) which tells of the birth of a human baby in a house with a supernatural trinity (even though there's no symbol there for a ghost so a little bit of doubt there) under the symbol for the moon(so born to werewolves) Then the godhead symbol with the symbols for vampire and death on the other side - so she brings death to the vamps.

(2) If I'm reading in the right direction the next one is the bottom scroll. This scroll I think is the most confusing! Because there's that weird symbol on the right :S But that's definitely a Godhead/saviour symbol and the other one some kind of baby... A death symbol in the belly bit ... maybe it means abortion?! or a baby that brings death (which would be our baby eve). It all hinges on whatever that weird ying-yang like symbol means! It could mean ghost(Annie) or the "ring of steel!" which has meant humanity's downfall...
But if it tells of the stage we're at now, of how baby eve will cause the death of humanity by being kept alive, surely someone would have guessed in the 400 odd years it's been studied?! Unless they think it means she must be protected to prevent death... I have no idea! XD

(3) I think the third scroll(right hand side) is the one Regus explained to Annie, about the nemesis. Maybe the symbol that looks a bit like the symbol for travel means "nemesis" because the other symbols are Human, Arm, Fire and Time/eternity which maybe is what makes the fire mean past-tense "burnt". But the symbol for time and that one that's so similar to "travel" makes me think it's about our time travelling Future Eve...

That's all my thoughts so far ... that unknown symbol on the bottom scroll is driving me batty, I'd love to know what it means - Rebecca if you're reading this, maybe another symbols-key soon please?! :D

84 yeh that's a good point. Of course it could be that we're desperately over thinking it and that Eve has already saved the world by sending Hal to Annie and Tom and she doesn't know it yet x x x

Ok I've got two theories, let me know what you think and correct all my errors lol:

1. Annie will have to somehow accompany baby Eve to the other side thus fufilling her purpose so her door will open too. This connects to the idea that the old neighbour ghost introduced that your crossing over act doesn't necessarily have to be a good thing, just something you have to do. So baby Eve goes, Horrific future predicted by future Eve avoided and (unfortunately) Annie passes over BUT with Alex to replace her if we get to Series 5. Downsides to this tho are that it's quite simplistic and I don't really want Annie to go!!

2. Future Eve told us that she tried to chnage things, sending Kirby to kill baby Eve but crucially arranging for Hal live at the house. She knows eveil blood fuelled Lord Harry and assumes he will immediately kill baby Eve. But what she has forgotten is that when Hal is with good people (Leo & Pearl, Annie & Tom), has his routines and he is not drinking blood he is NOT the sadistic killer she knows. Future Eve herself says the only Hal she knew was as Lord Harry while Annie points out Hal has often 'changed her nappy' so clearly future Eve has already changed things. In sending Hal to the house she has done the opposite of what she intended - she has made him more human and less killer. Hal will not become Lord Harry, he wll stand and fight with Tom and Annie (we hope) and Annie just needs to have faith and not let baby Eve die!!

I like the second option much better - any thoughs?? Please share, I need something to keep me going til Sunday!!

My attitude to scroll is thus: other, cleverer people work them out and post their theories and then I use these to create theories of my own.

The theory I'm sticking to is the the nemesis will be a 'time-travelling human with a burnt arm' i.e. future Eve!
She is both nemesis and saviour - but not in the way she thinks.
She is the nemesis because she is trying to kill the baby which would allow the vampires to take over the world.
She is the saviour because she sent Hal to live with Annie and Tom which has been the deciding factor.

I'm sticking by this because little things like "Tom once killed some humans by mistake and never got over it"
I think this refers to the club. If Hal hadn't gone to live at HH, then the Alex thing wouldn't have happened and Hal probably wouldn't have been at the club at all, thus the humans wouldn't have got out like they did. So Future Eve has already changed the past so Tom, Hal and Annie will work together to defeat OOs unless Annie guves in and kills the baby!

I so desperately want one of my being human theories to be right but the writing is always too amazing and intricate for me to EVER guess right! :(

Eve said that the minute that she appeared to Pearl,Hal and Leo, she changed thier reality and it splintered off, well Annie was in that reality, so now that she has shown Annie the 'Future' at a differnet point doesn't that also mean Annie's reality has again split off from Hals and Tom's?

Hal in Eve's future was a monster BUT that was a future without having met Annie and Tom so could this not take him on this path where he is NOT Lord Hal. In Ghost 'EvE's' future he had no one I am guessing because he would have lost Leo and Pearl(poss.) and so fallen out of his OCD routines and maybe fallen back into killing? but this one he has met Annie and Tom and Alex.............so Maybe this will all be different.

Maybe by doing this Eve will with the help of Hal , Tom, Annie and Alex beable to for fill the prophecy, and stop the Vampires.

I've got a sneaky feeling that if TW has written this Next episode that something is going to happen to Annie......

Annie has Killed 2 living people Kemp, and the old man and killed Curby, what makes her killings any different from vampires.... They all kill for survival....

Annie to save her friends or baby eve...

As for the Prophecy about the Burnt arm evil, what if ghost Eve is actually that evil and she is tricking Annie into killing Baby Eve?

Oh and werewolf blood is toxic we how hear (funny how they beat up WW for fun and get blood on them before now) Anyhoot what if Eve's Blood is what will kill the O.O.? and that's why she has to die?
